As one of the Five Forbidden Lands, the fear surrounding the Soul Devouring Mountain was so great no carriages travelled in its direction either.

Due to this, Yang Shen who had bid goodbye to Bingqing was forced to use his very two legs if he wanted to go there.

[Heart Destroying Spear (Level 6)

An ordinary Level 5 Spear whose tip was soaked in the venom of the Heart Destroying Snake. Stabbing anyone with the spear will poison them. Pouring your Qi into the spear will allow you to make it bend according to your wish.

Remarks: Don't stab yourself to test the poison.]

Looking towards the spear he purchased from the system for 520 Points, Yang Shen tied it to his back since it was going to be a long time before he reached the mountain and before he reached there, he wouldn't encounter a Profound Beast unless he had the worst luck in the world.

Using a spear which would poison the enemies indeed wasn't chivalrous or something that a 'dragon' would do.

But so what?

Even though Bingqing said that dragons used spears, this dragon was more concerned with surviving against strong beasts he couldn't defeat with his own strength and not looking cool and strong.

Therefore, he didn't care what others would think when they learnt that the tip of his spear contained poison.

Instead, what Yang Shen was thinking about was whether or not he should purchase an armor as well.

After all, he had sold his greatsword, the Giant Wolf's Fang and the damaged Ice Snake Armor to the system in exchange for 92 Points.

And since that allowed him to offset the cost of purchasing the spear, Yang Shen had quite a lot of points left with him.

Having earned around 900 XP the first time he had sex with Bingqing, Yang Shen would've possessed a lot more XP right now if it wasn't for the fact that dual cultivating with the same woman decreased the XP he obtained.

Luckily, he continued to receive 30 Points every time he slept with Bingqing since the difference in cultivation between him and her didn't change.

Due to this, Yang Shen right now possessed more than enough Points to purchase a Level 6 Armor.

Sure it wouldn't be much useful in the face of Mid Grade Profound Beasts which were present all over Soul Devouring Mountain, but something was better than nothing, right?

However, if he purchased an armor, Yang Shen wouldn't be able to purchase a Battle Skill. And without obtaining a Battle Skill, Yang Shen had no way of training himself in using Qi.

Therefore, after an internal debate which was neither short nor long, Yang Shen didn't hesitate in deciding that it was his foundation and future which mattered more.

Due to this, Yang Shen while walking towards the Soul Devouring Mountain opened the shop to find a suitable Battle Skill.

Battle Skills in short were combat techniques which used the Qi inside the cultivator to increase their fighting capabilities.

Be it through increasing their offence, their defence, or their agility, Battle Skills depending on their grade performed wonders by allowing cultivators to bring forth more than strength in a short period of time.

That is, by allowing cultivators to focus on aspect and not use their Qi cruelty to cover their bodies or weapons, Battle Skills were divided into levels depending on how much they could increase the cultivator's combat ability.

Soldier, Noble, and King Grade were the three grades of Battle Skills. And similarly the grades of the Cultivation Techniques as well.

Soldier Grage Battle Skills were of the lowest grade with the Qi inside them not leaving their bodies when used. Using a Noble Grade Battle Skill would cover the part related to the technique in Qi.

And finally the King Grade Battle Skills.

Other than representing the highest grade of Battle Skills, the Qi could leave the body of the cultivators in various forms and further increase their effectiveness.

[Pouncing Tiger Spear (Soldier Grade - 50 Points)

The Demon King's Crippling Strike (Soldier Grade - 50 Points)

Flood Dragon Flies to the Sky (Noble Grade - 150 Points)

Crimson Fire Spear Dance (Noble Grade - 150 Points)

Void Piercing Thrust (King Grade - 300 Points)

Devil Beheading Spear (King Grade - 300 Points)

….]

Scrolling through the Battle Skills which he had filtered to only show him those related to spears, Yang Shen found his head hurting from the huge number of Battle Skills there were.

Unlike a Cultivation Technique which couldn't be changed whenever one felt like it, there were no restrictions on Battle Skills.

Due to this, Yang Shen could pick any Battle Skill, use it for a while, and then forget about it when he learnt a new Battle Skill.

In that case what was holding Yang Shen who had more than enough points to purchase a King Grade Battle Skill back?

It was simple.

There were five styles to use a spear. And only after mastering all five of them could one be considered as having obtained the qualifications to call themselves a spear wielder.

And with each Battle Skill relating to a single style of spear wielding, Yang Shen was worried that he would purchase Battle Skills which would contradict each other and make it impossible to use them together.

Therefore, if possible he wanted to purchase a Battle Skill similar to the Primordial Nine Suns Cultivation Technique.

That is, something which had a Part 2, 3 and so on.

But given that even the Primordial Nine Suns Technique could only be purchased after he searched for it, and not through scrolling through the shop, Yang Shen had no way of searching and obtaining a Spear Battle Skill with continuation paths.

Turns out that the Primordial Nine Suns Technique is higher than the King Grade and therefore is not shown in the shop's list of cultivation techniques.

But since Yang Shen knew its name, he could search for it and purchase it as long as he possessed enough points.

That was why he was never able to see what Grade it belonged to.

However, was it possible for Yang Shen to randomly enter some words and click the search button and find similar high level techniques which weren't visible in the shop's list of purchasable items and at the same time were related to the spear and possessed continuation parts as well?

Time to find out.
