186 Chapter 186: Why Did They Meet Here?

The shop assistant knitted her brows and didn't know what to do. I can't displease either of them.

"Quick. We are taking this dress and the other two over there. Didn't you hear me?" Amy almost yelled at the shop assistant.

Awkwardly, the shop assistant said to Mrs. Davidson, "Miss, do you..."

Mrs. Davidson snapped, "I will take it."

Amy glared at Mrs. Davidson and said, "I saw it first! I'm taking it!"

How Nathalia wished she could take Mrs. Davidson away now. "You know who saw it first. We are in a hurry. Please, can we try it on now?" She ignored Amy and hurried the assistant, who nodded, "Sure."

However, Amy quickly snatched the dress from the shop assistant and yelled, "I'm your VIP customer. I say I want this dress and I will have it."

Nathalia observed Mrs. Davidson and Nancy and wasn't sure what to think. They are acting like strangers. Perhaps they have never met before? Or they don't even know the existence of each other? Unlikely.

The shop assistant then recognized Amy, Amy from the Berrys, one of the wealthiest families in Miami, and she didn't want to upset an important custom.

"Madam, could you please let Miss Amy Berry have this dress?" the shop assistant asked Mrs. Davidson timidly.

Mrs. Davidson was for sure not pleased about it, and she was determined to win this little battle, but she found it too trivial for herself to do it, so she looked at Nathalia, who got her message straight away.

Nathalia heaved a silent sigh and said, "Why, are you worried that we don't have the money to pay?" She took out a card from her wallet, handed it to the shop assistant, and continued, "Here. It's an exclusive black card, unlimited credit. We can buy the whole shop if we want."

Nathalia wasn't a show-off person, but she had to play the game this time.

The shop assistant looked at Nathalia, then Amy, finding herself in an extremely awkward situation. Then, Nancy suddenly recognized Nathalia, remembering the night she was shouting and chasing Curt around in the house.

"Nathalia Carter, how arrogant you are! What a show-off! Look at you. The public should see this." Nancy barked.

Everyone was stunned. So they know each other! And it looks like they bear a grudge against each other.

Nathalia looked at Mrs. Davidson as calmly as she could and was surprised to see that she seemed oblivious. Doesn't she recognize her? She wondered.

Then she remembered that Mrs. Davidson had lost her memories. Silly me! I've forgotten about that. She can't even remember her husband, of course, she can't remember his mistress. Or perhaps they have never met. Anyway. That's a good thing.

"Huh. Even if it doesn't suit me, I want it." Nancy snapped. "Give it to me."

Amy suddenly let out a laugh and exclaimed disdainfully, "Hahaha, so you are Nathalia Carter. Your family is SOMETHING. All assholes. Hahaha."

"What are you then?" Nathalia looked at Amy steadily with contempt and retorted calmly. I didn't want to insult you in public, but now that you've started it, I shall play along.

Amy's jaw dropped, and she froze for a second as she didn't expect such a comeback from Nathalia. "I beg your pardon?!" she shouted furiously.

"Are you deaf?" Nathalia whispered deliberately and mockingly, wearing a sneer on her face. You asked for it.

Amy clenched her shaking fists as she yelled, "Bitch! You are such a Carter, just like your family, arrogant, insolent..."

You are the arrogant, insolent one. Look at the way you are shouting. What's wrong with this girl? Mrs. Davidson knitted her brows and thought, rather annoyed.

Just as Mrs. Davidson was about to say something, Nathalia replied casually, "You meet your description of the Carters better than me actually." And deliberately, Nathalia looked Amy up and down as a gesture to confirm her comment.

"Huh! Nathalia Carter, your family, is a disgrace, so are you. How dare you speak to me like this?" Then she turned to the shop assistant, "You have to choose, this bitch, or the Berrys and the Davidsons?"

The shop assistant didn't dare to utter a word, thinking it's true that the Carters don't have a say now, but Miss Nathalia Carter does.

The Davidsons? Mrs. Davidson lifted her eyebrows and wondered. "What have you got to do with the Davidsons?" she questioned.

Amy assumed that Mrs. Davidson was just Nathalia's friend. She glared at Mrs. Davidson and said, "Who are you, old granny? You'd better not get involved."

Old granny? Mrs. Davidson snapped, "Watch your mouth, little girl. Don't pretend to be the Davidsons when you are not. Your parents should be ashamed of you."

Upset and angry, Amy was almost in tears. She pulled Nancy's arm gently and, like a spoiled kid, she pleaded, "Nancy, help me, please. They are both attacking me."

Nancy lifted her chin up proudly as she said, "Amy, you will be marrying into our family soon and be Mrs. Davidson. Who dares not to respect you?"

Now Mrs. Davidson was truly confused. She reacted with a frown, "That's strange. I haven't heard such a thing. It doesn't make sense. Do you know Nathalia?"

Nathalia could partly figure out the story behind, and she didn't want to tell Mrs. Davidson. She muttered, "You know how some people just love to claim to be part of the respected families. Let's not waste time on these people. Shall we go?"

Praying that no more dramas would happen, Nathalia tried to get Mrs. Davidson out of the shop in case it got too complicated. Why today? Why did they meet here?

However, Mrs. Davidson was still thinking about the dress. "Well, let me get my dress first." Just as she was about to snatch it off Amy's hand, Amy suddenly tore the sleeves violently. Everyone gasped.

The shop assistant was almost in tears. Though she was terribly upset and annoyed, she didn't dare to shout at Amy, instead, she complained timidly, "Oh. Miss Berry, this dress is very expensive. Why did you do that?"

Amy chucked the dress on the floor and glared at Nathalia and Mrs. Davidson defiantly. "Don't you worry? I will pay you to double the price."
