87 Changing The Male Lead
Even though this scene had not started shooting yet, he was already deeply immersed in the scene just by looking at He Miao, as if he had really become the male lead who was infatuated with his beloved school belle in the script.
Xu Meng looked at his dazed expression and knew what he was thinking. She coughed and said, “Leader, there’s something I didn’t tell you. Jing Yan, He Miao’s brother, said he’ll personally pick the male lead for this drama.”
“Jing Yan?” As the head of the broadcasting station, Wang Ke was well-informed. How could he not know about the story between Jing Yan and He Miao? When he heard that Jing Yan wanted to interfere in the male lead’s affairs, he immediately stomped his feet in panic. “No, this drama is filmed by our broadcasting station alone. Even if his family is one of the shareholders of the school, they have no right to interfere.”
“But Jing Yan will be here soon.” Xu Meng waved her phone pitifully. She thought Jing Yan would not come, but she did not expect to receive a message from Jing Yan asking where the script reading was.
To be honest, compared to Wang Ke and He Miao playing the male and female leads, she preferred the male lead role to be Jing Yan’s. At least, the two of them looked very good together.
Wang Ke slammed the table in dissatisfaction. “Am I the leader or are you the leader? How could you tell an outsider about our filming?”
Xu Meng looked at him innocently. “I didn’t say it. I don’t know how he found out.”
Wang Ke was about to reprimand her, but He Miao frowned and explained on behalf of her friend, “Mengmeng didn’t tell Jing Yan about this. He must have heard it from somewhere else. ”
When Wang Ke faced He Miao, his expression softened a lot, and his voice was also very soft. “But our filming is funded by the radio station. No matter what, it’s not up to Jing Yan to make the final decision.”
“The university has the right to intervene in any competition that represents the school.” Jing Yan pushed open the door of the meeting room and looked coldly at the man who was making a ruckus beside He Miao. His eyes were full of disdain as a shareholder of the university.
Seeing that Jing Yan had really come, Wang Ke’s imposing manner subconsciously lowered. However, when he thought of He Miao, who was right beside him, he could not lose to other men in front of the girl he liked. He puffed out his chest and said, “Who allowed you to come in? This is a private matter of our broadcasting station, please leave!”
Jing Yan did not even look at him. He sat down at the head of the table and squinted at He Miao. He threw the principal’s letter on the table and said, “Take a look at it yourself. The Jing family is sponsoring this drama. As the investor, I’m announcing a change in the male lead.”
He Miao only lowered his eyes to take a glance and did not look at it in detail. She did not have any objections to whoever played the male lead.
Wang Ke, on the other hand, picked up the letter of authorization in disbelief and read it word by word. Then, he slammed it on the table and argued, “Why can’t I?”
“You?” Jing Yan raised his eyes slightly and sneered. “You think you’re worthy?”
Wang Ke’s face turned red. He was, after all, the leader of the broadcasting station in name, and all the people sitting in the conference room were members of the broadcasting station. He was embarrassed to be ridiculed by Jing Yan in front of his subordinates. He snorted coldly, slammed the door, and left the conference room.
“What about the others?” Jing Yan coldly glanced at the crowd, whose expressions were all different, and said, “I know you’re all Wang Ke’s men. If you have any objections, you can leave now.”
The people below looked at each other and finally said in unison, “Young Master Jing, you can make the decision. We have no objections.”
“How about you?” Jing Yan looked deeply at He Miao, waiting for her answer.
He Miao shook her head. “I was just trying to help Mengmeng. I don’t mind.”
Jing Yan nodded and suddenly raised his hand to knock on the table. Everyone immediately held their breath and looked at him nervously.
The man at the head of the table started to call out names expressionlessly. “Who’s the scriptwriter?”
The little girl with a ponytail sitting at the back raised her hand silently. “It’s me.”
Jing Yan narrowed his eyes dangerously. “I heard you’re going to arrange a kissing scene for my sister? Do you think I’ll allow other men to touch her?”
“I’m not,” the scriptwriter instinctively denied. Then, she saw the strange expressions on everyone’s faces and quickly changed her words. “There is, but if you have a request, I can change it.”
Jing Yan did not say anything and just looked at her coldly.
The scriptwriter was stunned for a moment before she suddenly blurted out, “If you’re the male lead, I’d love to see you and He Miao kiss.”
