112 Do Not Bring Outsiders
Xu Meng smiled shyly. “Class rep, how was my dance?”
“Very beautiful, Xu Meng. I’m starting to see you in a new light.” Li Ming smiled.
Xu Meng tugged at He Miao’s sleeve happily. “Goddess, in my opinion, we don’t have to go back yet. We still have to go on stage to receive the award later!”
“He Miao shook her head in amusement. “There’s quite a few dance acts today. How do you know we’ll win an award?”
“I definitely know.” Li Ming nodded with certainty. “I paid special attention to the judges just now. They gave you full marks.”
“That’s great!” Xu Meng was so excited that she was dancing.
The last song on the stage finally came to an end, and it was time for the awards ceremony.
Unsurprisingly, Xu Meng and He Miao won first place. Photos of them receiving the award and their dance video were posted on the school forum with the title “Xu Meng and He Miao are working together again to perform a dance together.”
After the gala, Li Ming organized everyone to go to the villa they had booked for a class party.
The crowd cheered as they packed their things. He Miao took her bag and heard someone call her from behind. She turned around and realized it was Zhou Zhu, whom she had only met once.
Zhou Zhu saw her looking at him and happily walked to her side. He smiled and said, “Miaomiao, I’ve been watching your performance. I didn’t expect you to dance so well! I also watched the entire process of the fragrance making competition last time! You’re really multi-talented!”
“Thank you,” she said. He Miao nodded politely, her gaze passing over Zhou Zhu to look at Mu Xiao, who was walking over with a dark expression.
Mu Xiao’s face was cold as he grabbed Zhou Zhu’s collar and pulled him behind him without giving him any face. “Didn’t I tell you not to run around?”
This cousin of his was really troublesome. He had only gone to the bathroom, and he had sneaked out to find He Miao.
Zhou Zhu smiled awkwardly and introduced himself to He Miao. “I’m his cousin. I didn’t expect you to be in the same school as my cousin!”
“She used to be in the same class as your cousin.” Li Ming ordered everyone to pack up and look for He Miao. Then, he saw that she was surrounded by two boys and immediately came to her rescue. “Miaomiao, we should go.”
“Are you from the same class?” Zhou Zhu looked at Mu Xiao in disbelief. His cousin was too mean! ‘There was such a beautiful girl in the class, but he didn’t introduce me to her! If only I could have met He Miao earlier!’
Mu Xiao laughed bitterly in his heart. In the past, He Miao could not be considered a beauty. Who would have thought that in such a short period of time, He Miao would grow from a country bumpkin to such a beautiful woman?
Seeing that the two were about to leave, Zhou Zhu hurriedly asked, “Where are you guys going? Can I come along?”
Li Ming looked at He Miao, who was frowning, and shook his head apologetically. “I’m sorry, this is a private activity of our class. I can’t bring you guys along.”
Zhou Zhu immediately argued, “I’ll pay for all the expenses tonight. Is that okay?”
The students nearby all looked at Zhou Zhu when they heard this. This person was really generous. The cost of renting the villa tonight was shared by the whole class, which made many students who did not have a lot of living expenses would feel the pain for a while.
They did not expect that there would be a ready-made spendthrift who took the initiative to pay for the expenses. The students immediately looked at the class rep expectantly, waiting for him to make a decision.
“No,” Li Ming said firmly, “This is an activity for our class. I have to ensure the safety of every student, so I can’t bring anyone I’m not familiar with to participate.”
Zhou Zhu suddenly became anxious. “But, I’m—”
Before he could finish his words, Mu Xiao quickly pulled him back and said with a frown, “Alright, hurry home. Otherwise, I’m going to call your dad.”
Only then did Zhou Zhu quiet down. He watched helplessly as He Miao and Li Ming left together and got on the bus that was parked at the side.
Mu Xiao heaved a sigh of relief when he saw that Zhou Zhu had calmed down. He sent the video he had recorded to Jing Yan, then dragged Zhou Zhu into the car and told him to go home obediently before he returned to his class.
He Miao sat in the last row of the bus. Xu Meng was next to her, and Li Ming was on her right.
She looked at the class rep apologetically and smiled. “I’ve caused you trouble just now.”
“I’m fine.” Li Ming smiled and took out the snacks that he had prepared earlier and gave them to the two of them. “You must be hungry after the dance. Have some to fill your stomach.”
