Chapter 14:Fun at the Beach

After that, Seymour tried his hardest to get to know Alora but she would have none of that. She hugged my arm so tight trying to get to him that I was hers. Felicia was walking with Edward but it seemed as if he wasn't paying attention at all. I didn't hear much of the conversation they were having. Felicia picked her sun bathing spot and unraveled blankets on the sand. Edward stood next to her, his hands on his swimming trunk hips, as the green eyes watched Seymour, Alora and I catch up.

"Let's wait a little bit before we eat." Felicia said pulling the sun dress she had over her head revealing the two piece almost bra and pantie designed garment. I sighed, sitting on one of the blankets with my knees to my chest and my arms hugging my knees. Edward moved to sit next to me but Felicia grabbed his hand looking from him to Alora as Alora watched the waves play on the beach. "Come on. Lets go play with Alora in the water." She said. Edward pulled his shirt over his head as I turned mine away from his shirtless efforts. I was only greeted then by the muscular slight black haired chest as the counter part of the man I was trying not to watch sat next to me. Felicia looked down at me, her Grey eyes holding concern then excitement. "Jaq take your sundress off."

"No thank you." I said low watching Alora now as she filled a bucket full of sand. I felt the breath in my ear before the voice as he made it sound seductive and loud enough for Edward to hear.

"Come on Alora. Let's go swimming." I heard Edward's low husky voice as he took Alora's hand and headed with Felicia to the water. Seymour watched them go to the water then came back to sit next to me.

"Not what you expected?" I asked low.

"No." He said as he leaned back on the blanket watching the waves and a random crab being washed back out to sea. Neither one of us said anything as I watched Felicia, Edward and Alora play in the water. I felt Seymour's blue green eyes on me as I watched the trio play in the water.

"At least I know... Alora will be taken care of." I said mostly to myself but I felt him lean to me again. His hairs from his chest tickling my arm.

"Coming to grips with reality?" He asked.

"I guess so."

"Then, tomorrow we leave." He stood as I felt the tears threatening. It wasn't going to be easy, or painless, but I had to leave. I didn't want to like so many times I had but it was what it was. I couldn't fight fate and Seymour was at the core of it. I watched him wash the sand from his body by the water. He was a little bigger in size then Edward. His shoulders wider, his hair longer. However, I wasn't in love with him. I had known that I was never going to have that so I had been prepared for it. He came back, grabbed the shovel and the bucket looking down at me. "Come, build a sand castle with me." His hand held out for mine as I watched the jester. I sighed standing without taking his hand. We walked a little closer to the water and began building.

An hour later we had eaten, rested, and the small sand castle that Seymour and I had built was now washed away with the waves. Edward's attention wasn't on the story that Felicia was telling him. Nor was Alora's as they sat on the other blanket. Seymour made it clear that he wasn't going to leave from my side as we continued to rest before going into the water.

"Wouldn't you agree, Jaq?" I snapped my head up to look at her.

"What.. I am sorry I wasn't paying attention." She shook her auburn head.

"About the two countries. They both can benefit from becoming one instead of being separated like they are."

"Oh... yes I guess that can be true." I said as Edward stood apparently bored or frustrated from the conversation.

"Let's all go back into the water." He said. I heard a cell phone behind me go off. It wasn't Edward's ring tone. Seymour reached behind me, pulled the phone from his shirt pocket, looked at the number and hit a button.

"Be right back." He said, stood then started to talk into the phone walked a few yards from us. Felicia stood as I did the same.

"I don't want to go in the water." I said as Alora grabbed her arm floats. "I will just walk along the beach."

"Suit yourself." Felicia grasped Edward's arm, turned him to the water, and continued to walk that way. Alora followed, grabbing Felicia's other hand. Alora seemed not to have a problem with Felicia but Seymour. I felt better at leaving tomorrow. Even if I was going to leave my heart and soul here with the two people I loved, I was going to have to look at the positive side of things. I walked along the beach thinking, walked along the ridge that hid the beach. I bent to pick up a shell to look at it. It was small, spiral, and I saw little legs coming out of it. I smiled at the small sea creature and placed it back on the sand.

