Norakh gave one glance at his disciple standing beside him, then turned quickly to look at Bergorakh's rising momentum before thinking, 'This strength, it's almost touching the attack power threshold of a Rank 3 Barbarian. …Bergorakh haven't shown such strength previously during life and death battle with the rank 3 Demon Beast last month; how can he have grown so much in such a short time. Could he have been hiding his strength? But why?"
Karakh seemed to have been thinking the same thing, but they stayed silent and watched the duel intently.
The lesser-ranking Barbarians were not so sensitive to power level, so they only became excited to see the Body Transformation Skill.
"Fuck yeah! Bergorakh used the Body Transformation skill; there's no way he is going to lose."
"Yeah, that's right. Just because of the transformation ability, Bergorakh has been able to lead five-strong Barbarian units at such a young age."
"I think if Bergorakh had the fighting talent or he had trained as hard as our leader Karakh, he might have taken his place."
"There's no way, Bergorakh could take Karakh's place with just that. I had heard that Norakh chose Karakh to take his place not only because of his strength and talent but because his ability to lead in battle using his brains, strategic mind our leader has, is what Norakh said," refuted a slightly wise-looking Barbarian.
"Strategic? What does that mean? It sounds human." asked a very, very dumb-looking barbarian.
"I don't know, but I hear its important reason due to which humans could fight back against us. We don't have enough barbarians with a strategic mind, or else we would have long enslaved humans." Replied the slightly wise-looking Barbarian.
"You got to be kidding me; how can brains do anything in a battle. It's our strength and courage and our weapons that leads us to overpower others in battle." Said another brute-looking barbarian. The very, very dumb-looking Barbarian appeared to have approved what the brute had said.
The slightly wise barbarians looked at both his companion in disdain; he said, "That's why idiots like you guys are never given command when we go out to hunt any Demon Beast. You would cause the death of the whole squad."
"You bastard, do you wanna fight us? Is that what you want?"
"Who's afraid of you two idiots? I could pummel you both with by just using my one arm."
The three of them almost unsheathed their weapons to fight on the spot.
"Hey, stop it, all three of you. Look, that Thor guy is going bare hand against Bergorakh." Another barbarian quickly stopped the three of them from fighting and pointed his finger towards the real fight.
Bergorakh looked like a huge mass of muscle standing in the center of the circle like a small hill, with his weapon still hovering above his head, ready to cleave the enemy into two.
Standing before him unarmed was Thor, who still appeared relaxed.
The Barbarians were baffled by Thor's actions.
Clearly, using his bare hands was the most stupid choice he could make against a Barbarian warrior with a weapon. Even sharp weapons would stand a meager chance at breaking Bergorakh's terrifying defenses after using the transformation skill, what more so being unarmed?
"Don't you have a weapon? Are you going fight against me with just your flesh?" Bergorakh, who had just raised his fighting intent to the highest and was ready to slash, paused upon seeing Thor standing still like a statue.
If it had been a normal death battle, Bergorakh would have already attacked, but since it was a non-life-threatening duel, he has to follow the rules and try not to give a death blow to the challenger or hurt him severely.
"I don't use a weapon. Oh, wait, in fact, I consider my body to be a weapon itself. So don't hesitate, youngling. Give it your all." Thor said nonchalantly. His words appeared to be quite arrogant as well as cool at the same time in front of the crowd.
A clear vein popped open on Bergorakh's head. He seemed to have taken Thor's words as naked humiliation towards him.
"There has been accidental death's occurring even during Garathdium duels in the past and every time there was the same reason for it. An overly arrogant prick like you thinks they are the strongest and then die because they overestimate their strength and don't take the fight seriously. Don't cry in front of the Death Goddess Maya that I killed you during a Garathdium, the death would be on you and not my fault, Bastard!"
Forgoing his previous concerns of killing Thor by accident, Bergorakh's suddenly raised his aura to another level.
His muscles expanded a few inches as he gathered more strength before the arm tightly clutching the scimitar above came down on Thor's head like thunder.
This attack of his was extremely powerful, causing the expression of the four Barbarians' on the same level as Bergorakh position before, to change. They would not be able to block this attack. Hell, they might not have the time to react to put up defenses against it.
Even Karakh and Norakh appeared to be extremely surprised by the strength shown by Bergorakh in this attack because the attack power has definitely surpassed the threshold and entered the rank of a blow from a proper Rank 3 Barbarian.
But that descending scimitar suddenly paused in midair. A hand had tightly grabbed it.
Seeing Thor use a single hand to grab hold of Bergorakh's weapon effortlessly, everyone was utterly stunned.
Bergorakh's scimitar was no less than a High-grade Black ranked weapon and extraordinarily sharp. It was something that could cut apart metal and was capable of slicing Rank 1 Demon Beast in half.
But Thor's hand had caught it easily. Everyone was extremely shocked because of this.
Norakh and Karakh's eyes almost popped open. He
As for Bergorakh, he struggled to retrieve his weapon, but after pulling four times, he realized he could not move it in the slightest from Thor's hand. His face was already turning purple from trying.
"You bastard… let go…" cursed the Barbarian.
"Youngling, prepare yourself; it's my turn now," said Thor before he let go of his grip on the blade.
Whoossh~
Suddenly Thor's body vanished from everyone's sight, only Karakh was able to see a dark blur moving to the right, but soon he lost track of it in the next second.
