Chapter 150 - This Is Blackmail...!

Marvin's eyes narrowed down on Hecathe as he heard this and he opened his mouth to say something more to that but was interrupted by Hecathe who continued.

"And you owe your life to Alphius."

"..." Marvin suddenly felt as if he was being tricked, but at the same time, even though he knew that he was being tricked, he couldn't simply avoid falling for this trick.

This was emotional blackmail...! Hecathe was using Marvin's emotions against him!

Hecathe smirked as he saw the reluctance in the boy's face.

"What? Are you going to say that you have already paid back for what you did to Alphius?" Hecathe asked with an amused tone that almost sounded as if the man was trying to mock the boy.

Marvin opened his mouth to give a response but before his words could leave his mouth, he was suddenly interrupted by LeiLei who spoke up.

"Um... I feel like I heard that wrong..."

Hecathe and Marvin turned to look at the girl in confusion and it took them a minute to realize that Hecathe had once again said something that he shouldn't have.

LeiLei's eyebrows creased together in confusion and worry as she looked at Marvin, "Did he just say that you owe something to Alphius...? Like, the real Alphius? The Great Leader of the mecha-suits...?!"

Marvin gulped as he heard this question and immediately turned to Hecathe for help.

It was Hecathe's tongue that had slipped so he naturally needed to take responsibility for it.

Hecathe coughed as he shook his head and forced himself to chuckle dryly as he spoke, "You must have heard it wrong."

LeiLei frowned, "Then what were you really saying?"

Hecathe was not that good of a liar, to begin with, so when the girl suddenly asked this question, the man was a bit taken back and couldn't respond soon enough.

Marvin, "We were just talking about another guy. You know the friend that I told you about? The one that died?"

LeiLei nodded her head as she heard this and asked, "What was his name?"

Marvin sighed as he answered without missing a beat, "He was called Alpias."

"..."

'Alpias' was certainly the best name that Marvin could make up with on the spot, but the name sounded so ridiculous that the girl found it hard to believe that this was really the boy's name.

Hecathe chuckled awkwardly as he nodded his head and backed Marvin's words, "That's right. You must have heard it wrong. I said he owed it to Alpias, not Alphius."

LeiLei pursed her lips into a thin line as she heard this but although the girl was still not trusting the two, she didn't bother pondering over this topic more.

"In any case," Hecathe cleared his throat as he took the chance to change the topic once again in order to bring it back to the path that it had originally deviated from, "Marvin, you owe it to Alpias so you must help me."

Marvin wanted to curse the man out as he heard this but he didn't dare to act that impulsively.

LeiLei suddenly raised her hand as she heard this and it looked as if the girl had an idea.

"What is it?" Hecathe asked as he looked at the girl.

"Sir, wouldn't there be another easy solution?"

"Eh?" Hecathe tilted his head in confusion and simply waited for the girl to continue.

"Sir, didn't you spread the rumor about the great Orgon? The boy in the rumor was supposed to be you, wasn't it?" LeiLei asked but it seemed as if she didn't need to know the answer since she was already sure of this and so, she continued without waiting for a response, "If you want the mecha-suits to think that the three willows of spring are the one's behind this then you can just say that you came here under their instruction."

Hecathe blinked a few times as he heard this and although he was a bit confused in the beginning, he eventually started to feel as if the girl made sense.

"The great Orgon used to work for the three willows of spring so I don't think it would be hard to make the people believe that his death was nothing more than a trap for the mecha-suits. Since the rumors have already made it well known that Orgon is still alive, it would be easier for them to believe that Orgon was given a secret mission."

Hecathe gulped as he heard this and his eyes slowly widened as he realized that there was truly another way that was much more effective and useful for him.

LeiLei had also thought up a plan but her plan was still much different from what Hecathe had in mind.

When the man heard the girl, he immediately got a bit inspired and came up with a new plan.

Ocasia was supposed to be a city that was not ruled by the three willows of spring nor was it ruled by the mecha-suits. It was the only city that still followed the old government system which was safeguarded by the guilds.

The mecha-suits were naturally not interested in taking over this place, however, this was the only place on the ground that they were allowed to freely roam without having any worries and they certainly didn't want this place to also be under the three willows of spring.

If the mecha-suits came to know that the three willows of spring were secretly trying to overtake the city, they would most probably retaliate and do everything they could to stop the three willows of spring.

The real Orgon used to work for the three willows of spring but he was most probably killed by one of them as well. However, the man and his legend still lived in the minds of the people because of the rumors.

If Hecathe could somehow get the mecha-suits to believe that this was all a part of the plan that the three willows of spring had carefully made, they would surely not be happy.

This was a plan that was inspired by LeiLei's idea to use Hecathe's identity as the fake Orgon.

All he needed to do was get people to believe that he was the true Orgon who had been sent here in a secret mission by the three willows of spring in order to overtake the city. If he could simply make people believe this lie, the rest would just fall into place and the story would twist itself into a mess that Hecathe would enjoy not needing to solve.

It was a great plan theoretically, but whether Hecathe could manage to make it happen or not was something that was still not discussed.

"Hecathe, you have that psychopathic look on your face again," Marvin muttered with a frown as his face cringed up in disgust, "I don't like it at all."

Hecathe chuckled dryly as he heard this and responded with a bit of playfulness, "Are you sure you don't like it? Cause I'm pretty sure that you would like this plan better."

Marvin's frown deepened as he heard this and he looked to be even more suspicious.

For some reason, he felt even more uneasy because every time Hecathe said it was a better idea, it would always be an even worse idea.

Marvin didn't say anything straightforwardly but his facial expressions and silence simply spoke for itself and Hecathe couldn't help but smile as he saw the boy being so unsure and suspicious of him.

"Alright," Hecathe clapped his hands as he spoke, "I'm now going to be trying to take over the city."

Marvin and LeiLei both seemed to be stunned as they heard this. They blinked in confusion before repeating the man's words in their head just to make sure whether they had heard it right or not and when they were sure that they had heard it right, they looked at each other as if trying to check whether the other was also just as shocked.

"Sir..." LeiLei muttered in disbelief as she pointed out, "I think you misunderstood my idea."

Hecathe shook his head with a smile as he responded with an oddly delighted tone, "I didn't misunderstand anything. Thank you for inspiring me."

"..."

To say that the girl was left speechless would be an understatement.

"You want to spread another rumor?" It was Marvin who questioned this time and his eyes seemed to twitch as he did.

Hecathe once again shook his head as he spoke up, "If I keep spreading rumors like this, people would start to get suspicious. Compared to the word of mouth, is it not more believable to see something happen right in front of your eyes?"

Marvin's eyebrows creased together as he heard this and he had a bad feeling about it.

"So what are you going to do first?" LeiLei asked cautiously as she looked at the man.

"LeiLei, did you know that the guilds are the ones ruling this place?" Instead of giving a straight response, Hecathe asked back a question.

LeiLei nodded her head, "I know."
