Qi Lei went in quickly, sliding his keycard into his pocket.

Qi Feng's expression darkened as he watched Qi Lei head in. He gave Morrison a signal before the latter started pushing his wheelchair inside while the two bodyguards followed behind.

Inside the living room, Qi Lei took off his coat the moment he stepped into his home. He only had a white shirt on as he walked towards the sofa and lay down after tossing his coat aside.

Morrison soon came in with Qi Feng. When they arrived beside the sofa, Morrison stopped and left quietly as Qi Feng raised his hand.

"What are you doing here? Be straightforward. I don't have a lot of time to waste."

Qi Lei did not waste any time. Although they had not seen each other for six years, Qi Lei did not seem to miss Qi Feng at all. Their relationship had always been bland. Qi Feng had a lot of conflicts with Wang Qin back then as well since he was often the topic she fought with Qi Qiming over.

Qi Lei had not forgotten about the past.

However, Qi Lei knew who the culprit was because he had gone into Qi Feng's room before and found those photos inside a large envelope on his table.

In comparison to Qi Lei's easygoing nature, Qi Feng seemed much more mature as he just sat in the wheelchair and stared quietly at Qi Lei.

"I'm sure you know that Father was admitted into the hospital," Qi Feng spoke up moments later, his gaze fixed on Qi Lei's face.

Qi Lei shrugged and gave him a perplexed look. "I heard about it. Shasha told me some time ago. It seems like something huge is happening to Qi Kai, is that it?"

"If you knew, how could you still sit here peacefully? Don't you know we're in a terrible crisis right now? Don't you think that you should be responsible as a member of the Qi family? That person in the hospital right now is your father!" Qi Feng replied quietly, his emotions in check.

Qi Lei smiled amusedly. "Didn't you hear me? I'm not related to the Qi family anymore! Qi Qiming is your father, not mine! Don't be mistaken! I have no business with him! I didn't do what's being circulated on the news, so how is this my fault? No matter what, I'm sure you know what actually happened." His eyes turned cold as he spoke. It was as if his gaze was piercing through Qi Feng.

Qi Feng put a warm smile on his face as if he really did not understand Qi Lei. "It doesn't matter if you're willing to admit it or not. He's still the father that gave you life. Your opinion isn't important here because that is a fact!"

"If that's the case, you should start praying. Wait and see if I'll die in an accident tomorrow. Maybe I can pay Qi Qiming with my life that way. I don't feel good being his son anyway. It's sorrowful. In fact, isn't that what someone's wish is as well?"

Qi Lei's voice was as cold as ice, but he still maintained a smile.

Just spit out what you really want to say. Don't tell me you're here to talk about this nonsense!" Qi Lei scoffed in an impatient tone. He ran his fingers through his dark hair as he leaned back on the sofa.

"You have to get out and clarify regarding matters on Qi Kai. Also, you need to head to the hospital. The media has spread rumors that Father and you are having a lot of conflicts. I want to prove to them wrong, and that you're on good terms with Father." Qi Feng was straightforward this time.

Qi Lei suddenly smiled when he heard Qi Feng's words. This commanding tone was exactly like Qi Qiming. They just seemed so identical right now.

"They are telling the truth. I'm not on good terms with that old man. In fact, we can almost start a war anytime. Are they wrong? I'm supportive of their attitude to seek out the truth!"
