Exploring around the villa, one room especially caught Bai AnLing's eyes, the garage. It was a big room with an entrance from the kitchen area and a big electric gate on the other side of it.
Inside, on one wall were tools hanged on a magnetic tape above a long, yet not so wide, metallic table, with lots of drawers. On the side of the table was a big wooden cabinet with boxes, small and big, covering its shelves.
'Seems like someone here had a hobbie of fixing things themselves'
Bai AnLing smirked at this thought as it once again reminded him of Dai ZhiHao, who had a bad habit of trying to fix things himself, even though he was terrible at it and always needed to call him for help in the end. Each time that happened, Bai AnLing would joke about how without him, Zhi would gave been kicked out of his house already, for destruction of property.
'I really hope he is doing alright without me...'
Even after being paralyzed from the waist down, Dai ZhiHao would still come to him requesting his help to fix the stuff he destroyed. Being a cop, he didn't have a large salary, so he couldn't afford hiring professionals to do the work. Bai AnLing, on his end, really enjoyed the way that Zhi treated him just the same as he did before the accident, not treating him like something fragile that needs to be protected.
Continuing on scanning the room you could see on the other side of the garage was a more creative area, with oil colors and acrylic paint stocking up the shelves of another smaller cabinet. This cabinet was also next to a table, a wooden one this time, and next to it was also a drawing stand leaning on the wall.
'I guess this is where Lin Li's mother created most of her works.'
Once again the characters hobbies were clear to see, but the thing that intrigued Bai AnLing the most was the two cars covered with a thick and heavy fabric standing in the middle of the room.
Pulling on the fabric on one of the cars, a small light blue car with two doors was revealed. It had 5 light beige leather seats, looking almost new.
The other car was revealed to be a family car with 4 doors that could easily fit 8 people inside it and had comfy fabric seats. It on the other hand showed some wear and even had colour splashes on the back seats.
'These two cars really show the evolution a family makes, haha.'
Bai AnLing circled the cars with fondness in his eyes, especially when looking at the smaller car, remembering how difficult it was for him to adapt to driving in a handicapped car which was quite big and slow.
[Host I'm afraid Lin Li never had his driver license made, since the Shui family never paid for him to learn to drive.]
Seeing the fondness in its host's eyes, Vine couldn't feel but sorry for its host for breaking the news.
*Tch*
hearing those words, Bai AnLing clicked his tongue.
"Those Shui people really have no shame, it's not even their money but Lin Li's! They had no reason to stop him from learning to drive! Shameless!"
Having his fantasy of driving a normal car crashed, Bai AnLing was very dissatisfied. In his heart he took note of how the Shui parents shamelessly took that opportunity away from him, swearing to get them back for it later on. Vine watched from the side how its host reacted to the news. It found its host to be unstable emotionally sometimes. Although it knew Bai AnLing was very smart and capable, it felt that he was not completely mature emotionally. A high IQ low EQ situation in a way.
"Hey vine?"
After a few minutes of Bai AnLing cursing the Shui name he finally calmed down and now seemed to be contemplating on something. Seemingly not being able to solve the problem in his mind on his own, Bai AnLing turned to Vine in search of advice.
[Yes host?]
Glad to be a source of support to its host and also being puzzled about what was bothering him, Vine answered with curiosity in its voice.
"Even though you say that I'm going to take revenge, I don't really know how to do that... I'm usually a really laid back person and I don't really tend to hold a grudge..."
Even though Bai AnLing was really mad at times, he never really taken revenge on anyone before, not even on the person that caused that accident, crippling him. Facing this completely new world, all he wanted was to live his life comfortably, doing what he wants to do.
[Host...]
Vine could understand what it's host was talking about. This wasn't even his revenge to take in the first place, so it was probably hard for Bai AnLing to think of this revenge as his own to accomplish. Also, being the mild mannered person he is, taking revenge never really was his thing, and now it was a wall for him to pass.
[I wish I was able to help you think of a plan but I am not allowed to...]
Although it really wanted to help its host, it had its own rules and missions to follow integrated into it's core, not leaving room for debate.
