42 Return to Training

It was just after Jayde had made camp, that Isha contacted her, informing her that he had "returned". Surprised to find that Jayde had contracted such a powerful beast, he was nevertheless relieved that she had such a strong ally, not only would Reiko serve as a powerful war-beast, but he could also be a flying mount for Jayde.

"Now that I am back, you need to return to the Pavilion to continue your training" he informed Jayde.

While happy that Isha was back, Jayde was a bit upset at the timing of her training, she had wanted to spend the time at the lake going over the information that Kameko had left her, also she was worried about Reiko, what would she do with him while she was in training, he was too young to beleft on his own.

Bringing up her concern about Reiko, Jayde asked if he could be bought into the Protoss Divine System.

Isha was confused about Jayde request, then realizing that she had limited knowledge about contracted beasts he explained.

"You don't need to worry about that, he can stay in your pet space"

Sensing Jayde's confusion Isha went on to explain, that each time a contract was formed with a battle pet, a small dimensional space was created, where a battle pet could live, this dimensional space was beneficial to battle pets, as they could heal quicker there, and they could use the time there to cultivate, and since contracted pets shared a bond with their contractors they were not alone, as they were in contact with their contractor all time time.

This meant that they could sense when their contractor was in danger and could appear to help, Jayde could also share her mind with her battle pet, so that they could see and hear whatever she did. She also had the ability to block them as well, which was good as this way she could also have privacy if she wanted.

Isha then informed Jayde that once she upgraded the Protoss Divine System, Reiko would have access to it, and could live there instead, at least that way he would have a world to interact with instead of the small dimensional space.

Happy to know that Reiko would at least be safe, Jayde summoned Reiko into her pet space. While Reiko was unhappy about not be able to be by Jayde side, after she explained everything about the Protoss Divine System, and that she had to go through this training to stabilize her foundation, he was quite happy to stay in her pet space.

Reiko was really surprised to learn about the Protoss artifact, he now understood why his mother had told him that his contractor would be a powerful person in this world one day.

With Reiko stored safely away in her pet space. Jayde packed up, then visualizing the Pavilion, she disappeared from the lake and reappeared in the Pavilion.

After appearing in Pavilion, Jayde noticed that Isha looked pale and drawn, frowning in concern she walked up to him.

"Hey, are you okay? You really don't look good"

Waving off her concern Isha replied "I'm fine"

Seeing that she looked unconvinced "Really, I'm fine just tired" he reiterated.

Still unconvinced, Jayde nevertheless knew that Isha wouldn't tell her anything so she dropped the matter.

Changing the topic Isha said, "You new trainer is Green, she specializes in magical studies".

What is it with these trainers, naming themselves after colors Jayde thought to herself.

Just then a tiny woman appeared next to Isha, she was really pretty, with short red hair, and soft grey eyes.

"Hello Jayde, I am Ms. Green, you magical teacher" Green introduced herself, her voice was soft and slightly child-like.

To say that Jayde was surprised with the appearance of Green was an understatement, Green looked so soft and delicate, that Jayde really couldn't see her as some sort of powerful mage. It wouldn't take Jayde long to change her opinion about this tiny woman.

Jayde bowed down "Ms. Green"

After the introductions were done, Green took Jayde to her training space, just before entering she looked at Jayde with a serious expression.

"Jayde, as you are aware your foundation is critically unstable, while you have stabilized it somewhat over the past week, it is not enough, the way you are going about it now — it would take years if not decades before you could stabilize it enough to carry on cultivating"

While Jayde knew that her foundation was unstable, she hadn't realized it was so bad.

"I have developed a specific training plan for you that will stabilize your cultivation, but I want you to be aware that it is going to be harsh, honestly, if you weren't in such a serious condition I would never allow one of my student to go through this sort of training" Green shook her head and carried on "so no matter what — you need to persevere"

Jayde nodded her head in agreement "Don't worry about me Ms. Green, I am a lot tougher than I look, I will stick to your training plan"

Jayde was relieved that she finally had a teacher that seemed to care about her students, White had left a really bad impression on her, and she had been nervous that all the teachers in the Protoss Divine System would have been just as sadistic as him.

Hearing Jayde commitment to her training Green smiled, then opening the door to her training room, she indicated for Jayde to enter.

And with that, Jayde's year-long magical training began. If White was sadistic, then Green was a slave master. In that year Jayde came to understand that while Green may be small and delicate, she was a tyrant.
