Chapter 336 - Cap 314: Ancient Prophecy

The two energy shots produced by the two huge beasts hit each other.

Chaos was surrounding the place while the trees and mountains were flying as if they were made of paper.

Sasuke could barely resist the power of the shockwave that almost sent him flying, only to feel a shiver down his back - "This is no longer a fight I can participate in..."

Lightning bolts were falling from the sky as huge storms surrounded the place along with the movements of the earth, demonstrating the scene of a true apocalypse.

The young Uchiha didn't know how to react because he wouldn't lie, he was terrified by the devastation the two beasts had caused, but his expression quickly changed when he felt a familiar voice in his head - "Sasuke.... go fight Madara while I take care of that thing..."

"Ok..." - Sasuke nodded as he relaxed a bit. He quickly jumped in the direction where Madara was waiting, only to attack with his sword.

"Oh? You're coming at me? Instead of running, you're coming at me?" - Madara asked as he stretched out his arms with a wild grin on his face.

"I can't beat the shit out of you if I don't come over..." - Sasuke replied neutrally as his Rinne Sharingan glowed with viciousness.

"Then get as close as you want!" - Madara exclaimed, only to block Sasuke's Katana attack with his black staff - "Let's see how long you can entertain me, young Uchiha!"

Sasuke didn't answer him, he just concentrated on his opponent as he continued to attack with all his might, not noticing how the lightning bolts in the sky started to become more frequent.

"This is worse than I thought it would be..." - Kushina said as she looked around. She had returned to the battlefield after leaving all the women of the Uzumaki clan in Uzu, only to see how chaos was present all over the place.

"Everything alright?" - Hashirama asked as he dragged a tired Orochimaru.

Kushina gave him a glance though she quickly focused on the destruction in the surroundings - "Can someone tell me what happened?"

"Kurama and Sasuke have been fighting Madara, but things changed when my old friend summoned that thing" - Hashirama replied with a frown.

"From the number of tails it's obviously the Jubi" - Tobirama added seriously while shaking his head - "And now I understand why it shouldn't have come back to this world..."

"You haven't seen anything..." - Orochimaru said painfully while breathing heavily - "That's not its true form..."

Kushina and the Senju siblings looked at the Renegade Sannin as they waited for him to continue.

"During the time I was researching the secret of the Rikudou Sennin in order to extend my life, I found a few old books and doc.u.ments that told some legends..." - Orochimaru continued as he looked at Kushina - "Your clans are not the only descendants of the Rikudou Sennin, there are many more, such as for example the Kaguya clan..."

Kushina was not surprised at this because in the ancient writings that were in the library of the Uzumaki tower, there was information about some of these clans, although the vast majority were already extinct.

"Better stop beating around the bush and give us the information right away" - Tobirama said with a frown.

"Ok... I still don't have much time before I lose consciousness due to the large consumption of chakra" - replied Orochimaru while vomiting some blood - "In one of those writings, I found strange drawings of a ten-tailed monstrosity, and now that I see that thing, it's obvious that they were a representation of the Jubi..."

Orochimaru again vomited a bit of blood as he weakly moved his hand in the direction of his pocket, only to pull out a small scroll. He slowly opened it, showing that it was blank, only to make some faint hand seals.

"What are you doing?" - Hashirama asked with a frown.

"It's a technique I invented, the purpose is to capture on a scroll the image you want to explain, although to do this you have to have not only good chakra control, but also possess enormous concentration and have the clear image" - Tobirama answered while nodding - "Although remembering your words, I'm surprised that we are lucky that those memories have not been destroyed..."

"It's not luck... it's simply that I'm using part of my little vitality to be able to regenerate that part of my mind" - replied Orochimaru as he felt his body was getting weaker and weaker - "Anything to fulfill my revenge..."

Kushina said nothing in response because she honestly didn't feel sorry or sympathy for the Renegade Sannin. He had decided his path and now he was paying for it.

"Done..." - Orochimaru muttered before falling unconscious.

Hashirama picked him up, only to see how he was still breathing.

"He may be an insane bastard with strange tastes, but there's no doubting that he's a genius" - Tobirama said as he looked at the Sannin, only to shake his head as he thought about what Konoha would have been like if this man had never made those mistakes, though he quickly shook his head because none of that matters because in this world there was no such thing as 'What if?'

Kushina continued in silence as she watched as on the horizon, two huge beasts were fighting each other.

"So, I guess we'd better see what our 'host' brought..." - Tobirama said as he took the scroll, only to frown as he noticed the drawn beast appeared to be much more savage - "Our Jubi would appear to be much more.... 'Human' than the one in the picture..."

Kushina picked up the scroll, only to frown because she felt like she was forgetting something. She slowly tried to recall, only to open her eyes in surprise - "I'll be back in a second..."

"Uh... I think we missed something..." - Hashirama said as he noticed how Tobirama stepped out of the seal and prepared to continue protecting the members of the allied forces - "Wait for me, Tobi!"

"Huh? Kushina-chan?" - Mito said in surprise when she saw the current matriarch of the Uzumaki clan appear in a red flash. The wife of the Shodaime Hokage was playing with her great-grandchildren, only to be surprised to notice how her student was ignoring her - "I guess it's something serious..."

Mito quickly handed her offspring over to Tsunade, just to walk in the direction where Kushina had departed. While she wanted to spend more time with the children, this was not the best time for it as the tremors were becoming more frequent.

Tsunade was about to ask what was going on, but decided to keep quiet when she saw how her grandmother had retreated with a serious expression - "What could have happened?"

Mito walked quietly towards the library, the place where he had sensed Kushina had headed, only to walk to where she was sitting with a serious expression - "What are you looking for?"

"Huh? Oh... sorry, Mito-sama" - Kushina said while shaking her head - "It's just that I found an image that made me remember a certain ancient writing..."

"Image?" - Mito asked with a frown as she took the scroll Kushina was handing her. She quickly opened it, only to widen her eyes in surprise because that image also made her remember the doc.u.ment her student was trying to find - "If I remember correctly, it has to be in 'History of the Uzumaki clan', or in the 'Prophecies' section..."

The two red-haired women quickly walked to those sections, Kushina headed to 'History' while Mito to 'Prophecies', only to start searching thoroughly.

"This will take a while, so we'd better use our clones" - Kushina said while Mito nodded. They quickly summoned their clones and made them work at full speed because there was no time to waste.

Fifteen minutes of searching passed when one of Mito's clones started to exclaim that she had found something.

The two women quickly walked in his direction only, to frown when they read the title - "End Times Prophecy... that doesn't sound too good..."

Kushina decided to ignore her teacher's 'smart remark', only to pick up the scroll and start reading it, just for her expression to become increasingly neutral.

The scroll was simple, a picture with a text on the side that did not bode well with its letters written in what appeared to be blood. The image did not bode well either as it showed the shadow of a Ten-Tailed beast with the slightly oval shape, but the most prominent feature was the huge red eye on its head.

"Fear the return of the beast of the apocalypse for his coming will bring the death of the world."

"The rivers will dry up, the trees will wither, the ground will split, the mountains will crumble, the oceans will lose all life while mankind will perish"

"Only a tiny hope of salvation will exist, the power of the nine will have to be used, but beware, of an ancient evil, for the beast of the apocalypse is not the end"

"What do you mean it's not the end?" - muttered Mito as Kushina remembered the story Kurama had told her - "Do you know something?"
