Chapter 113 - Cap 104: Options

The sound of metal on metal sounded throughout Konoha as shinobis from three villages fought.

"Why did you betray us?! KANKURO!" - roared Baki as he watched his student in fury. He had received word that the shinobis of Suna were attacking the shinobis of Oto.

"Why?! Don't you see it?!" - roared Kankuro angrily - "Don't you see what the consequences will be for Suna when this is all over?! Are you so stupid as to trust that bastard Orochimaru as a helper?!"

"It's the only option Suna has!" - Baki exclaimed as he took up his fighting position.

"Wrong! Suna has other options!" - said the Suna boy coolly - "We always had other options!"

"So much peace has blinded this new generation" - denied Baki as he pulled out two Kunais - "It's a pity I have to kill you for treason, Kankuro... you had the potential to overcome Sasori"

"I'm sorry to tell you that I'm not your opponent," said Kankuro as he shook his head. "'But she is"

"?" - Baki jumped backward when he noticed how a lot of killer instinct was coming at him, only to notice a beautiful purple-haired woman - ". . ."

"You don't know how much I wish I had you in front of me..." - said Yugao, who had thrown his Anbu mask to the ground - "The hatred... the thirst for revenge... all these dark emotions I have inside my c.h.e.s.t..."

". . ." - Baki only squinted because he honestly didn't know the reason for the woman's action in front of him.

"It's obvious that you don't know... I guess I'll have to introduce myself" - said Yugao coldly as she drew her katana and got into a fighting position that could not be more familiar to the Sunanin - "My name is Yugao Uzuki... fiancée of the murdered Tokubetsu Jonin, Hayate Gekko"

"I see..." - Baki murmured as he squinted - "I guess you won't let me leave to continue my mission"

". . ." - Yugao didn't respond, she just tightened the hilt of her sword more firmly.

"Let's see if you're better than your boyfriend," said Baki as he threw himself at the girl.

Yugao only created two Kage Bunshin while throwing himself at Baki with his sword - "It's time to show you the power of the style that united my fiancé and me..."

"Not bad, Yamato-san..." - said Kabuto as he watched the Jonin he was fighting.

". . ." - Yamato-san only squinted because he felt this was taking longer than he thought, though he couldn't be blamed. After all, Kabuto-san was much more trouble than he had thought.

'Kabuto-sama! We're in trouble!'

"What's going on?" - Orochimaru's second-in-command asked mentally as he frowned.

'Sir! Suna betrayed us and is attacking our forces instead of Konoha's!'

"What?!" - Kabuto couldn't contain his surprise when he heard this, to the point where he didn't even bother to hide his cry - "How is that possible?!"

'It seems that Kankuro, one of Rasa-sama's sons, convinced the Suna forces to turn against us'

"That idiot Baki..." - roared Kabuto in fury, only to recoil when he felt something approaching him.

"Keep your mind on the battle when you are facing someone of equal skill," Yamato said neutrally as he watched Kabuto's eyebrow tremble with fury.

"I have no time for this crap, I have to report to Orochimaru-sama," Kabuto said as he clicked his tongue.

"Then we will take care of him," said an obese man as three additional silhouettes appeared beside him.

"Okay, don't let your guard down," said Kabuto as he ran to their leader.

". . ." -Yamato again squinted when he saw that he was now outnumbered.

"I'm sorry to tell you that we don't have time to play with you, so we'll make this quick," said the fat man as the other three nodded. Each of them, stood in a different direction as they held out one of their hands.

Yamato was alert to any situation, but his expression changed when he heard the word that came out of the four hooded ones' mouths - "Fuin!"

"Shit!" - exclaimed the Mokuton user as he tried to back up, only to notice a barrier blocking all his escape routes.

"As much as we would like to eliminate you, we don't have the time to do it" - said one of the hooded men.

"I still say we should take the opportunity," said the female.

"You'd better keep quiet," snorted another hooded man.

"Yes, we don't need your opinion, you little bitch," said another voice from the same hood.

"You want to fight, freak?" - said the woman coldly.

