Chapter 266 - Unfair (Part-2)

Mo Jiang shook his head and said in a drunken tone. "No…I still haven't told you where I was that night. How can you not be angry at me? Let me tell you. Jinnan… He doesn't support our marriage. He found out about you, everything. And I don't know from where... Now he has put a choice in front of me; either to choose you or him. Besides, he has also joined our underworld business. How can he do this? Did he forget how we lost our mother? I made so many sacrifices for him but he…" A drop of tear fell on her hands from his eyes as Liu Juan continued to hear his murmurs. "I don't want to lose you or him…"

With that, he passed out in her arms.

Liu Juan's brows knitted deeply. She knew that Mo Jiang was stressed about something but she didn't expect that it would be because of Mo Jinnan.

Since she started living with Mo Jiang, she could feel Mo Jinnan's hostility toward her and she also understood the reason behind Mo Jinnan's hostility. Once, she had also felt the same way towards Bo Xiao when she saw that Bo Xiao was getting the attention of Liu Ruolan which she always wanted to have.

Mo Jiang was so stressed because of Mo Jinnan and she, instead of helping him, was being indifferent towards him. Guilt glittered in her eyes after knowing the reason behind Mo Jiang's stress.

However, how could she know about it?

She wasn't a god who could read the other person's mind. Mo Jiang should have shared with her. Nevertheless, now that she knew about Mo Jiang's problem, she would definitely solve it for him.

She was always fixated on the belief that if she showed her weakness in front of Mo Jiang then he would protect her but she forgot that Mo Jiang was also a human who also had some weaknesses and that he needed someone too to provide him with some sense of protection. Thus, for him, she needed to be strong.

Liu Juan took Mo Jiang back to Amora Mansion and soon after, she went out to meet Mo Jinnan with the help of Qi Zhu (Mo Jiang's assistant).

Initially, Qi Zhu hesitated to take Liu Juan to Mo Mansion but then Liu Juan revealed the news of her marriage with Mo Jiang to him. Obviously, at first, Qi Zhu refused to accept this news. After all, he liked Liu Juan which was why he had transferred Liu Juan from the accountants department to the secretarial department so that he and Liu Juan could work closely and get to know each other.

However, seeing the marriage certificate in Liu Juan's hands, Qi Zhu had nothing else to say except obey the command of his lady boss.

"What are you doing here? Although, you have married Jiang, don't expect that we have accepted you. A person like you doesn't deserve to be our Mo family's daughter-in-law!" Mo Jin was immediately displeased to see Liu Juan at his foot door.

"It doesn't matter whether you accept me or not because it doesn't affect the truth that I am the lawful wife of Mo Jiang. I want to meet Mo Jinnan. I will leave once I talk to him." Liu Juan firmly replied without being affected by Mo Jin's disapproval.

"You. Guards, throw this woman out!" Seeing that this girl had a sharp tongue like Mo Jiang, Mo Jin wanted to throw her out but…

"Dad!" Mo Jinnan stopped him as he walked downstairs with the help of a cane. His left leg got injured when Si Li's men had beaten him up.

"What do you want to talk to me about? Say it." Mo Jinnan asked her.

Liu Juan looked at Mo Jin and then her eyes darted back to Mo Jinnan. "Let's talk in private."

"Say here whatever you want to say." Mo Jin said. Things were finally going as he wanted. Therefore, he didn't want anyone to do things against his wishes as Mo Jiang always did.

But Liu Juan didn't heed his words and said to Mo Jinnan.

"I am waiting for you outside."

She turned around and walked out.

"Say, what do you want to talk about?" Mo Jinnan asked as he came out to the garden when Liu Juan was waiting for him.

He had agreed to talk to her, not because he wanted to hear what she had to say but because he wanted to throw her out of his brother's life.

"I know you are jealous of me…" Liu Juan had started to say when she heard his scornful voice.

"Jealous? Why would I be jealous of you?" A glint of disdain could be seen in his eyes for her which didn't stay hidden from Liu Juan's gaze.

However, she didn't get affected by it, instead, she replied, "Because I am getting the attention of your brother which you always wanted from him." Liu Juan revealed his thoughts straightforwardly.

Mo Jinnan's jaw tightened upon hearing her words.

Liu Juan continued, "And you want to throw me out of his life so that you can take my place in your brother's life, right?"

Mo Jinnan didn't reply but Liu Juan knew what she was saying was absolutely right.

That was why she continued further, "But you know what, you can't take my position ever."

Hearing her words, the waves of anger rose in Mo Jinnan's heart as he clenched his fists. However, that happened only for a fraction of a second as she heard her continue further. "Because your position in your brother's heart is much higher than me that he will always choose you over me."

A glint of sadness instantly swirled in her eyes recalling the tears in Mo Jiang's eyes which she had never seen before. Perhaps, Mo Jiang had never cried in front of anyone that Liu Juan couldn't help but ask, "But don't you think you are being unfair to your brother?"
