Chapter 29 - Twenty Eight: Shameless

The stewardess from earlier came back with two bottles of water and handed it to them.

" Thank you," Becca said to her while Leo kept playing with her hair, again ignoring the stewardess's attempts to flirt with him.

" Sir, your bottle of Champagne has been put on ice. Would you like it to be brought over to you now?" She asked with a big smile, showing off her perfect teeth. Turning to Leo, Becca saw he had a teasing smile on his face and instantly felt like smacking him with her shoe but she knew better than to do that.

Again, she didn't want to disappear!

She shook her head at Leo, telling him to say no but his smile only widened.

He was grinning like a diabolical villain and this had Becca feeling very scared.

Scared of the things he was cooking up in that shameless mind of his but also a little thrilled that it was her he thinking of doing them to.

Wait, what?! That made absolutely no sense. She shouldn't be thrilled or even happy. No, she should be heavily offended that he was being shameless with her, that to on a plane. Like talk about being rude. She was supposed to be angry right now but how could she when the shameless man was as hot as Leo Kane.

" No, maybe later." He dismissed the stewardess and Becca heaved a sigh of relief. With the stewardess gone, Leo continued assaulting Becca's hair and invading her personal space while Becca sat there cursing her fate.

Her mind was a mess, not able to think straight and it was all his fault. She blamed him for her inability to think straight.

Why would the universe dump a Greek god who stood above six feet, had dark blue eyes, and a jawline that could cut through glass next to her? So she would do what him? Play chess?

Hell no!

This was very disrespectful to her. His beauty was disrespecting her in more ways than she knew and here he was playing with her hair like it was the hottest new toy. The fine ass motherfucker couldn't even behave himself! 'why is my life so awkward?' She cried to the heavens.

" Your hair is really beautiful." Leo drawled with his Italian accent that sounded as perfect as him. " so soft." he hummed and Becca blinked twice.

" Yours too." Becca politely replied, seeing him looking at her hair like it was the most fascinating thing he had ever seen in his life. Running his hands through it and curling it around his finger with a fond smile on his face.

Normally Becca would have felt very uncomfortable if someone did this to her but oddly enough, seeing him like this, him doing it was somewhat soothing. Relaxing. It made her feel warm and fuzzy inside.

" How would you know when you have never touched it before?" He asked with a slightly sullen face which made Becca smile. He was acting like an attention-deprived baby and it made him look cute. Becca then looked at his hair, as dark as night and the longer she stared at it, the more she felt the urge to run her fingers through it.

When Leo noticed Becca's stares, he leaned his head closer to her.

" You can touch it if you like." He said to her. A smile stretched Becca's lips and her eyes shone like they were made of stars.

" May I?" Becca asked and he nodded.

Well, at least she asked first, unlike him who didn't seem to need any permission whatsoever.

Becca slowly lifted her hand to his hair and ran her slender fingers through it. His hair felt silky and thick under her touch and it kinda made her wanna ask what products he used.

" It feels well kept." She said referring to his hair as she kept running her fingers freely through and messing it up in the process but Leo didn't seem to mind. All he could think of was the smiling woman touching his hair and how his face hurt from smiling so damn much.

He hadn't smiled this much in years and it was all because of Becca. She was like a smiling vitamin that could bring a smile to his face even with his gloominess at its full glory.

" I know." Came to his response and she narrowed her eyes at him.

" Cocky" She retorted, not forgetting to roll her eyes at him.

" So I've heard." He responded and she pushed his head away. She folded her arms over her chest and shot him a glare so lethal it could kill an entire village but it only amused Leo even more. She was acting like a grumpy kitten that wanted to scratch him with her claws.

" Are you always this...." She started but trailed off, struggling to complete her question. She didn't want to say anything rude or offensive to him and was trying to properly select her words but this abnormally handsome creature wouldn't let her focus. Aside from his name, she barely knew anything about him but here he was, acting like they had known each other for years.

Just look at him, flaunting his good looks everywhere.

How disrespectful!

" Handsome?" He asked and she shook her head. Yeah, handsome was right but not what she was going for.

" Friendly" She finally found a suitable word but deep down she wanted to say touchy, clingy, brazen and so many more adjectives.

" You don't like me being friendly?" He asked leaning on her shoulder. He gave her the puppy dog eyes, trying to act all cute which he failed horribly at and ended up looking dangerously sexy instead.

It wasn't his fault. Being cute wasn't his thing, killing was.

Becca glanced at the man casually leaning his head on her shoulder like he owned it and snorted. Becca cursed the seats of the plane for being so close to each other. Now because of this, Leo could comfortably lean on her without even spraining his neck.

' God, where are my heels when I need them?' She silently asked herself, casting her eyes to the ceiling, and sighed.

" It's not that... It's just... How do I put this..? Uhmm, we barely know each other and in the time we have been on this plane together, you have done nothing but come close to me. You are even playing with my hair like it's the hottest new toy." Becca said, hoping he would back up a little. She wanted to get offended by him touching her without permission but couldn't.

He was messing up her head without even doing anything and it was starting to piss her off.

" Then what thing of yours do you prefer I play with?" He asked, not moving an inch from his spot. The question itself seemed innocent but the way he said it and the look he was giving her while saying it wasn't.

Talk about invasion of personal space.

Licking his lips, Leo whispered in Becca's ear. " I don't know why you are complaining, you seemed to like me just fine at the party."

