Chapter 51 - Fifty: Ace's Black Card

That night, Navaya made sure to buy all the things she would ever need in her life. She spent so much money on nonsense that she almost exhausted the credit card.

At first, Becca was against the idea but later rolled with the flow because she knew it was Navaya's way of getting revenge on Ace for the betrayal. Becca let her enjoy herself, besides it wasn't every day a girl got to spend so lavishly and buy useless things with money that wasn't even hers.

And though Becca's blood boiled when she thought of Ace, she still couldn't help feeling sorry for the guy because with all the things Navaya was doing to his bank account, he might even become broke by tomorrow morning.

After coming out from the casino where Navaya gambled her heart out, not caring whether she won or lost, but still kept placing high bets, they went to a car dealer's shop to buy a new car. Navaya told the guy that owned the place that she was feeling extremely generous that night and wanted to buy the most expensive car he had in stock and she would be willing to pay any price.

That news obviously made the dealer very happy and he hurriedly showed Navaya the most expensive car he had in his shop and without even discussing a reasonable price with him, Navaya instantly gave guy Ace's black card to deduct the money from.

Once they bought the car, Navaya went ahead to go shopping and bought pieces of jewelry, lots of them. Diamond wristwatches, necklaces, and rings, even though she didn't like wearing rings.

The girl was indeed an evil villain.

After ordering a new king-sized bed and squandering Ace's money to get back at him, Navaya decided to call it a night. She drove back home in her new Bugatti to chase out all the drunk guests from her house while Becca drove back to her apartment.

She was glad that Navaya took the news better than expected, and didn't end up crying because of that cheating asshole.

Becca got to her apartment, took out her keys, and opened the door but just as she took a step inside, she stepped on something. On noticing there was something under her shoe, Becca bent down and picked up the notecard she had stepped on.

She walked to the light switch of her living room and turned it on to illuminate the place so she could see what was written on the card and read it out loud.

' I see you had fun tonight. I miss you too, little kitten.'

Was the only thing written on the card but it was enough to bring a smile to Becca's face. She didn't even need to think at all to know who sent the note.

' Leo... He misses me.' Becca said to herself, smiling brightly both inside out. Most people, hell normal people would have been creeped out to death if they knew someone was following and monitoring their every move but Becca didn't feel that way at all. At least not when it came to Leo. On the contrary, knowing Leo was with her, watching her made her feel safe, loved. Cared for.

It was a messed up way to look at stalking but then again, wasn't Becca just as messed up.

A person who deprived herself of the happiness she badly carved. A person who still held on to the hurt and pain from the past, punishing herself for something that wasn't even her fault to begin with. Someone who surrounds her heart with tall walls of ice and pretends to be happy on the outside while deep inside, she is miserable and was also the cause of her misery.

If that wasn't called messed up, then I don't know what was.

Even to this day, Becca still didn't know how Leo was able to get past her walls so easily but it still couldn't change the fact that he did. The only one who ever could.

She missed him a lot and now knew he did too.

He both loved and missed her.

Becca walked to her bedroom with the card in her hand and placed it in one of the drawers of her nightstand. Then took off her heels and crashed herself on the bed. She stared at the ceiling, feeling as exhausted as Ace's black card, she closed her eyes and drifted off to sleep without even bothering to change her clothes.

Monday morning...

Navaya drove her new Bugatti to work with the sole purpose of showing it off. She knew that Ace had thrown a fit when he found out what she did and she couldn't have cared any less about it.

To hell with the horny bastard.

Navaya stepped into Atlas with a bright smile on her face, wearing so much bling, it was blinding the rest of the staff. Everything she wore from head to toe cost a fortune, ha! Ace's fortune.

Navaya had always been the one to dress in expensive stylish clothes and that day was no exception, the only thing different was she planned to go all out that day.

Normal people sobbed and cried their eyeballs out when they find out that their boyfriends cheated on them but not Navaya. No, she used that cheating bastard's credit card to better her wardrobe.

What was the need to cry? Besides, crying would only make her eyes hurt and definitely wouldn't teach Ace to keep his dick in his pants.

As usual, Navaya stopped by Becca's office to catch up on some morning gist session. She opened the door and stepped in but froze when she saw Becca humming a song and typing on her laptop with a big smile on her face.

Looking like she had just seen something completely out of this world, Navaya took a few steps back and went out to check if she entered the right office or if she had been teleported to a parallel universe. Once she confirmed that it was the right office and she wasn't dead, she walked back into the room with a doubtful look on her face.

Were her eyes deceiving her? Was the world coming to an end or something? Why was there a big ass smile on Becca's face? Wasn't she still sad about her breakup with Leo?

Questions flooded Navaya's brain as she kept staring at Becca as if she was a confusing movie.

' What could have possibly made her so damn happy?' Navaya asked herself and decided to move closer to the alien-looking scene in front of her.

Becca noticed Navaya standing by the door, she turned to her and saw the weird look she was giving her.

" What is it? Why are you staring at me like that?" Becca asked with the smile on her face shining brighter than the sun.

Becca indeed was extremely happy that morning for a lot of reasons, one of which was because Navaya finally broke up with her cheating boyfriend and wasn't heartbroken at all about it. The second reason was that Leo had been sending her pretty flowers all through the weekend and even sent another bouquet that morning. Now her room looked like a mini flower store filled with pretty flowers, the same as the ones he sent to her office last time.

