Chapter 165 - On A Funeral

Feng Xuan twirled the blade in her hand. "Hello, husband."

He stood up straight and smoothen out his coat. "You almost sliced my face."

"Yeah," Wuming seconded. "A lot of his fangirls would cry if his face would get damaged."

Feng Xuan's eyebrow quirked up. "Fangirls?"

Qing Chen elbowed Wuming. It had been so much of a hassle to get rid of all the chocolates and food he had been receiving the past few weeks. At the end of each night, he had them sent to orphanages. He ignored the question. "You look well."

Feng Xuan looked down at herself. "Still learning," she smiled up at him.

"Are those double-edged swords?!" exclaimed Qing Lok, pushing past his brothers. "I've only seen it in games and never knew anyone who uses it." He looked like an excited kid rubbing his hands together. "May I?"

"Of course," Feng Xuan said and handed it to him. It was not really meant as an effective weapon as it may cause more damage to the wielder than the enemy, but somehow it felt right in her fingers. "Be careful."

"Can I borrow that one?" Wuming asked and Feng Xuan handed the other. "I'm going to teach that idiot before he stabs himself to death."

Feng Xuan turned to Qing Chen. "Should we get out of here?"

Qing Chen looked at his brothers at the mat with Master correcting both of their postures. "Yeah, let's get out of here."

**

The two walked out of the building in silence until they reached the stone kiosk wherein Qing Chen had visited Feng Xuan along with Feng Lizhao.

"So… it's been a month," Feng Xuan said, sitting down.

"Yeah, it has been," Qing Chen answered, settling next to her.

"Did you miss me?"

Qing Chen smiled. "Is that even a question? Of course I did."

Her eyebrows furrowed. "Then what is this 'fangirls' that Wuming mentioned? Did you suddenly become an overnight sensation?"

He shook his head. "I think the media misses you. Over the weeks they had been doing nothing but post pictures of me and captioning about a potential divorce. So with that word around, some ladies had been sending gifts to my office--"

"To win your favor."

"Something like that."

"What were they feeding you?" she looked entertained but worried. "They might've put some love potions in it."

Qing Chen stifled laughter. "I don't think such a thing exists."

"It does. I fed it to you." She said it with such a serious face that Qing Chen had to laugh. "Speaking of food, how's my little bakery going?"

"I visited it on my first day back. It's doing really good. Wang Yimin misses you so much." Qing Chen proceeded to give her a general outline with all the things that had happened in the city while she was gone. "What about you?" Qing Chen asked. "You look really strong."

"I AM strong," she grinned and jumped to her feet. She flexed her arms, "I'm getting muscular."

Qing Chen nodded. "I bet you have abs too."

Feng Xuan lifted her shirt and showed him her stomach. "What do you think?"

Qing Chen did not know why he was even surprised. "You look like you could be in a fitness ad."

Feng Xuan slapped him on the shoulder.

"What?" he asked. "I mean it. Maybe we should put you in the gym tarpaulin in the hotel."

Feng Xuan dropped back on her seat. "I actually thought you wouldn't like it. I mean, sure you would but with less enthusiam."

"Why wouldn't I like it?"

"I don't know," she shrugged. "Maybe you like your girls soft?"

"What?! If I had wanted to keep you that way, I would've kidnapped you from here and locked you in our house, completely defenseless on what's to come."

Feng Xuan's face changed immediately. "What happened with Auntie's House, by the way? Is that everything?"

Qing Chen's face scrunched. "We had done a month long investigation on it. We couldn't find anything else. But we're sure that Auntie was answering to someone else."

"It's not The Zookeeper?"

"None of the trails lead to him. When we get back tomorrow, you can have a look with everything we had. Maybe something will look familiar to you."

"I take he has not left another note then?"

"None as of today. At least, none that we know of."

Feng Xuan looked around the place. This had been her home for the past few months. She would definitely miss it but she could not deny the excitement that she was feeling in her chest now that she was going back to the city. "I can't wait to go back."

"And be in the midst of all the problems?"

She glared at him. "Come on, do not rain on my parade. I am trying to be positive here. I am feeling confident."

"You sure are," he smiled. "You excited to kill some people?"

"Only The Zookeeper." She leaned backwards. "I just can't wait to get this over with, you know? We'll take a much deserved vacation after this."

"We sure will."

Feng Xuan clasped his hand on the chair. "I'll help you with The Kingly Empire."

"Really?"

She nodded. "We're going to push them all out and then we'll own the world."

He tugged at the stray hair that escaped her ponytail. "If it were only that easy."

"It is that easy," she leaned forward to him. "We'll just have to slice a few necks."

Qing Chen chuckled. "Maybe you should take a few contracts just to get all that bloodl.u.s.t out of your system before we head back to the city. It seems to me you can end a whole country right now."

"Yeah, and your fangirls will go first."

"They're harmless. We just need a great photo together and they would all shut up. We'll have a party on New Year. We'll make it special."

"Yay, gowns and socializing," she cheered like she was on a funeral.