"I refuse to believe that you are actually going to leave with him tomorrow." I heard Edward's voice behind me. I closed my eyes for a moment before turning them to Edward. We were in a small area that hid the blankets and the playing trio now in the water. I kicked the sand slightly, moving my feet along it making little forms in the sand. Edward's arms were folded over his chest as he stood his full six foot plus in front of me. I moved my hair behind my ear as I looked straight at him. "I also find it hard to believe that you could keep such a secret from me." My eye brows corked inward as he didn't move but kept his eyes on me. He held his hand out then, as if I had something to give him. "Show it to me." His voice was low, hurt, and mostly concerned. I shook my head, giving him a confused look.

"Edward.. I have no idea what you are talking about." He then proceeded to walk towards me. I backed up and almost immediately hit the rock formation behind me. His hands went next on either side of my head as his brilliant green cloudy eyes looked at me.

"The necklace that you have placed a invisibility charm on." I gasped, looking wide eyes up at him. "Let-me-see-it." I felt the tears as I waved my hand over the pendant as it revealed itself to him. Without me taking it off, he took it from between my breasts. My breathing went from normal to quick un rhythm as his finger tips touched the top of my mounds. I closed my eyes, bending my head forward. "Jaqualine Vanderpool." He said not reading the rest of it out loud. He let it go, bent his head looking at the ground. The once flat hands turned to fists at my head as every emotion played on his handsome face.

"I'm sorry Edward."

"Why... why didn't you tell me." My heart stopped for a moment not helping the breathing problem as it then quickened to catch up with the lose of beats. "I knew something was wrong. Why would Seymour have his whole life dedicated to finding that Virgoain, then come here to take you from me. It didn't make sense." His voice also held every emotion as if he didn't know rather to be mad, pissed, concerned, betrayed or thrilled. "All these years." He paused to think further. His eyes opened as the shock had left the playing emotions. "Knowing when I was going to be sick from the whiskey, knowing how each women was that I brought into the house." He looked up at me. His green livid eyes held tears in them, his stance became tense as he then spoke the next event to me. "You stopped that car that night didn't you? Stopped the car from going into that frozen stream." I nodded my head feeling the knot at the base of my throat. "You even pretended to sound interested in what I was dealing with, with Seymour. How in the fucken hell did you manage to stay so damn calm after knowing that the man that was looking for you was my brother!" His voice got louder and louder as he moved away from me. His broad back facing me, his arms at his side as he took deep breaths. "Jaq... I don't want you to leave. Ever."

"Edward, you know it's going to happen." I said in a whisper. He turned so sudden, the hands back to next to my head. I jerked back never seeing that dark angry green in his eyes ever looking at me.

"You belong to me." He said his voice even sounded like that annoying sound of nails on chalk board. I opened my mouth to say something when they were covered by his own. He pressed his body against mine almost pushing me into the side of the rock formation. I moaned at the intimate contact as his arms came around me pressing me to him as if he couldn't get close enough. His one hand entangled in my hair as the other was on the small of my back. He groaned as his tongue forced my lips apart to savor the inside.

"Hmm." I gave a purr before pushing against him ended back against the rock and out of his arms. "Edward... please... don't... don't make this harder then what it already is." I felt the tears running down my cheeks looking up at the plain as day desire on his reddened face. "Besides, you already told Alora people aren't to own." I held my head down, walked around him leaving a seething Edward to stand there. I stopped, then turned side ways to him. "Since this is probably the only time I am able to ask this, I may as well ask." He turned to me. The green eyes still livid. "I think it's fair enough to ask you the same question."

"What do you mean?"

"Why keep who you are a secret?"

"You read it then." His voice low, husky as he stood there.

"If you mean the diary entry of my father, yes."

"Because, I thought Alora and I were the last. Alora knows."

"Then, that is my answer as well." I gave him a fake caked on smile and turned to walk towards the blankets. Alora had continued her assaults on Seymour as I grabbed my sun dress, pulling it over my head.

"Love, what's wrong?"

"I don't feel to well. To much sun I guess. Besides," I smiled at Seymour the same fake caked on smile I gave Edward before departing from the rock. "If we are leaving tomorrow.... I have to pack." Alora stopped her next assault of cry dad in the bucket and looked up from Seymour to me. I didn't wait for the crying or the tantrum to start as I ran into the house.
