131 Chapter 131: This Is Not Good

As soon as she opened the door, Matt greeted her with a package. The lovely smell of food. "Hey, Matt. Good morning." Nathalia said, surprised, and in a hurry.

Matt put the package in her hands, "Here's your breakfast. Enjoy, and have a good day." He said and left, not giving Nathalia any time to digest or say no.

Nathalia stared at the food, confused. "Matt, you don't need to..." she suddenly acknowledged what happened and shouted after him. But Matt had walked into the lift. He waved goodbye as the door closed.

This is not good. Nathalia thought.

As soon as she got to university, Nathalia could sense that people were looking at her differently. They were murmuring something and pointing at her, though she didn't care. As usual, she believed that she would only do what she was supposed to do and leave the rest to others. Her focus in university was academy and study.

During the break, Nathalia went to the toilet and was greeted by a few weirdly dressed, punky-looking girls.

As soon as they saw Nathalia, they gathered around behind her. "Nathalia Carter, we heard that you were kidnapped and tortured. How are you?"

"What did those bad guys do to you? Don't worry. Tell us, and we will help you."

"You look like you've lost some weight. You must have suffered a lot."

They seemed to be saying kind words to Nathalia, but she could tell the meaning behind their words. She didn't even turn around to look at them. She took her time, washed her hands, and said casually, "Girls, you have too much time to care about me. Also, taking pleasure out of others' misery isn't a nice thing to do."

The girls exchanged looks, and their faces turned bitter. "How rude you are! We are just worried about you." Everyone has heard the news. Is she still trying to deny it?!

Nathalia despised them and found them time-wasting. She swung her hands and splashed water on them, so they had to back off. "Thank you for your concern. Goodbye."

She walked away like an elegant princess without taking a look at any of them. Her confidence and persona demanded obedience and respect. The girls stood there, silent till Nathalia left.

"Huh. See how arrogant she is. She will regret it soon. I heard that she was really fucked up this time, and those guys have taken pictures of her naked..."

"Really? Wow. And she's still so arrogant!"

"She's just faking it. You know what. My dad works in the company. We know what's happening. She has totally fallen out with her dad. She will be punished, for sure..."

Bang. Someone pushed the door open. The girls gasped. It was Nathalia, standing at the door, looking at them coldly.

Their faces went pale. "You, you come back?"

One of the girls shouted back, angrily, "We are not idiots. You are an idiot! Your whole family is idiots!" Nathalia waved her phone at her to imply that she had recorded it. Casually, she said, "I will have Mr. Frank Carter listen to what you said. Your father works for him, right? I'm sure Mr. Frank Carter will love it."

The girl's face went pale. She stomped her feet and yelled, "Wait, Nathalia Carter..." Nathalia walked away with a smile.

The bell rang, and it announced the day's classes were over. Outside, the campus parked various expensive cars, awaiting the lucky students. The one that caught most people's attention was the Rolls-Royce Sweptail.

A middle-aged couple stood by the car, the man, tall and handsome, with the look of a successful smart businessman, while the woman, elegantly and expensively dressed, beautiful and fit. The sight of them with the Sweptail wasn't something that one could resist staring at.

Nathalia walked out of the campus to see groups of people gather around the gate, wondering if there was a superstar or something.

Just then, the couple walked through the crowd towards Nathalia. It was Frank and Ann. Nathalia was stunned. What do they want? It must be them that spread the rumors.

Frank hurried towards Nathalia, took her hand, looked her up and down with a worried face, and said gently, "Nathalia, how have you been? I couldn't sleep or eat while you were missing. I had nightmares every night. I've been so worried. Thank god. You are back. Don't you worry now, dad is here? Everything will be fine."

What a loving father! Nathalia felt disgusted.

She wanted to withdraw her hands from him, but she decided to wait a little longer and watch what was going to happen.

Ann came closer to Nathalia, tears in her eyes, looking terribly upset, "Oh, Nathalia, it was just a nightmare. Don't think about it too much. My poor girl. You have suffered so much."

The crowd was shocked to see such a scene. Didn't they say that Nathalia Carter has fallen out with her father and they even met in court? What's this about now?

Could it be that Nathalia Carter has been in great trouble this time, and her father pities her and wants to make it up for her? If so, that's great.

Nathalia pouted her lips and sneered.

Frank sighed, again and again, sounding worried and concerned. "Nathalia, you don't look very well. Dad will take you to the hospital and have the best doctor to check."

Nathalia withdrew her hands immediately and put them in her pockets. "I'm fine. I don't need to go to the hospital. Thank you. Now, please leave." You want to take me to the hospital so that you can do anything you want, and I will probably die without knowing how. Nathalia had not forgotten how her mother died.

Tears ran down Frank's cheeks, and he sobbed, "Nathalia, you are my daughter. Please. I apologize. Forgive dad, won't you? Please. I love you." It wasn't common to see a man pleading, and it wasn't just any man. It was from Frank Carter.

The crowd was moved. Frank Carter, a successful man who could have anything he wanted, was now begging his daughter. How could it not be touching?
