46 The Black Haired Princess

Being born the seventh child of my family, I was always spoiled by my older sisters. While my older brothers loved to pick on me and bully me a little. That was the luck of being born the youngest and a boy into my rowdy family.

But this was the first time that someone had grabbed my hand like this! Her hand was cold and a little rough, but still very soft. It wasn't a hand that I imagined belonging to a girl like her.

Yet, I didn't think that this was bad either, for her hand to feel this way.

She obviously got a little flustered with my father's comment, but I didn't mind it at all. I was used to it. After being on the road with my father for six months and visiting a lot of his friends, he'd made the same joke many times.

Of course, she didn't know about that.

It looks like she had a lot of people that were vying for her attention if her mother's comment was any indication of that fact.

I could see her having a lot of attention, she was stunning.

Her mismatched golden and green eyes are striking and leave an air of mystery within the air. They're also just round enough to be cute, but sharp enough to be a little devious. She's a slender, but quite impactful dresses in a full set of black armor.

The light scent of blood was still hanging on her, it seems that she'd been out hunting beforehand. I could also see some dings and scratches in her armor, but it looks well maintained.

It looks like she wasn't like the other little misses that I'd seen in my time traveling. She seemed to care about her things, not like some of the others that treated objects like nothing! That was very refreshing to see.

Looking down at her hand that still curled around mine, I couldn't help but smile.

"Where are we going?" I ask her.

Stopping she turns and looks at me, her bright eyes looking at me warmly. Her little lips are a slight pink and her long fangs poke out slightly.

"Sorry, I just started dragging you, didn't I?" She laughs and let's go of my hand. She rubs the back of her head, her long inky black hair swaying slightly.

She looks very childish when she smiles. Even with all the armor on, it didn't detract from cuteness at all. If anything, the armor made her feel even more endearing.

"It's okay, Lady Hollis," I tell her.

Nodding her, she stops and looks at me with a frown. Had I said something that she hadn't liked?

"Please just call me Hollis, I don't like all the formalities, and then can I call you Mime?" She asks me with a bright smile.

I felt my heart squeeze softly, she looked like a cute little girl. That smile could captivate the hearts of a lot of people.

"Of course, please call me Mime," I tell her.

Grabbing my tail, I sucked in a deep breath. Ah, I wanted to do nothing but pat her head and rub her little white cheeks, she's just too cute!

This was a bad habit that I'd inherited from my sisters and mother. Anytime they see anything cute they just can't control themselves. It was easy for a woman to get away with that, but boys that weren't fair at all!

I'd be called a pervert if I went and patted her head and cheeks, I didn't want that at all!

Looking up, I found her looking at my tail enamored.

"Hollis?" I ask.

Her head shoots up and she gives me an awkward smile. She really was looking at my tail! Did she find my tails and ears interesting?

"Ah, let's head over to my wing of the house, shall we? I'll introduce you to my friends!" She says quickly turning around and walking forward.

Not leaving me anytime to ask her if she wanted to touch my tail. Darn, had I missed my chance to use my tails and ears as leverage to give her a good pat?!

I was an idiot, wasn't I?

It didn't take too long to reach the wing of the house that she was talking about. Looking around, I found that it didn't feel much like the wing of a child.

There weren't a lot of toys or other things around, rather I saw a lot of rooms that had books and then a kitchen and a fair few sitting rooms and even bedrooms. It was pretty normal, wasn't it?

She pushes open a door, and steps into it. I follow her in and gently close the door behind her.

"Cecily was waiting for you!" The soft and fluffy voice of a little girl rings out.

A small white-haired girl bounces over towards Hollis, she looked ready to jump her. But before she could get close, Hollis stops her with her right arm.

"Careful, I'm still dirty. I wouldn't want you to ruin your pajamas," Hollis says softly.

Looking closer at the girl, I find that she's got tattoo's running up her body. It ran down her whole entire right arm and crawls up her neck a bit. Then I find that she's got two lines that run down from her eyes and down her cheeks, just missing her lips.

Her flesh was lightly sun-kissed, and her big golden-brown eyes are drawn into a pouting position.

Looking away from the little girl, I look at the huge room that I'm in now. To the right of there was a large table that had chairs surrounding it. On the table, there was an assortment of food and treats.

It all smelled very delicious. Just past the table, I notice that there was a bed, it was quite huge and made up neatly.

After that there were a couple of doors, looking to my left, I find that there is a fireplace, and just before the fireplace is a huge couch. The couch looked quite comfortable; it was completely black with a silver outlining frame.

Past that there was vanity that had all sorts of things hanging from it. Jewelry and other beautiful things. I was assuming that this was Hollis' room, but then why was there a little girl in her room?

"Mime," she says my name, and I look towards her. She's now got the little girl facing me, and those round golden-brown eyes are looking at me curiously.

"This is Cecily, she's my friend, and her Brother's over there on the couch," Hollis says with a. tilt of her head.

On the couch?

"Hollis, I was trying to sleep," a boy's voice says. Turning I find that looking over the top of the couch is a boy. He didn't look completely like his sister.

He has completely black hair, much like Hollis. His eyes are the same golden-brown as his sister, but they're more slanted. His skin was a deep and darker sun-kissed color than his sister. Also, they both had the same tattoo's over their eyes and cheeks, except he seemed to stretch down his neck.

Jumping over the couch, I see that he doesn't have a shirt on. He was quite built and was about the same height as me. On his bare chest are a number of tattoo's that twist into a beautifully detailed story of sorts.

"I'm Ekon," the boy that shirtless, stretching's his hand out towards me.

Reaching my own hand, I take him and shake it.

"Mime," I reply shortly. He nods his head and let's go of my hand.

Looking at the pair of brother and sister, I wasn't sure what race they were. I'd never seen anyone that looked like the two of them.

"What are you two?" I ask them.

"Cecily and Brother get that a lot, we're nomads. We're humans, but we've been exiled from the homeland of humans," Cecily, the little white-haired girl, explains.

Humans…

But they were nomadic, that meant that they're the tribe that split off from the human's centuries ago. That made these two the descended of those first nomadic humans.

I'd heard about the nomadic tribes, but I'd never met any of them before.

"You're a Beast Kin then, right?" Ekon asks me.

"Yes, I am a tiger race, Beast Kin," I say grabbing my tail.

"Go easy on him you two. I'll be right back, I'm going to change out of my armor," Hollis says with a smile as she walks off.

Heading to the door on her right, she opens it and closes it.

Once the door closes the two of them get even closer to me.

"What do you think of Hollis?" Ekon asks me.

"Ehh…"

"To forward Brother. Let Cecily handle this!" Cecily scold her brother. It was interesting, I'd never met anyone that talked in the third person like she did.

Turning her focus towards me. "Cecily wants to know what you think about Hollis. Do you like Hollis?" She asks me, her little face was stern.

Oh, were these the admirers that her mother was talking about?

They both are adorable. Ah, everything cute in this world is great, but still, even those these two were cute, they weren't as cute as Hollis.

Conventionally she would be considered a beautiful child. Whereas Cecily was fluffy cute and just warms the heart.

I'd taken a liking to Hollis' unconventional cuteness.

"She reminds me of a Princess. I don't like her the way that you and your brother like her. But yes, I do like her," I tell them with a smile.

Ekon looks at me with a dark smile, while Cecily just looks confused.

Had he caught on to my hidden meaning?
