Hecathe leisurely nodded as he continued tying the mutants together. If someone were to see this, they would certainly think that the man was tying up nothing more than a few bundles of flowers together. He really looked that calm and casual about it.
In the next few minutes, Hecathe had managed to tie up a lot of alive mutants and Kelly had also managed to slay a lot of them while Raven became the only one who was yet to do anything.
Since Lele and Haze had already chosen to run away, Hecathe was the least bit bothered to know if they were still alive or not.
"One minute left!" Kelly once again announced as she stopped being as aggressive as she previously was with the mutants.
Hecathe sighed and clapped his hand as he stood up from his place, getting ready to leave this place as soon as that one minute was over.
Even though the entire cave was dark, from the noises that could be heard, Hecathe knew what everyone was doing.
There was only a minute left so it was only natural that everyone was thinking about wrapping it up as soon as possible, however, shockingly enough, when Kelly announced that they had only a minute left on their hands, Raven finally decided to act.
He had not moved an inch previously and simply stood there like a log of wood till now but suddenly, after hearing Kelly's words, he decided that it was finally his turn to catch some mutants.
Even in the dark, Hecathe's face cringed up as he heard the man chuckling as he cracked his bones on purpose while stretching.
Are you some kind of overpowered protagonist who only attacks in the last moment possible to overperform everyone else and shine as the genius in the end?!
"Let's get to work then," The man muttered under his breath as he suddenly took something that was hidden on his back, tightly wrapped in a dark piece of cloth.
Hecathe had certainly noticed the wrapped cloth hanging on the man's back before but he never cared to see what it was since he was the least bit interested in it.
Kelly also stopped as she snapped her head to observe the man's actions.
Raven didn't waste even a second as he instantly unwrapped the hidden weapon that let out a small golden glow that blinded everyone for a mere few seconds.
"..." Hecathe was speechless as he wondered if this man really was the protagonist or something.
The weapon was a long double-bladed sword... No, it was in fact not a sword but a sabre! A double-bladed sabre that was rather huge.
Raven had a proud smirk on his face as he spun the double-bladed sabre and when the speed of the spin started rising, the blade started glowing even more.
The sudden light was so blinding that Kelly and Hecathe had a hard time looking directly at it and had to hold up their hands in front of their face to block off some of the light.
Raven spun the sword and moved forward to ruthlessly cut all the mutants in front of him in half. As Hecathe caught a glimpse of this ruthless fight, he couldn't help but feel that this was not a fight but was a one-sided annihilation instead.
At this point, it was clear that Raven was certainly not just an ordinary hunter.
Hecathe closed his eyes with a sigh as he waited for the man's overpowered show of power to be over.
At the end of the day, maybe it was a good thing that such a man was in his team cause with him here, he would certainly catch all the attention and nobody would question how Hecathe managed to catch so many alive mutants.
This was certainly for the best.
One minute was over soon enough and they returned back to the guild as Kelly snapped her fingers.
Hecathe looked down at all the mutants he had tied up in the dark and he felt a little delighted to see that the number looked sufficient enough.
"Whoa!~ So many...!" Kelly exclaimed and Hecathe thought the woman was talking about the mutants caught by Raven so he looked over to see that in the last minute, the man had killed over a whole mound of mutants.
"Hmm..." Hecathe's eyes widened ever so slightly as he looked at the dead mutants that couldn't even be counted with his fingers. His eyes cautiously trailed towards the double-bladed sabre that the man was wrapping up with the black cloth that he had previously taken off, "You were certainly impressive. That's a lot."
Raven looked to be a little surprised as he turned to face Hecathe and gave a small smile with a nod.
"You lied, didn't you?!" Kelly questioned and Hecathe once again thought the woman was talking to Raven so he simply turned away and crouched down to poke the mutants that he had caught.
"Hecathe, when did you manage to catch so many?" Kelly walked over towards the man as she questioned in awe.
"Eh?" Hecathe blinked in surprise as he looked up at the woman whose eyes seemed to be shining in delight, "You were talking to me?"
"Of course, I was!" Kelly exclaimed immediately.
"But Raven was much more impressive here, don't you think?" Hecathe gulped as he tried to divert the attention towards Raven, "I can't even count how many he killed within that one minute."
Kelly didn't look to be pleased as she heard this, "You're right. He killed a lot but you caught them all alive. Catching one mutant alive is much more difficult than killing an army of one thousand mutants!"
"Ah..." Hecathe muttered as he realized that maybe he had overdone it without meaning to.
He had certainly held himself back in order to not seem too flashy but it seemed that it was still a fail.
At the end of the day, it wasn't Raven who came out as the genius that over shined everyone else, but it was Hecathe instead who caught the spotlight.
