53 First Dimension Upgrade

Sending a response back that she did have Red Blossom Lotus. Jayde then checked out the herbs required section, after making over fifty trades, Jayde decided to check out the inter-dimensional mission board while waiting for her pills and potions to arrive.

Walking to the opposite wall, Jayde activated the screen. One the top right-hand side of the screen was written:

Seeing this Jayde asked Isha what this was all about, as previously when she had looked at the inter-dimensional mission board is had been grey out.Isha explained that as she successfully completed missions she would be awarded mission points, depending on the level of the mission taken, when she had earned enough mission points, her mercenary level would increase.

With an increase in rank, she would earn benefits and would gain access to better missions that would pay out higher commissions.

Looking back at the screen, Jayde noticed that only one mission card was available. Tapping on the card to open it, she read the mission available.

Location: Tardide, Planet: Telia, Dimension: 137

Mission: Village is being harassed by Direwolves pack. Investigate and eliminate the pack.

Payment: 5 Aura Stones

Mission Reward: 25 points + 50 mission points.

Jayde was astonished that the mission available wasn't on Doha, or even in the same dimension as Doha. She quickly called Isha over and asked him what did it mean that the mission was available on another world, and in a totally different dimension — and more importantly, if she took the mission how could she get there.

To Jayde amazement, she learned that the Protoss Divine System, would transport her to her mission location, of course, there were rules and regulations, she wasn't allowed to inform anyone of where she was from originally, she wasn't allowed to interfere with the local customs or beliefs, nor could she break any local laws, should she break any of these rules, she would have to face severe penalties — from being banned from the inter-dimensional mission board, to even having her contract with the Protoss Divine System canceled.

There were also drawbacks to the whole system, due to the energy required to transport her, she would not be able to leave for a full moon cycle, and the most important part was that she would lose contact with Isha as each dimension system was banned entering another dimension, but she could contact the mission control system, so she wouldn't be totally on her own, Isha did caution her that mission control was limited and would only be able to give her information specific to her mission.

Looking back at the mission card, Jayde had an internal debate with herself, while the mission rewards were pretty low, Jayde could earn a lot more points just trading herbs, but she really was eager to try this out. Jayde had always had an insatiable curiosity about the universe around her, and now that she had found out that she had been gifted with a way to explore different planets and dimensions she was really excited to try it out.

She still had three months until the school assessments, and rather than being stuck in the Dark Forest, Jayde decided to take this mission.

Tapping on the {accept mission} tab, Jayde tapped yes when the system asked her if she was sure she wanted to accept the mission.

Looking at Jayde excited expression, Isha couldn't help grinning, for the first time since he had met her, she looked like a fourteen-year-old girl. Once mission control confirmed that the mission had been assigned to her, Jayde looked around and couldn't see anything to tell her what to do next.

Laughing softly Isha pointed to a small slot at the bottom of the screen, reaching inside Jayde withdrew two small metal slips, one of the slips was white and the other was black.

Isha then informed Jayde that she had twenty-four hours to break the white card to activate the transmission to her mission destination. If she failed to activate the card within twenty-four hours the system would deem that she had failed the mission and appropriate punishment would be administered.

Once Jayde arrived at her destination when the black card turned white, it would mean that the transmission array had enough power to transport her back and when she was ready to return she would just have to break the second card to return. Again Isha cautioned her that she make sure that she was alone when she activated the return slip — no one was allowed to see her disappear.

Reiko, who was in Jayde's pet space had been following all the events happening, he was astounded to find out about the different worlds out there, but like Jayde, he was really excited to see these new places.He was only sad that his mother wasn't around to see all of this.

Feeling Reiko's excitement, Jayde asked Isha if Reiko would be allowed out of the pet space to visit these worlds with her. According to Isha it would depend on the world that she was visiting, but most times battle pets would be allowed to accompany their masters, should the battle pet be of a species that wasn't available on that specific world, mission control would then disguise the battle pet to something similar to what was on the world.

The more Jayde learned about the Divine Protoss system, the more shocked she was, the technology that the system so casually displayed was mind-blowing. While Jayde wasn't a naive young girl, she knew that this system had a hidden agenda, but she was really grateful that she had been chosen by the Divine Protoss System, and had the opportunity of experiencing all these unique events.

Going through her space ring, Jayde looked through her supplies to see that she had everything that she needed. Seeing that she was still had quite a few supplies left, Jayde decided to check the inter-dimensional market system to see if her goods had arrived yet. Noticing that most of her goods had arrived, Jayde quickly traded the pills and potions for points.

After she had finished trading, Jayde had earned herself three hundred and forty points, she now had five hundred and ten points, just enough to purchase the herbal garden upgrade which was five hundred points.

Since she still had over twenty hours before she had to leave, and she really wanted to know just how the system upgraded, Jayde selected the {Dimension Upgrade} tab, scrolling down to Herb Garden, she selected the {purchase} button, after confirming that she did want to spend five hundred points. The system confirmed that her purchase was successful.
