231 Chapter 231: Seek Peace

It involved Spencer Davidson and the Davidson family. It wasn't a simple one. Vincent didn't want to displease either side. Smartly, he passed the question to Curt, and now Curt had to say something.

Curt is cold, and he can be cruel. I'm sure he will teach this kid a good lesson. Vincent thought excitedly.

Herman heaved a sigh of relief as he was very pleased with his father's move. Dad always has the best solution.

Mrs. Davidson was holding Nathalia's hand, anxiously. Who knows what Curt's thinking? I've never managed to understand him. Pray, he won't do anything bad to Nathalia.

Nathalia was the calmest one. It's not the first time anyway. She thought.

To everyone's surprise, Curt reacted casually, "Peace is the answer. We are all a family. Let's forgive and forget."

The Berry family's jaws dropped. What?! Forgive and forget? That's it? No way!

We are all a family. That means he sees Nathalia Carter as his daughter-in-law? Or is he being obviously biased? That's not good at all.

Amy was furiously disappointed. She felt humiliated and ashamed, yet Matt and Curt Davidson didn't see it as anything worth mentioning. They didn't care at all.

"Mr. Davidson, do you actually intend to accept her as your daughter-in-law?! I don't want to have anything to do with her. It's a shame. She's a humiliation." Amy screamed ecstatically.

Kelly quickly stood up to support Amy, holding her arms, hoping to calm her down. "Mr. Curt Davidson, my little sister, has never ever been insulted like this. Don't you think you are being rather unfair here? I believe she deserves more than just a 'forgive and forget'.

That inspired Nathalia. She opened her handbag, with everyone watching attentively, took out a little purse and a few hundred dollar bills.

What is she doing? Everyone wondered curiously. Before they could figure out, Nathalia threw the bills onto Amy's face. "You feel shamed? Here, this will buy you a bit of dignity." She said with apparent disdain.

She was proud, confident, even aggressive. I don't give a damn even if you have a whole army with you. Huh. Shame?! Now, this is what real shame is!

The Berry family were utterly astonished. All lost their tongues. My god. What the hell is she? She's absolutely out of order!

Tension filled the air, yet somehow Curt Davidson couldn't help finding it amusing. He almost failed to hide it. Brilliant. Ha. She's wild.

Amy was shaking with fury. Desperately, she held up her arm and went for Nathalia, "Ahhh, fuck you..."

Nathalia stood there, watching calmly and teasingly, her arms folded, her head tilted to one side. She had no intention of dodging or defending physically.

Matt leaned forward subconsciously, but somehow, he sat back down.

Before Amy threw a punch at Nathalia, she was stopped by a bodyguard, who reacted quickly and grabbed her arms tight. Like a madwoman, Amy bit and kicked, scratched and screamed. She had totally lost control of her emotions.

The bodyguard didn't dare to hurt her and was scratched to bleeding. It didn't look very comforting. Even the Berry family were scared to see such a scene. Mrs. Berry and Kelly tried to approach Amy but was pushed away. It turned chaotic.

Nathalia leaned against the wall. There seemed to be an amused smile on her face. "Mr. Curt Davidson, are you sure this mad woman is fit to be part of the Davidson family?"

Nathalia knew that the Berry sisters would not let her off. Instead of waiting passively for them to take advantage of her, she decided to teach them a lesson to warm them off first. She had to make it clear to them that she wasn't weak, that she wasn't one to be bullied.

The Berry family was fuming with anger. How come she made it like she's the innocent one and Amy a bully. This is ridiculous!

Vincent Berry had to explain with an awkward smile, "Mr. Davidson, our Amy has never behaved like this before. She's a very sweet and lovable girl. Nathalia Carter is outrageous. She's really humiliated, my daughter..." Meanwhile, he winked at his wife, implying her to calm their daughter down. We've lost face. Huh. Hasn't she noticed that Matt's looking displeased?

Mrs. Berry got the hint. Worried she was, yet she couldn't even approach Amy. I'm her mother, and I can't even tolerate her behavior, let alone Curt and Matt Davidson. The last thing we want is Matt Davidson disliking her.

Then she got an idea. Furiously, she yelled at Nathalia, "Nathalia Carter, you are crossing the line. Mr. Davidson, Amy has always been the princess of the family. She's never ever been humiliated like this..."

Yeah. I know what you are trying to do here. Nathalia thought and sneered. She cut her short, "So? Does she have the right to humiliate others? She's the princess of the family, so she sees others as her slaves?" With all that Nathalia had experienced, the hard times, especially, she had grown a much stronger person, mentally and spiritually. I seek peace whenever I can. And when they don't allow peace, I give them a war more destructive than they ever expect.

Mrs. Davidson was speechless. She failed to find a word to retort. Kelly jumped in to support, "Huh! Look how arrogant you are! It's only because you have Spencer Davidson on your back. You are nothing without him. Amy and I have our parents' love. We have a family. You are abandoned and unloved..." She said it with such disdain. Every word went into Nathalia's heart like a sharp knife poking her old wound.

Nathalia's face turned pale. It was too sudden. The old memories rushed back like a violent flood, and she felt drowning. Who could bear the loss of their mother at a young age and the later discovery of a murderous father?
