133 Chapter 133: He Plotted The Whole Thing

Spencer Davidson is supposed to be my son-in-law, the man for my Evette. You bitch stole him. She thought furiously.

Impatiently, Spencer retorted, "I don't know if you believe in Karma, but a parent who hurts and even intends to kill their child is definitely inhumane." Again, sharp and straight to the bull's eye. The crowd was impressed and shocked. Yet, there wasn't anything that Spencer would be afraid to say to the Cater couple.

Nathalia felt a sensation of warmth flow through her body, the feeling of being protected and supported, while Frank was suffering from suffocating anger, his temples pulsing, and his neck red. However, with the crowd watching, he dared not confront Spencer much. Instead, he swallowed his anger and pride and said submissively, "Mr. Spencer Davidson, we understand that you are someone with fame and fortune, but Nathalia is our daughter, she's part of the Carters. And she had just had a terrible experience. We want to take her home and take care of her. What's wrong with that?"

Every word was like a stone thrown at Spencer, and it enraged him more as Franks carried on talking. What do you mean by she had a terrible experience? What are you trying to tell people? Insulting Nathalia. How dare you?!

Spencer could not bear to allow anyone to hurt Nathalia, anyone. He snapped, "What's wrong with that?! Everything's wrong! You are scum! How dare you insult Nathalia in public? How can you be so sure that she was insulted when she was gone missing? Where did you hear it from? Or you knew from the very beginning?"

Now the crowd was all ears, excited, wondering, guessing, analyzing. It wasn't a scene one got to see every day.

Some spectators thought if a girl got insulted, their parents would try to avoid mentioning it in public, but the Carter couple were shouting it out loud. Ann realized the situation had turned the wrong way, she quickly jumped in to help Frank, "Mr. Spencer Davidson, isn't it obvious? It's not difficult to understand. I mean Nathalia is a young and pretty girl, so of course, those filthy kidnappers would do it to..."

The implied message that Nathalia was surely insulted was well received by the crowd, and it didn't escape Spencer's ears. Enraged, Spencer glared at her and said, "Did you see what happened? Were you there? Or you know, because you've had that kind of experience before? I'm afraid we have let you down because I've promised myself that no one can hurt Nathalia, and I keep my promise. The fact is that Nathalia wasn't hurt or insulted at all, and she's now back, safe and sound."

No one dared to challenge the truth of his words. He defended Nathalia with pride. No one would like to mess with Spencer Davidson.

Like others, Frank didn't want to go against Spencer. He was irritated and annoyed, wondering what he could do as the arrival of Spencer had turned the whole scene around. Suddenly, he came up with an idea.

"Nathalia is my favorite daughter. I don't allow any injustice to happen to her. Before you sort out your family issue, please leave my daughter alone." Frank said righteously.

Disgusting! Nathalia thought, astonished by his pretentiousness.

Spencer sneered and mocked, "What a loving father you are! So touching. By the way, thanks to you, Nathalia and I are back together."

Frank dropped his jaw, "Thanks to me? What do you mean?"

Spencer looked at him with a cold smile, "If you had not plotted the whole kidnapping incident, I would not have the chance to play the role of the hero saving my beautiful queen. So I'm very grateful for the opportunity you offered."

The crowd was again shocked. "My goodness!"

"He plotted the whole thing?"

"A father kidnapping his own daughter?"

"What the hell? How is that possible?"

"What is he? So cruel. This doesn't make sense at all."

Though the Carter had long left a notorious impression on the public, this time, they had created a new record. It was another level.

The corners of Nathalia's lips curved up slightly, and she lowered her head down to hide her smile from the crowd while thinking, you asked for it, and you deserve it

Eyes wide open, cheeks red, Frank shouted back angrily, "Mr. Spencer Davidson, please watch what you say. Why would I ever kidnap my own daughter? It's impossible and nonsensical."

Frank had committed quite a great deal of sins that one would not like to know and that he was proud of, but this was the first time that it got backfired.

The sneer remained on Spencer's face. He said calmly and coldly, "Why? Here's why. First, you hate Nathalia. You hate her for suing you. Second, you want to keep all her shares. Third, you covet the heritage Nathalia got from her grandfather. Some people would do anything for money, and I'm sure you know exactly what I mean."

The reasons made sense to the listeners. Murmurs grew more and more intense in the crowd. Frank and Ann looked at each other, both looking torn and twisted. They were expecting to put on a good show themselves, but it was nothing as expected.

Sadness and pain were written on Nathalia's face. She said sadly, "Dad, no wonder you were acting so nice to me. I'm too naïve. I thought you had really changed and you really wanted to make it up. I was so happy and excited, but I'm wrong again." She let out a deep sigh of disappointment.

A delightful light sparkled in Spencer's eyes. Clever girl. He thought proudly. "Silly girl. Of course, they were pretending to be nice to you. It was just a show. If they could, I can't imagine what they would have done to you long ago. Don't ever fall into their trap again, Nathalia."

Frank's face went pale, terrified, he said in a trembling voice, "No, that's not true. Nathalia, you have to believe dad."

Ann persuaded gently, "Nathalia, your dad, and I really want to make it up for you. We don't want any more fights. We are a family, and families should be together."

It was shocking that the Carter couple was still trying to pretend and act. However, it was too late for them to gain any trust from the crowd. Spencer sneered and said, "By the way, I've heard that Mr. Frank Carter had made an effort to take the trip to court and requested to cancel the sentence, using the excuse that Nathalia was gone missing. You really want to keep those shares, don't you? You should have been a bit more patient, though. I guess you didn't expect that Nathalia is still alive."

Like a bomb, it exploded, loud and sudden. The truth was now revealed. Their masks were torn off in front of the crowd.
