"Go… Where to?" I ask as the beauty pulls me from my sleep.
"To record your song dumbass… Hyo's album comes out in 2 months. And Yuri said you have to be there by 9. We need to go to the booth A.S.A.P"
"Do we really have to go? Can't we just stay in bed today, Baechu?" I tilt my head, yawningly suggesting we play hookey
"NO!" She says as she forcefully pulls my covers off me, "You promised you'd take me with. I have to meet Hyo Unnie!"
"Since when were you such a big fan of Fin (Hyo's original girl-group)?"
"Since I was born. Now come, let's go already"
"Fine" I concede at the sight of her doe eyes, "Give me five minutes to get changed" I negotiate, giving her a quick kiss before running to the bathroom.
I head into the room and take a deep breath as I realise that this may be the first time, my memory of the future comes not from fact but rumours.
Should I just let things play out? I know Hyo ends up on the winning side of the matter eventually, but do I just want to play things out as they did or do I have the ability, the confidence to change things.
If you think about it, me being here has already affected the state of affairs, who even knows if my knowledge is still accurate or not.
'Aish.! I'm losing my mind'
Since when have I ever been one to think about consequences.
Screw it! Let's just do whatever I want.
If something happens. Then it happens. I will deal with it.
Splashing my face with cold water I sober up.
Slapping my face a couple of times, I give it some colour before reaching for my phone.
"Jae-ass" I say in to the speaker
"Hey, How many times do I have to tell you not to call me that?"
"Come on its American. Jae(bum) = Jae(ass) same thing"
"Argh. You are lucky you pay me or "
"Or what? Must I cut your pay again"
"Argh. Just tell me what you want"
"Well you've become smarter. Get Captain Ri to gather all the intel on Media-M they can. I expect everything done within the next 10 minutes"
"Easy" He answers, "But why? You aren't trying to seduce Lee Hyo too now are you?"
"How do you know about Hyo?"
"Well… as Dylan Park's right handed man and confidante, I know everything" He says proudly, before confessing, "Yuri noona called and said that you wrote a song for Lee Hyo. She wanted me to check if it was plagirised"
"I can't believe you guys"
"Anyway it wasn't. So all good, right"
"I guess, anyway I got to get dressed. You have 8 minutes to finish now since you wasted so much time talking nonsense"
"But…"
Before even allowing him to answer, I hang up and proceed to get dressed.
After a bit of debate and virtual advice from my co-ordinator, I/we decide to keep it casual. White trainers, paired with a tapered bottom blue pants, matching blazer, with a white sweater underneath. I fix my hair into a pompadour, which give me a refined feel as I grab a pair of black-framed ray-bans to complete the look.
After adjustment or two, my phone goes off signaling that I just received a mail.
Logginf on to my PC, I give it a quick once over and press print, before tucking the pages into my inner jacket pocket.
As I exit the room, I feel Hora's eyes giving me a once over as she makes her way over fixing up my collar, "Did you have to dress up like this?"
"How?"
"You are literally screaming, look at me 'I'm a celebrity'"
"And you don't like it?"
"No, I quite like it. You clean up nice. I just wanted you to know that"
Smiling at her childish compliment, I lean forward resting my forehead against hers, "Well the mortal has to look his best, in order to keep his goddess happy"
In a softish voice, she answers back " You are still so cringey"
"Only for you, my dear"
Making my way over to the key rack, I pick out the keys for the Maserati. Deciding to keep it a little less showy today.
"Are you ready?"
She nods quickly as we take the elevator down to the basement floor and to our vehicle.
Getting behind the wheel, since the accident has been a little difficult to say the least but as if on cue, Hora lightly pats the back of my hand.
Looking to her and her smile that gives me sun during the darkest of days, the entire world disappears and I feel at ease again as I step on the gas and we head off to the recording studio.