"Enough!" - exclaimed the fat man - "We still have a mission to accomplish!"

"Hmph!" - The woman only gave them a snort as she disappeared from the scene.

"I still say we'd better kill her here and now... after all, she's not necessary" - said the tallest hood in the group.

"As tempting as the idea sounds, we won't do it until Orochimaru-sama gives us the order," said the fat man as he shook his head.

"We can say it was an accident," said the third hooded man.

"I agree with my brother," said the second voice.

"No... it's my final decision," said the fat man as he disappeared.

Yamato was surprised to hear the conversation because it was obvious that this team was not as harmonious as he had originally thought, although seeing how things were in Oto, it was not so surprising.

"These bastards keep showing up," Anko said with a scowl as she watched her babes bite one of Oto's shinobis to death, a great irony if you think about it.

"Language," said Kurenai as she watched an Otonin convulse to the ground, only to be rendered completely inert after a few seconds.

"Oh~Come on~!" - g.r.o.a.n.e.d Anko in annoyance - "We're in the middle of the battlefield for God's sake! Can't you stop being so annoying?!"

"If you' re done playing around, we'd better keep going," said Kakashi seriously as he ran through an Otonin with his kunai - "More action, fewer words"

"You know Kakashi? You're boring," Anko said angrily as she made hand seals at full speed, only to have a snake mouth appear from the ground after a few seconds and devour a poor unfortunate man in one bite - "Remind me to catch a few so I can have some fun later"

"I still don't understand how Kurama can handle you," said Gai with surprise. Honestly, he would never think of being in a relationship with Anko because she was too much for someone like him.

"The real question is... how can I handle someone like him" - answered the snake charmer as she snapped her fingers, and in the process, made a lot of snakes come out of the ground - "I'm sure I'm going to have to retire early because that idiot is going to knock my h.i.p.s off from so much hard s.e.x".

"It was not information I needed to hear," Kakashi said with a scowl.

"Don't be such a princess," Anko snorted. "You don't have to feel bad just because my Foxy-kun is an insatiable beast in bed... or the bathroom... or the woods... or in an alley... remind me that when this is over, let's do it in the tower of Hiruzen-sama"

"Anko!" - exclaimed Kurenai with a red face as she clicked her tongue as she noticed an Otonin throwing a large amount of Kunais at her - "You can't wait a while! I'm trying to lecture that pervert!"

"I don't think that's how death fights work, Kurenai" - said Kakashi as he rolled his eyes.

"It's good that our Genin are escorting the civilians... because you're not setting the best example" - said Gai as he shook his head.

" Where are your tails, you stinking fox?" - Gaara/Shukaku asked as he looked down, noting that the redhead had only one visible tail.

"I don't need anymore to kick your sandy a.s.s," Kurama replied as he snorted at him.

"I always found that smug attitude of yours annoying..." - said Shukaku coldly - "It was always the same, all because you had more tails than the rest"

"You're just saying that because you've always been jealous that we have more tails than you" - said Kurama seriously - "Admit it, Shukaku, that's why you hate me so much..."

"Enough!" - roared the transformed Jinchuriki - "We've talked too much already! It's time we fought!"

"Fighting is a word I wouldn't use in this situation..." - said Kurama calmly as his features slowly changed. His face gradually changed to a more beastly one, his teeth became fangs, his pupils sharpened, his tail trembled threateningly, his hands became claws, but that was not the most important change, he was being covered by a large amount of blood-red chakra - "A fight is when two parties have the same level of power..."

"Right... I'm much stronger than you!" - roared Shukaku as he threw himself at the ginger man along with a large amount of sand. But when he was just a few feet away, he felt a fist hit his stomach with great force - "Gaha!"

"That's where you're wrong, my silly little brother..." - said Kurama coldly - "Because this is not even 20% of my total power..."

"You don't know how long I've been holding back from causing chaos and destruction... how long I've been wanting to release all my power..." - said Kurama as he looked into the Tanuki's dark eyes - "It feels... so good to 'stretch my legs'"
