Chapter 192 - The Youngest Willow Of Spring

Suddenly somebody raised their hand and stopped the execution for a moment.

When Hecathe looked up, he found that it was one of the willows.

The little girl looked exactly as she did when Hecathe had first seen her. She was wearing a cloak that covered her entire body and half of her face.

The only thing visible clearly was her soft pink lips.

Hecathe had read about the three willows of spring and that was perhaps the only reason why he knew her name.

This girl was called Lara and she was the youngest willow of spring.

"Unfortunately enough, Marvin refused to come today. I hope our dear Alphius would not be too depressed by it," Lara spoke with a tone that sounded a bit too smooth and flattering.

Although Hecathe did not have any interest in listening to her words, he couldn't help but feel a little fortunate that this girl was indirectly buying some time for him.

After waiting for more than half an hour, LeiLei and Marvin were finally able to spot the man that had been sent by Asgarian.

LeiLei, "Let's get him there."

Marvin nodded his head as he heard this and got ready to capture the man, but somebody else seemed to have caught his eyes.

Marvin's eyebrows creased together and he looked at a man who looked to be familiar, and at the same time, it also looked as if he had a hard time remembering him.

It was as if this man was present in his memories, but he had somehow lost those memories.

"Marvin, what are you doing?" LeiLei questioned with a frown as she looked at the man in disbelief.

"Just..." Marvin was distracted and couldn't help but mutter absent-mindedly, "Who is that...?"

LeiLei followed Marvin's gaze and looked at the man who Marvin was talking about.

Although she could recognize him, she gulped as she shook her head and spoke, "Let's just go. We don't have much time."

Marvin's frown deepened as he heard this and he was about to leave but after just two steps, he stopped as his expression got even more ugly and he recalled the memory that seemed to have been buried in the back of his mind.

This man... He was the new owner of LeiLei's old house.

When they were leaving the mansion, Marvin had managed to catch a glimpse of this man who was standing by the window, looking at them.

"Marvin, let's go!" LeiLei snapped as she started getting impatient and Marvin gulped as he suddenly felt as if he had something to do.

"LeiLei, go ahead first. I'll follow after you in a bit. I have something to do." Marvin spoke and before LeiLei could give a response to him, the boy had already turned and ran away.

Marvin ran downstairs and because he owned a small share of this auction house, the guards and workers didn't stop him at all.

He went straight for the man that he remembered and abruptly grabbed his shoulder as he spoke, "You! We have something to talk about, don't we?"

Oddly enough, the man didn't look to be shocked in the least, in fact, he smirked as he turned to look at Marvin and asked with an amused tone, "How may I help you?"

"Who are you?" Marvin asked as he glared at the man.

"I believe I already told your friend the answer to that," The man tilted his head as he responded calmly, "My name is Psion."

Marvin shook his head with a frown, "I'm not asking your name."

"Hmm?" Psion looked to be a bit surprised as he heard this and his smirk had changed into a small smile as he asked, "Then what do you mean?"

"At first I thought you could only read our minds and do petty illusion tricks, but that is not what happened the last time, was it? You controlled our minds completely and made us do things which were later erased from our memories," Marvin stated firmly as his eyes narrowed down on the man, "And we all know who is known for having such an ability."

Psion chuckled in amusement as he heard this but said nothing.

"So who are you to her?" Marvin asked as he gritted his teeth.

"You noticed?" The man tilted his head as he acted innocent and spoke, "It's not like I ever tried to hide anything from you nor did I lie to you guys. So don't look at me like that."

Marvin frowned as he heard this but didn't stop glaring at the man.

"As for your suspicion..." The man sighed as he continued, "You are right. I am related to her."

Marvin immediately gulped as he heard this and although he had already guessed it, he was still shocked to hear this.

"However, I think there has been a misunderstanding."

"What type of misunderstanding?" Marvin questioned fiercely without missing a beat.

"I cannot read minds nor can I control them. In fact, I'm a person who does not possess any abilities," The man shrugged his shoulders as he revealed and Marvin's eyebrows creased together in confusion.

"What the hell are you talking about...?!"

"As I've said, I have no such abilities. I am nothing more than a runaway who used to once be a mecha-suit."

Marvin grabbed the man's collar threateningly, "How can that be? Then explain to me what was up with that weird illusion and that mind controlling bullsh*t!"

"That was not me," The man spoke with a thin smile and it didn't look like he was lying, "I was merely a pawn who was meant for show."

"Then... It was her...?"

Disbelief could clearly be seen on Marvin's face and Psion nodded his head as he unhesitantly confirmed it.

"Damn it," Marvin let go of the man's collar and cursed under his breath as he immediately turned around and got ready to leave.

However, after just a step, he turned around once again and grabbed the man's wrist as he spoke, "You're coming with me. Since you have nothing to hide, I hope you'll be honest enough to reveal the truth in front of everyone."

Psion was a bit taken back by this sudden action but he still let out a small chuckle and nodded his head as he agreed to go with the boy.

LeiLei had already captured the man sent by Asgarian and was patiently waiting for Marvin to return.

When she saw the man that Marvin had brought along, her eyes widened in shock as she snapped, "Why are you bringing him with you...?!"

"There is something that must be cleared," Marvin spoke firmly and although LeiLei had no idea what was going on, she didn't dare question him about it.

With the use of LeiLei's power, the four of them were immediately transported to Zeblor where Hecathe's grand execution was taking place.

It was crowded and noisy but Marvin and LeiLei didn't show themselves just yet. Instead, they blended in with the crowd and waited.

On the execution stage, Hecathe looked to be chuckling as he spoke, "Miss Lara, you worry too much about a person who is already sentenced to his death."

Lara also chuckled as she heard this, "Is that so? I guess it can't be helped. You are still too young. It's really a pity."

"..." Hecathe wanted to point out that the person who had said this was clearly much younger than him, but he managed to control himself and stayed quiet.

"However, there is something that I want to ask you. Alphius, weren't you confident when you entered Zeblor and challenged our authority? You went as far as to say that we were purposefully hiding the real killer," Her tone made it seem as if she was mocking him, but at the same time, it also sounded serious which confused Hecathe a little.

Hecathe gulped as he tried to maintain his outward composure and wondered what this girl was planning.

Was she here to mock him or was she really just acting out of curiosity...?

Suddenly, Hecathe was reminded of what Psion had told him and he couldn't help but feel a little uncomfortable.

If the three willows of spring were really acting together then there was no way this girl would speak up and delay the execution, but this could also be a trap and hence he couldn't trust her either.

"So I'll give you a chance," Lara spoke up with a warm smile that looked to be rather innocent, "You can speak and let us know what you think about Captain Orgon's death. If you can prove to me that there is another killer who has framed you, We'll let you go."

Hecathe blinked in confusion as he heard this.

This... Felt as if it was too good to be true.

"Miss Lara, what if I do prove my innocence? You have already defamed me so how are you going to make up for it?"

Lara's smile deepened a little as she heard this, "You don't have to worry about that."
