Chapter 246 - Care (Part-2)

"Knock….Knock…" Mo Jiang was kind enough to knock on her door but what he was exactly urging for was to dash into her room, take her by the shoulders and let her know how to take care of herself.

However, on another note, 'What right did he have towards her? Is he her husband or boyfriend or brother?' Mo Jiang thought to himself and he knew the answer very well and that was…

No!

He was none.

Thus, he decided to go against his urges and knocked on her room door instead.

'Click!'

"Mr. Mo?" Liu Juan looked at him dubiously. Her eyes were red and puffy. 

'Sure enough, Liu Ruolan's words were too kind to bring tears to her eyes'. Mo Jiang thought sarcastically.

Since he didn't want to cross the line again, he didn't speak it out loud though.

"Come outside and have dinner." Mo Jiang just said the words for which he was there.

"I have already said, I am not hungry." Liu Juan replied in a hoarse voice which only increased his anger.

"Ms. Liu, I know you are desperate to die but let me remind you, our deal isn't over yet."

Since Mo Jiang had talked to her nastily, Liu Juan's reply wouldn't be in nice words too. "Skipping a dinner won't take away my life and I know our deal isn't over yet, so you don't have to remind me over and over again."

"Death never asks anyone permission before taking their life. It comes suddenly and leaves behind only sorrow." Of course, Mo Jiang knew the rules of death as he had lost his mother along with his sweet childhood which turned into a responsibility to take care of his younger brother and make sure that his younger son wouldn't lose his life in terms of sacrifice.

Liu Juan saw a glint of sadness in Mo Jiang's eyes, even for a fraction of seconds. It seemed that Mo Jiang had a sadistic past and it made her wonder whether life let anyone live happily?

She didn't see anyone so perhaps, no one was happy with their lives.

"Come on, don't waste my time. Let's eat dinner." Mo Jiang's sadness stayed for a second and again he was back to being overbearing which urged her to overrule his overbearing nature. Nevertheless, she knew that her strength wasn't that much stronger in front of him.

Sighing, she followed behind him as she didn't want to waste her energy when she already knew what the final outcome would be even after a verbal counter back.

But before they arrived at the dining table, an unexpected guest had arrived and Liu Juan felt pity for the guest as well.

"What are you doing here?" Mo Jiang narrowed his eyes looking at the person.

"Big Brother…" Mo Jinnan trailed off his words seeing Mo Jiang's displeased expression. However, Mo Jinnan was getting worried seeing that Mo Jiang hadn't arrived at the company yet, let alone to their home since the last one month and was doing all the work of the company remotely.

Perhaps, he was hurt or doing some risky mission that Mo Jinnan couldn't stop himself and came here to meet Mo Jiang despite knowing that Mo Jiang would be displeased.

Nonetheless, Mo Jinnan didn't care and just came here. Worst case scenario, Mo Jiang would beat him up again like he did the last time.

"...I brought the file which you have asked for." Mo Jinnan got his courage to reply.

"I remember, I asked Qi Zhu to bring this file. Since when did you start doing work for my assistant?" Mo Jiang's words were harsh while he didn't move forward to take the doc.u.ments.

Liu Juan was stuck behind Mo Jiang as she didn't know whether she should leave and give some privacy to the brothers or she should stay here without any movement to avoid the unnecessary disturbance.

It seemed that the second option was better because Mo Jiang didn't ask her to leave. Also, now that she had understood his nature, if there was something that he wanted to keep a secret, he wouldn't utter a word until he sent her far away from such that even the walls won't be able to hear his confidential information to transmit to her.

"I...I wanted to meet you…"

"And what is the reason behind that?"

"Do I need to have a reason to meet my brother?"

"Yes!" Mo Jiang replied in a deadpan tone.

Mo Jiang's indifferent attitude towards Mo Jinnan hurt not only Mo Jinnan but also Liu Juan.

Who talked to his brother like that?

Was he really Mo Jinnan's biological brother?

If their facial features wouldn't match, then anyone would think that Mo Jiang was Mo Jinnan's stepbrother let alone Liu Juan.

"Big brother…I…" Mo Jinnan didn't want to argue with him; he just wanted to see him and have dinner together. After that, he would leave.

Dismally, before he could say a word further, Mo Jiang crushed his plan, "Leave!"

"Big Brother..."

"Keep the file here and leave now!" Mo Jiang cut off his words. Still, Mo Jinnan said what he wanted to. "I haven't had my lunch. Let me have dinner here..."

"Guards!" A single roar from Mo Jiang and a dozen men immediately arrived at the scene.

"Throw him out of here and make sure that he won't enter inside this villa ever again." Mo Jiang commanded and turned to leave but a quick protest came from Mo Jinnan.

"You can't do this to me. I am your brother…."

However, since when did Mo Jinnan's protest begin to work against Mo Jiang? The end result was the same and it would continue to be the same. That was Mo Jinnan would always be thrown out of all the places where his life would be at risk.

After Mo Jinnan was thrown out of the villa, Mo Jiang didn't have a mood to eat.

Thus, he left without a word.
