"I think it's time for me to head to earth to find my wife" - Toneri said as he opened his pale eyes. He was a boy of about 16 years old with light blue hair and was wearing a kimono that looked like a second skin, as it was just as white as his skin.
"As I said before, Toneri, you'd better not try anything weird" - Hamura said as he appeared in front of the boy - "The situation in the lower world is much more complex than you think, not to mention that the two heiresses of the Hyuga clan are in love with the same man, Uzumaki Kurama, leader of the Uzumaki clan and reincarnation of Ashura, the son of my older brother."
". . ." - Toneri was silent for a few seconds before looking at his ancestor - "Does that mean that everything I've done these years... all the suffering I've gone through... Has it been for nothing?"
"I'm sorry, son" - sighed Hamura as he looked at the young Otsutsuki.
"I..." - Toneri muttered as he bit his lip, only to feel a hand on his shoulder - "Hamura-sama?"
"Toneri, now that you don't have to follow with the instructions of your ancestors, you can live your life as you wish" - Hamura said with a smile as he looked at his heir - "Now that you won't marry the princess of the Byakugan, you can seek your own happiness in the lower world, now that peace is reigning..."
"My happiness..." - Toneri muttered as he thought about his ancestor's words - "Ok, I'll give it a try... but first, I'd like to see the woman who should have been my wife."
"I can do that, although I recommend you to be careful with what you say because Uzumaki Kurama is much stronger than you think" - replied Hamura seriously - "Not to mention that that's the place where my mother is dwelling"
"Kaguya-sama?" - Toneri asked with a frown because it had been his clan's responsibility to guard the seal of the mother of the Chakra, only to fail catastrophically - "I understand, I'll think before I speak"
"OK, let's go so you can meet the other members of our family" - Hamura replied as the two disappeared from the moon and appeared in front of the Uzumaki Tower.
* * * * *
"Who are you and what are you doing in this place!" - One of the guards exclaimed as he saw a light blue-haired man appear out of nowhere.
"My name is Otsutsuki Toneri, a descendant of the moon people and I have come to speak with Uzumaki Kurama, leader of the Uzumaki clan" - Toneri replied politely.
The two guards were silent when they heard this, but stepped back when they felt a strong presence.
"Hamura..." - Kaguya said as she reached the entrance because she felt the presence of her youngest son, only to notice Toneri's appearance - ". . ."
"Kaguya-sama..." - Toneri muttered as he clenched his fist helplessly.
"Descendant of the moon, one of my jailers..." - Kaguya replied calmly as she looked at the boy for a second or two before turning around - "Uzumaki Kurama has been awaiting your arrival."
"He has been awaiting my arrival?" - Toneri asked in surprise.
"Hagoromo informed us about you" - Kaguya answered as she disappeared from the place.
Toneri was silent for a few seconds before asking one of the guards.
After a few seconds, Toneri arrived at the Uzumaki leader's office and opened the door, only to see a white-haired man standing next to a beautiful navy blue-haired woman with pearl-white eyes.
Toneri gawked for a few seconds at the woman's beauty, only to shake his head because he had a feeling he knew who it was.
"Nice to meet you, young moon dweller, my name is Uzumaki Kurama, leader of the Uzumaki clan and as you can see, a descendant of the Otsutsuki clan just like you" - said Kurama when he saw the light blue-haired boy - "By my side is my wife, Hyuga Hinata, the princess of the Byakugan."
Toneri was silent for a few seconds before nodding - "A p.l.e.a.s.u.r.e, my name is Otsutsuki Toneri, the descendant of Hamura-sama and last survivor of the moon clan."
"The last survivor?" - Kurama asked with a frown because from what he had heard from Hagoromo, the Otsutsuki clan of a moon should be a prosperous clan.
"Maybe your information is a bit outdated, but the moon clan has ceased to exist thanks to that we killed each other" - replied Toneri as he looked down. He could still remember his childhood and how his father and uncles, as well as his brothers, tried to assassinate each other to gain much greater power.