And it got Becca thinking; Was Leo planning to woo her all over again? Was that why he had started sending flowers again?

Honestly, she didn't mind that she had to sleep on one side of her bed because the bouquets took up too much space. She also wouldn't mind if Leo wanted to start all over again with her, she would be ecstatic if he did, but if he truly missed her like he said he did then why doesn't he just come to her? Why did he ignore her calls and stayed away from her in the first place?

" It's nothing. Why are you so happy today?" Navaya walked past Becca's desk and plunged her butt on the couch.

" Do you prefer to see me crying?" Becca threw back a question to Navaya who instantly shook her head.

" Of course not, I just wanted to know what put you in such a good mood today." Navaya adjusted on the couch to find a more comfortable sitting position. " So tell me, is the smile on your face Leo Kane related?" Navaya teased, making color flood Becca's cheeks as she bit her lip and nodded.

Navaya gasped and sat up instantly. " I knew it! I told you he wasn't mad at you, do you believe me now? You know I always had faith in that guy."

" But you told me you were pissed off by Leo. You even advised me to find someone new so I could forget him." Becca raised a sassy brow at Navaya who just shrugged her shoulders, both of them now smiling like idiots.

" That was when he was ignoring you like a jackass but now he had sought redemption, he has been forgiven." Navaya giggled. " Now tell me what over the top thing he did to have you smiling that like."

It seemed Navaya's gossiping stomach hadn't been fed for a while now and was now hungry for juicy gossip.

" He didn't do much aside turning my room into a flower shop," Becca replied and instantly covered her ears so she wouldn't go deaf from Navaya's squeals of joy.

" Awww, how adorable." Navaya squealed, rushed to where Becca sat, and gave her a tight hug.

" Yeah, the flowers were really pretty. Wait, I even brought you a bouquet." Becca stood up, went to the filing cabinet, and took out the bouquet she kept in one of the empty drawers. " By the way, you look ravishing today, my beloved. Beautiful flowers for a beautiful woman such as yourself." Becca joked and handed the bouquet to Navaya who curtsied before receiving the flowers.

" Why thank you, milady. I shall forever cherish these beautiful roses for as long as I live." Navaya said, using the half-baked British accent she picked up from watching English movies and they both giggled at their silliness.

It was indeed a blessing that Becca had a friend like Navaya. Someone who always understood her and was willing to stick by her through thick and thin. Wasn't that what everyone wanted?

What everyone needed.

When they were done with their morning gist session, Navaya retreated to her office and came back again to Becca's office after a while to ask if she wanted them to have lunch together.

With the way those two were practically inseparable, of course, Becca said yes and eagerly grabbed her purse since they both agreed to eat at her favorite restaurant.

Becca walked towards her office door while Navaya followed from behind but just as she was about to reach for the doorknob, someone opened the door from the outside.

" Johnny!" Becca squealed and hugged her brother who stood by the door.

" Hey, how are things going?" Johnny asked with a charming smile on his face as he embraced his sister. His eyes then trailed to Navaya who stood behind Becca and gulped as he gaze at her gorgeousness.

Beautiful... So fucking beautiful. That was what she was.

Becca broke their hug and looked up at her brother, smiling brightly at him and Johnny had to drag his eyes off Navaya to look at Becca.

" Everything is great," Becca answered and Johnny looked at Navaya again. He couldn't help himself, her presence seemed to be calling out to every single cell in his body. His smile turned into a smirk, an innocent one but the way his eyes stared at her wasn't.

" Hello, Navaya." He drawled her name with his deep sexy voice laced with a hint of passion in it. " Long time no see."

Navaya stood there frozen at the sight of Becca's older brother, Johnathan Ramus. The only guy she had seen so far that could rival Leo Kane when it came to having good looks.

Having a face that belonged on a Roman coin, sharp bone structure, and a jawline sharper than a razor blade. A calm but sexy aura that matched his persona, definitely not devilish as Leo's. Perfect lips meant for kissing and whispering naughty things, fierce-looking blue eyes that had an out-of-this-world gleam in them but at the same time held a dangerous glint.

Four years had passed since they were last in a room together and Johnny had done nothing but become even hotter than Navaya remembered him to be. And if it hadn't been for the time he called her out of nowhere to tell her about the meeting with Leo Kane, it would have been four years as well since they last spoke to each other.

Navaya stared back at him and gulped when she saw him smirking at her, instantly reminding her of the little secret they share, the same one she desperately tried to hide from Becca in the past. She smiled back in an attempt to hide her nerves, her racing pulse, and her heart that wouldn't stop drumming in her chest. Navaya was just too shocked by his sudden appearance that she even forgot to say hello.

With a bright smile still on Becca's face, she turned to look at Navaya then at Johnny and creased her brows in confusion when she saw the way they were staring at each other. She sensed the tension in the air, not feud but something else. Something she couldn't quite put her finger on but decided to ignore it and put an end to their little staring contest. She then cleared her throat to break the thin layer of silence in the room.

" Hey Johnny, me and Navaya were just about to go grab lunch. Do you want to come along?" Becca asked, staring up at Johnny whose lips stretched into a smile, then his eyes darted to Navaya before returning to Becca.

" I would love to."
