42 Chapter 42: Another Sudden Attacked

He didn't believe it then. But one day, he would realize he couldn't control everything, and falling in love was one good example.

"Ha. You will see, Mr. Spencer Davidson..." Nathalia grinned cheekily. Seeing her playful look, Spencer blushed for a second, and suddenly he put his hand around the back of her head, pulled her towards him and kissed her. His tongue found its way through her lips, searching hers.

Nathalia was startled. Her cheeks grew red and hot. She was breathless, trying to push him away "Hmmm. Stop. Stop..."

He's doing it again. Another sudden attack! Ahhhh. Irritating!

And this time, it was a full-on kiss. So much passion and desire. He wanted her.

She tried to protest and push him with her hands, but Spencer caught her wrists easily and held them back while his tongue went on searching through the door of her rosy lips. Her heart was racing, and slowly she felt herself surrendering. He whispered in her ear, breathing fast and heavy, "Your so-called sister and that guy are watching us in the car behind. Don't be too loud."

Nathalia froze and surrendered completely. Spencer immediately put his arms around her and cuddled her tight, sampling the softness of her lips and the warmth of her tongue.

Though he had been with numerous girls, he had never kissed any of them on their lips. It was one of his strange principles. Nathalia was the first one.

He had forgotten all the principles or rules. He couldn't let her go. He loved the way she made him feel. There and then, all he wanted was to kiss her, touch her, be with her. She was his desire.

He couldn't understand what it was.

It went on for a time that seemed endless. Slowly and gently, his lips departed from hers, his arms still around her waist, and he rested his forehead on her shoulder, trying to cool down the flaming desire inside him.

What's happened to me? I want her so much.

Nathalia slowly caught breath and looked at the rear mirror to see no cars behind. She frowned and questioned, "Where are they? There isn't a car behind."

"They left." He said casually.

Is he lying? Nathalia doubted.

But Spencer showed not a tiny trace of having told a lie at all. It's probably true. Nathalia thought. Then she continued, "Even if they are following us, you can't just..."

He could give her a heart attack if he went on attacking her with kisses like this. Her heart was still pounding fast. In her last life, she had only been with one guy, Ben, who was very different from Spencer. Spencer was like a fire, blazing with passion, while Ben was like a breeze, gentle, and brief. A tender peck on her cheeks or sometimes lips was what she was used to. She had never experienced such intenseness.

It was like he had dug into her soul. It was even terrifying.

"But, er..." Nathalia blinked and couldn't think of a good comeback.

Secretively, Spencer smiled complacently, thinking Silly girl. She's innocent, adorably.

Ever since Spencer picked up Nathalia outside her school a few times, Nathalia's classmates had been giving her strange looks. Some curious, some angry, and most jealous.

The teachers had made an attempt to give Nathalia the implication that she should stop seeing Spencer and causing a commotion amongst the students. Nathalia pretended she didn't understand, and there was nothing they could do about it. She was, after all, from the Carter family. What's more, she had been doing well in her study, keeping her position as one of the top ten students at school.

The rumors did not affect her. She remained the positive, brave, and strong Nathalia as she had been. No one dared question her about the heatedly discussed relationship anyway though there was an exception.

The bell rang. The last class ended. Nathalia packed her books, and cheerfully she said to Sophie, "Sophie, dinner at yours tonight?" She grinned.

It had been a few days since she last visited Mrs. Watson, and she missed her cooking. They had all been busy, especially Mrs. Watson, so Nathalia had stopped visiting daily.

Sophie grinned back happily, "Sure. Shall we ask mum to make your favorite chicken pot pie?"

"Oh, yes, please. Yum, yum." Nathalia chuckled.

The two were chatting joyfully as they walked to the gate when Lily Roberts came in front of them and demanded, "Nathalia Carter, are you really dating Spencer Davidson? Is it true?"

She sounded bitter and resentful. And she was loud.

People around them heard and paused to listen. They dared not blink or make a sound, fearing that they would miss anything.

Nathalia replied indifferently, "I've got nothing to say to you." and thought Annoying nosy thing.

"Huh. Don't be smug. You will see it in two weeks!" Lilly snapped bitterly. Jealousy filled her head.

"In two weeks?" Nathalia wondered.

Lilly sneered. "Aha. Don't you know? None of the girls Spencer dated could last two weeks?"

It was true. Spencer had dumped every girl he dated after two weeks when he grew tired of them.

Nathalia then realized, but instead of feeling hurt or shocked, she simply shrugged her shoulders and said, "I see. Cool. That's not a bad thing." while thinking it was only an agreement they were following, and they were not in a real relationship anyway.

Lily was rather taken aback. She shouted behind as Nathalia and Sophie marched on cheerfully, "Nathalia Carter, you will be crying soon!"

Nathalia turned around with a smile, "Well, you don't even have the chance to cry."

The crowd laughed out loud. Lily blushed with embarrassment.

Then a clear voice changed the vibe, "Babe, don't let her waste your time."

"It's Spencer Davidson!"

"So handsome!"

The crowd turned to the voice and exclaimed.

Clad in a white shirt, he looked smart and sharp. As usual, his charm was evident.

Nathalia replied with a sweet smile, "and I shall not." Didn't he just leave for Europe on a business trip a few days ago? Short trip.

"Good girl. You deserve a treat. I've booked a table for us." He smiled back at her and pecked gently on her cheek. Nathalia blushed.

The girls grew greatly jealous.

Lily's face reddened more with anger than embarrassment. She said to Spencer firmly, "Spencer, Nathalia isn't what you think she's like. She's fake and pretentious..."

Lily went on and on till she could not think of any more mean remarks to make. Sophie was furious and was about to defend Nathalia when Spencer said calmly, "I just love the way she is. She's the most special one to me." His arm around Nathalia's waist, his eyes fixed on hers.
