Chapter 119 - Dogsh*t Handwriting

At first, Hecathe thought it was a joke but once they stood inside Kelly's office and Marvin opened his mouth to speak, Hecathe realized that the boy had not been joking.

"Miss Kelly, you look ravishing today," Marvin kneeled down on his one leg and spoke with his right hand over his left chest.

Hecathe and Kelly both had the same reaction to this boy and it was a mixture of shock and speechlessness.

Kelly took a whole minute to process the words through her brain before her eyes narrowed down on the boy and she questioned suspiciously, "What the hell did you do?"

Marvin chuckled as he heard this and Hecathe had the urge to facepalm himself.

"What are you talking about?" Marvin acted oblivious as he questioned, tilting his head with an innocent smile on his face, "I was just mesmerized by your beauty and coldness."

Kelly closed her eyes and gritted her teeth as she heard this. In the very next moment, the room really did drop a few celsius and turned cooler, almost making Hecathe think that angering this woman worked better than modern-day air conditioners.

"Don't try to test my patience," Kelly gritted out in a low volume, "Did you finish the task I gave you?"

Marvin scratched the back of his neck as he heard this question and stood up from the ground as he awkwardly tried to explain himself, "You see, I indeed went out to check those people but they all said the same thing."

The boy was lying but Hecathe immediately understood that Marvin was playing along with Hecathe's plan.

"It was so ridiculous that it wasn't even worth noting down," Marvin sighed as he added with a sense of disappointment in his voice and expression.

"The same thing?" Kelly questioned and her eyebrows drew together, forming soft creases on her forehead.

Marvin gulped as he immediately nodded his head and answered, "That's right. They kept talking nonsense. Every one of them!"

"What did they say?"

"Something about seeing the great Orgon return in the body of a teenager," Marvin shrugged his shoulder as he stated in a casual manner, and at the moment, Hecathe had to agree that Marvin was a whole lot better actor than him.

The boy was such a good liar that even Hecathe wondered if this was something that had actually happened or not.

"Brother Hecathe went to check out the others since we had distributed our work so I thought that he might have gotten different answers but turns out that he also got the same bullsh*t handed to him."

Kelly looked between the two as she heard this and the suspicion on her face slowly faded away as she eventually came to believe Marvin's words.

Hecathe sighed as he placed the file down on the table and spoke up, "He's right. I also got the same ridiculous answer, but I still noted them down just in case."

Kelly immediately picked up the file and opened it to read the info that was written down by Hecathe and as soon as she saw the first page, her face seemed to have turned white.

Hecathe thought that this reaction was caused by the info that was provided so he sighed as he commented, "It's a ridiculous story. There is no way Orgon can possess the body of a teenager like that."

Kelly looked up at Hecathe and her eyes seemed to be twitching as she shook her head, "That's not it..."

"Eh?" For a split second, there was a bit of panic in Hecathe's heart as he wondered if she had somehow seen through them.

"What the hell is this?!" The woman suddenly snapped, "Even a dog can write better than this! How am I supposed to understand any of this dogsh*t handwriting?!"

"..."

Hecathe who was suddenly scolded for his messy handwriting could say nothing in defense and he was sure that he heard Marvin snicker from the side.

Kelly slammed the file down on the table as she demanded, "Read it out! Don't expect me to read such a mess and by next time, learn how to at least make your writing look decipherable!"

Hecathe gulped as he nodded his head without daring to argue with this woman who could freeze him to death at any given moment.

The man picked up the file and opened the first page to read out the story that he had repeated over and over again under every single person's testimony, However, Hecathe closed his mouth almost as soon as he opened it.

"What is it?" Kelly questioned with a frown.

"Um..." For some reason, Hecathe found it a bit embarrassing to tell her that he was also at a loss and could not decipher what was written on the page.

Thankfully enough, he didn't need to voice it out loud as Kelly already guessed it after getting such a reaction from him.

"You can't read it, can you?" Kelly asked straightforwardly and Hecathe nodded his head softly as he confirmed it.

Marvin who was trying his best to hold in his laughter till now finally failed at controlling himself and broke out laughing in the silent cold room.

The other two stared at the boy with a blank gaze as they found nothing funny about the situation.

"Stop laughing," Kelly snapped and Marvin immediately stopped laughing, making it almost seem as if he feared the woman's anger.

"You've written it so many times, you must remember what you wrote. Just narrate according to your memory," Kelly sighed as she spoke and Hecathe nodded.

Although he couldn't decipher his own handwriting, he could still narrate the whole story word to word because he was the one who created the ridiculous story in the first place itself.

Kelly sat down in her chair with her right leg crossed over her left as she waited for the man to speak up.

"They said they came across a boy who looked odd. He was seventeen years old but had the maturity of an old man on his face. He wore a purple hunter's cape and mask in order to keep himself unidentified."

"Then how did they identify him as Orgon?"

"Because he posed as a hunter, a lot of people stayed out of his way but there were some that looked for trouble with him. Orgon had the unique power of light that is only possessed by him and his son. This fake hunter was also identified as Orgon because of this same unique power."

Kelly frowned as she heard this and questioned, "He used the power of light?"

Hecathe nodded his head before shaking it as he spoke, "Not exactly. They saw him trying to use the power of light."

"Eh?" Both Kelly and Marvin tilted their head in confusion as they heard this.

"His posture and attitude were the same as Orgon and although he used some other power, the aura of light was still there."

"That's not enough to label him as Orgon!" Kelly pointed out, "It might have just been someone else who acts like Orgon."

Hecathe nodded his head as he heard this and responded, "That might have been the case if it wasn't for him revealing his identity by mistake."

Kelly's eyes widened ever so slightly as she heard this and she waited for the man to explain further as she questioned, "What do you mean?"

"By the end of the fight, he announced his identity by mistake. He had only tried to warn them by saying that he was a person that could not be messed around with, but he let his name slip out of his tongue by mistake and since then, the rumors started to rise," Hecathe sighed as he shook his head and added, "At least, that's how everyone says the rumors started. Because there was a fight. there were a lot of witnesses and they were the ones who started talking."

"Then you are saying that the rumors are... True?" Kelly asked in disbelief and Hecathe shrugged his shoulder as a response.

"It could be true but it's so ridiculous that I can't bring myself to believe it."

Denying the rumor to be true was a tactic that Hecathe had used in order to make the woman think that it really was true, but of course, Kelly would never know this.

Marvin nodded his head once as he agreed with Hecathe and spoke up, "That's right. The story is just too ridiculous to be true. The great Orgon would never waste his time fighting with some commoners and for him to make such a mistake like leaking his identity is something even more unbelievable. He is certainly not such a clumsy thoughtless man."

Kelly gulped as she heard this and nodded as she agreed with him but the expression on her face looked to be complicated as if there was some doubt in her mind.

"Miss Kelly, a frown doesn't suit your pretty face. You shouldn't think about it much. They might just be all lying. Maybe they schemed it together," Marvin spoke with a thin smile as he tilted his head and looked at the woman.
