At last the old Smith brought a piece of a big bone and some leather that looked like it was from a snake as it had scales.

Out of the bone they made bone glue with which they glued a strip of the leather to the handle to make an amrstring.

John gazed at his hammer as it was finished until it suddenly flew right into him and he felt somehow complete like his brother was with him playing the game with him.
