129 Chapter 129: Behaving Like A Stubborn Kid

Nathalia had a little tour around the plane. Impressive. What a luxury and great taste!

Spencer found her at the door of the cinema. He took her hand, led her inside, sat her down. "Nathalia, stay here." After a minute or so, the waiter arrived with fresh orange juice and some tasty snacks. "Here." Spencer passed her a juice.

He seemed to have changed his tactics, arranging or deciding everything for her as if he was her legal partner, and it was all-natural for him to do so.

Speechlessly, Nathalia suggested, "Can you please show some respect and ask me first?" Yes, I made you breakfast, but that doesn't mean anything. She thought. We are still separate. We are not a couple. Why is he behaving like this?

Spencer insisted and put the juice in her hands. "Respect? It doesn't work." He said casually. Spencer had learned that to show Nathalia respect was to keep her in the distance. She thinks too much and worries too much, which makes it easier to retreat and hide and escape. However, as long as it isn't something of too much importance, she rarely says no once I decide, though she might complain a little bit. As long as I take the first step, be a little bit forceful, things shall go as I would like it.

Spencer thought delightedly as if he had discovered the biggest secret. Nathalia didn't want to argue with him as she knew he would not listen. However, she still didn't understand how things changed.

"It doesn't work? What do you mean? You are an arrogant one today." Nathalia doubted.

Spencer was in a very good mood today. He smiled brightly and answered, "You made me arrogant." He teased.

"I beg your pardon?!" Nathalia snapped. I didn't do anything.

Spencer stroked Nathalia's hair gently, "Well, based on the will you wrote, you pretty much see me as your legal partner, or shall I say, your husband?" To leave all her property to him, even her dream of revenge. It hurt him to read the will she wrote. How she had prepared herself for the possibility of dying young and how she would rather die than give in.

At the same time, he was comforted to learn that he was the one she could trust, and it meant that he was important to her.

Nathalia blushed immediately, "Nonsense." It's merely because, because... because I trust you. That's it.

Spencer watched her feeling embarrassed and giggled happily. He found her extraordinarily cute and loving with her rosy cheeks.

Spencer drove Nathalia back to her flat after they landed in Miami. "Thanks for taking me home. Good night." Nathalia said politely and was about to walk in through the gate. But Spencer was still holding her hand. "Would you like to invite me for tea or coffee at your place?" He suggested. He was curious to see Nathalia's place.

"I'm quite tired. Perhaps next time. See you. Wait, Spencer, what are you doing? I didn't invite you..." Nathalia refused again, but Spencer ignored her and intended to invite himself in.

"You can't get in. You don't live here. Come back. Don't be so embarrassing." Nathalia almost shouted. The security guards did always do their job and made sure that anyone entered or exited was someone that lived there, or questions and registration were a must.

Spencer ignored Nathalia and walked towards the gate and was indeed stopped by the guard. "Excuse me, Sir. I'm afraid you need to register to go..." However, before the guard finished his words, he realized that it was Spencer Davidson that he was talking to, and he exclaimed excitedly, "Oh, it's Mr. Spencer Davidson. It's such an honor to meet you in person!"

Who wouldn't recognize his face?

Spencer smiled to the guard politely, then waved to Nathalia, who was running after him and said, "I'm just walking my girlfriend home. Can I go in, please?"

As soon as the guard saw that it was Nathalia, his eyes glowed. Wow! Are they back together again? What exciting news!

The guard nodded immediately and said, "Of course. Of course. Please come in."

"Huh?" Nathalia watched the guard let Spencer in and was surprised, "How can you let him in? He doesn't live here. Who takes responsibility if anything happens? Shouldn't you think of the safety of the people living here?"

The poor guard was confused. Didn't Mr. Spencer Davidson say she's his girlfriend? Why? Maybe they just had an argument? Possibly.

"But it's Mr. Spencer Davidson. He's not a stranger." He defended himself, and out of curiosity, he asked tentatively, "Miss Nathalia Carter, you and, and, Mr. Spencer Davidson are back together?" Rich kids' kind of love. No consistency. Just like a soap opera. They aren't serious about the relationship. But I have to say, and these two look like a couple. One handsome, the other pretty. A good match.

Spencer smiled again and was about to say something when Nathalia glared at him and said defeatedly, "No. we are not. I don't know him very well."

Spencer shrugged his shoulders helplessly with a face that said: "Well, what can I do?" Just then, someone was about to walk past them, and suddenly he stopped and exclaimed, "Nathalia! You are back! How are you? Is everything ok?"

It was Matt, the usual good-looking and charming Matt, though he seemed a bit exhausted. The smile on his face was out of pure delight and relief, seeing that Nathalia was safe home.

Nathalia felt touched and smiled brightly, "Matt, don't worry. I'm good. I just had a little holiday in Europe." She said jokingly. Somehow, her tone implied a closeness between them, and Spencer heard it straightaway.

Instantly and naturally, he put his arm around Nathalia's shoulder and teased, "When did you two become friends?" The jealousy in his words was apparent, and it sent Nathalia speechless. She tried to push his arm off her again, and again she failed. A helpless frown appeared between her eyebrows, and she said to Matt, "Please just ignore him. This is what he's like."

Spencer glanced at Matt coldly and retorted, "What am I like? My girl is growing close to some guy. Isn't it normal that I should be a bit jealous?"

Matt watched the couple and felt pain in his chest. My girl? Is she his girl?

Upset, annoyed and embarrassed, Nathalia blushed and scolded, "Spencer Davidson, don't be ridiculous and make me angry. Please leave."

Spencer stroked her rosy cheeks, thinking how cute you are! And cheekily, he said, "I haven't had my tea yet. I'm not ready to leave."

Nathalia took a glance at him frustratingly. Who would believe that the famous Spencer Davidson is behaving like a stubborn kid?