"I see..." - Kurama muttered as he nodded - "I'm sorry to hear that... Is there anything you need so that you can have a better stay in the mortal world?"
"Your words are more than enough" - Toneri replied as he was grateful for Kurama's intentions. He could sense that he wasn't saying it not out of pity, but out of kindness.
"OK..." - Kurama nodded calmly as his expression turned serious - "Tousan, I mean, Hagoromo-sama informed me about your situation, but I'm sorry to tell you that I don't plan to give up my wife for a legend of your clan, Toneri-san..."
"I know, Hamura-sama informed me a little about your situation, and although I find it a pity, I don't plan to try anything against Hinata-sama" - Toneri-san answered seriously - "Hamura-sama also told me that now that I don't have to follow the ancestral orders, I can find my happiness."
"That's good to hear" - Kurama replied as he let out a sigh of relief because he didn't want to fight Toneri, not when he was the last of his clan - "As for trying to find your happiness, the Uzumaki clan will do their best to help you"
"The Hyuga clan will also help you, in fact, I think it would be a good start if you go to Konoha first" - Hinata said as she intervened for the first time in the conversation - "I may not be able to become your wife because I already have my special one, but that doesn't mean that my clan can't compensate you in some way"
"Make it up with me?" - Toneri said with surprise.
"Our clans are connected, that's why I think that if you want to start looking for your happiness, it may happen in the Hyuga clan" - replied Hinata with a smile - "Even if you want, I could introduce you to some friends of mine."
Toneri felt a bit uncomfortable with the situation, but he still thanked the Byakugan Princess.
"Do you want me to send you over there?" - Cloud asked as he raised an eyebrow.
"I'd appreciate it," Toneri replied as he nodded, though he was still a bit confused with how quickly everything had escalated.
Kurama nodded at the Otsutsuki's words as he handed him a few scrolls to give to some important people in Konoha.
"I guess that would be all I have to explain to you" - Kurama said as he looked at the Otsutsuki and tossed him one last scroll - "With this, you can contact me whenever you want, use it if you need something important like money or some advice."
"Thank you very much" - Toneri replied with a small smile. He never thought he would receive so much help from the Uzumaki clan, more so with the strange situation between the two.
Kurama quickly created a clone and used the Hiraishin to transport his guest to the entrance of Konoha while the original one was thinking.
"That was sweet of you, Kurama-kun" - Hinata said with a smile.
"No, I just did what I had to do" - Kurama replied calmly while shaking his head - "From what I could see, he's not a bad guy, it's just that the moon situation made him become someone different, although seeing how quickly he adapted to his situation, it's obvious that he has a good head on his shoulders."
"Do you think he'll achieve happiness?" - Hinata asked as she sat on her beloved's legs and wrapped her arms around his neck.
"It all depends on him" - replied Kurama as he shook his head - "If he wants to be happy, then he will find a way to achieve it..."
"You're right..." - Hinata nodded - "It doesn't matter how much we help someone because as long as he or she doesn't try something on his or her part, things won't change at all..."
* * * * *
"Welcome to Konoha" - said Kurama's clone as the two appeared in front of the huge gates of the village hidden in the leaves.
". . ." - Toneri was surprised to see how alive the place was thanks to the huge trees surrounding the village - "Thank you for bringing me here."
"As I said, you don't have to thank me" - Kurama replied as he spoke to the two guards who were working as gatekeepers.
"Konoha..." - Toneri muttered as he looked around the surroundings, only to widen his eyes in surprise when he noticed how a small group was leaving the village - "!"
Toneri couldn't help but notice one of the girls that were in the group. She was a bit older than him, possibly around 18-19 years old, with light brown hair and pearly eyes that made it clear that she was a member of the Hyuga clan.
The girl noticed that someone was watching her and looked in the direction of the eyes that were following her, only to notice the boy with light blue hair and pearly eyes.
That was how Toneri's life in Konoha began. Without realizing it, he had started his road to his happiness.
