Chapter 3 - Three: Navaya Cole

Becca always woke up bright and early in the morning but today was an expectation as she still wanted to sleep a little longer because she hadn't gotten enough last night. She sluggishly forced her back off the bed and sat up straight. She rubbed her sleepy eye with her hands and let out a yawn.

Turning to the clock to check what time was, her eyes immediately shot open when she saw it. It was a quarter past nine and she was still in bed. She immediately kicked her twenty-three years old self out of bed and sprinted into the bathroom to take a quick shower because she was already late for work.

Becca Ramus owned an advertisement company that makes adverts, commercials, and magazines for other company brands and people.

She had worked with a lot of famous people ranging from businessmen, actors, models, to even politicians. Her company, Atlas, had helped promote a lot of company products and even got involved in political campaigns and Becca couldn't be more proud of her accomplishments.

Owning her very own business has always been a big dream of hers. So right after she graduated college, she went ahead to start up her own company in New York City without any help from the influence of the Ramus name.

The bathroom door opened and she stepped out dripping wet with a towel tied around her chest. She walked to her closet and picked out a pretty blue dress that stops just above her knee and applied some light makeup. Picking up her handbag and car keys, she left to work which she was already horribly late for.

A blue Lamborghini rolled into Atlas premises and parked in a free parking space in the garage. Becca stepped out of the car, wearing a beautiful blue dress that matched the color of the car. As it seemed she had a thing for the color blue.

She stepped into her company's building and was warmly greeted by her employees, who bowed their heads down in greeting as they stood up from their seats with warm smiles on their faces.

She nodded in response and gestured them to take back their seat, then walked over to the elevator which took her to the top floor, where her office was at. After unlocking the door to her office, she stepped inside and slumped her body on the expensive leather couch. She had her back on the couch, facing up, her eyes scanned the entire room. it was a very large space-occupying more than two-thirds of the entire top floor. The office's decor was exquisite and right behind the expensive ebony desk was an enormous window that gave a magnificent view of the city.

The room walls were painted grey and had a touch of different colors except for pink because she wasn't a fan of pink. It wasn't like she hated the color, no, nothing like that. The color was just too girly, even for her. She preferred darker colors to brighter ones. There were two other doors in the room asides from the one at the entrance, with one leading to a beautiful and clean marble tiled bathroom which had a large wall mirror next to a fancy-looking sink.

While the other door led to a medium-sized bedroom, not as big as the one in her apartment but just big enough. it had a big ass bed that could fit four people comfortably and a 38inch flat-screen TV mounted on the wall, the same as the one in the office. She was now staring at her laptop lost in thought that she didn't even notice the sound of her door opening and a beautiful brown-skinned woman with a nice sexy curved body that walked in.

Navaya Cole, who was Becca's best friend since high school and also the vice president of Atlas shook her head when she saw her friend was daydreaming again. She had come to tell Becca some important news but instead stood there watching her friend mindlessly staring at her blank laptop screen like she was watching something very interesting on it. Navaya took quite steps to where Becca sat and brought her face to Becca's ear then whispered into it.

" what are you thinking about?" she asked in her ear, making Becca jerk back to reality.. Becca's eyes went wide with surprise and looked startled while Navaya just laughed at her reaction.