Their faces were just centimeters away from each other and he was having the time of his life watching her eyes widen to the size of basketballs.

Her cheeks became hot, burning in fact and she didn't need a mirror to know she ready looked as red as a ripe tomato. This man was doing this on purpose and he was enjoying it, the cocky smirk on his face proved it.

Doesn't this guy have anything else to do other than being shameless with her?

" So you remember, huh? Look, you're blushing." He chuckled, pointing at her flush red face. " It's good you remembered because I for one haven't been able to get it out of my mind."

The shameless man strikes again.

Becca turned away from him completely to look at the window. Anything not to look at him. She started taking calming breaths to cool down her heated face as she was sure she had smoke coming out of her ear from how hot her face was.

Jumping out of the plane was starting to look like a very tempting idea to her now.

" I don't know what you are talking about." She denied, still looking out the window. She didn't want to look at the grinning man next to her.

Yes, she knew he was grinning even without looking at him. She could feel him grinning.

To ignore him even more, Becca uncapped her water bottle and started drinking from it.

" What a shame, I really thought you would remember." Leo said with a sulky voice and sullen face but his face quickly brighten up before saying; " Oh well, looks like we will have to redo the whole thing again. You know, to jog your memory." He shamelessly said, causing Becca to choke. She started coughing franticly and Leo's big hand went behind her back, patting her. When she finally stopped coughing, she heard him speak again.

" You really shouldn't be choking on the water when there are far better things to choke on. For example--" No, she couldn't take it anymore.

She felt attacked and her cheeks hurt so much from blushing. Doesn't he think of anything else?

Why was he so perverted?

Damnit! Leo Kane or not, she was gonna push someone's son off a plane.

" Okay, you win! You were right, I did remember what happened. Please just don't complete that sentence." She clasps her hands together, begging him to stop and the smile on his face widened, probably celebrating his little victory over her.

So that was his plan all along, huh? To get her to admit she remembered? That perverted snake!

How Becca wished she didn't remember. How did he even know? Was she being obvious about it or was it just a wild guess?

" Little girls nowadays have such dirty minds and Yes, I knew you remembered from the start. It was just fun to poke it out of you." He wrapped his hands around her shoulders and shifted her closer to him. He had a friendly yet contagious smile on his face and Becca couldn't help smiling back. That smile made him look so calm and harmless but that mouth of his wasn't.

After a while of sitting very close to him, she still felt his arms around her shoulders and instantly landed a smack on his chest for him to let her go.

" Ouch! I'm sensitive there." He whined. " How would you feel if I slapped your chest?" He asked, faking being in pain when her attack didn't even hurt and his gaze then dropped down to her chest, smirking.

That rich perverted bastard! Was he always like this with everyone? He didn't even know her and.... and... Geez, so rude!

He was by far the bluntest person she had ever met and only second to her stepmother in that aspect.

Becca couldn't believe she would be stuck with him throughout the flight. She didn't know if her cheeks and sanity could take it.

" You deserved it. Now be quiet and leave me alone." She shooed him away but instead of leaving her alone, he adjusted her seat backward so she could be more comfortable in it, taking her by surprise in the process then he did the same for his. They laid still, facing each other and Leo couldn't help admiring her beauty as he stared at her. It looked like he was trying to memorize all her facial features with his gaze that was nothing but intense, hot. Piercing, like it was drilling holes through her.

" You are gorgeous." He drawled with that accent of his, emphasizing the word 'gorgeous' in his sentence which made blood rush to Becca's face.

" Are you always like this?" Becca asked, covering her face from his shameless eyes and he chuckled at her cute actions.

She looked so cute when she was acting shy.

" What? Honest?" He asked, looking all innocent when they both knew he wasn't.

" Too honest if you ask me." She answered and he moved closer to her with that contagious as fuck smile still on his face.

" Move back to your side, you are in my space," Becca complained but he didn't budge. He didn't even move back an inch and he just laid there staring at her.

" But I want to be here, with you." He said and she frowned.

Annoying, that was what he was. If he wasn't so influential and handsome, she would have kicked him in the face by now.

" Well, I don't want to be with you." She huffed, glaring at his head. She had always heard about Leonardo Kane being a ruthless man who had quite the temper. She heard that he was a person who knew nothing but work, work, and work. There was nothing about being a Playboy mentioned and she honestly felt misinformed because a few weeks ago, all she thought about was how she would leave a good impression on Leo Kane. And at least establish a professional relationship with him. You know, business friends. But looks like he had something else in mind. He had given her plans a 360 degree turn when he started hitting on her on that damned plane.

No, wait! It was right from the time he kissed her without permission. Rogue.

From glaring, Becca didn't even know when she dozed off and the next thing she felt was Leo gently tapping her to wake up.

" Becca, wake up," Leo said, tapping gently on her back.

" Hmmm, first you behave perverted with me and now you won't let me sleep." She complained with a sleepy voice, slightly stretching her arms.

" The plane is about to land." He said, ignoring her comment. She sat up straight, rubbing her eyes with her hands, and yawned.

" Finally." She muttered under her breath, feeling relieved as she had been praying for this moment for a while now.

" You want to leave so soon? You're acting like you didn't enjoy our time together." He said and she rolled her eyes.

'I would have enjoyed it if you weren't making my cheeks hurt with your brazen words ' She said internally, fastening her seatbelt again.

Leo glanced at Becca and smiled, feeling thankful to see that she was no longer nervous and awkward around him anymore.
