249 Chapter 249: You Are Mine

Spencer heaved a sigh of relief and said with a smile, "Correct, and everything that I have is yours too as long as you are happy."

It brought a big smile to Nathalia's face. It feels so good to be loved and have someone to share, be it pain or joy. I'm not alone anymore.

The sun shone brightly. Nathalia took out the ring and put it under the sunlight. It was a beautiful piece, with incredible patterns. "It's beautiful. I really like it." She said happily.

Spencer put it on her right middle finger, and it fits perfectly. "It's protection. It will protect you." And It did make Nathalia feel safe and loved.

The newlyweds enjoyed their honeymoon wonderfully and passionately.

Back in Miami, Matt had officially changed his family name to Davidson and taken over the Davidson E-Net Group. His capability, friendliness, and humbleness had won him praise and approval from other shareholders as well as his staff. He had even gained a very good reputation around the business circle, seen as the new superstar with great potential and a bright future, as excellent as his brother, Spencer.

Matt rarely responded to people's comments, spending most of his time in the company and avoiding appearance in public, which made the media even more curious. They awaited him outside the company all day just to get a brief chance to ask him a few questions when he finished work.

Most of the time, he worked till midnight, studying hard, learning management, and anything related to running the company. The journalists usually waited in vain, though they did get lucky now and then.

It was unusual, but Matt decided to leave early today. When he walked out of the company door, it was around six. A group of journalists quickly gathered around him.

"Mr. Matt Davidson, how do you feel about being accepted as a Davidson finally?"

Matt was a bit taken aback by the question at first, but quickly composed himself and said confidently with a friendly smile, "I'm grateful and glad that now I can be who I really am and have my true identity accepted by the public." His earnestness was felt by the crowd. Instead of accusing or despising him as the son of a mistress, people showed him respect and pity.

It wasn't his choice to be born the way he was. It wasn't his choice to decide who his parents were. Ever since he was born, he was not allowed to call his father 'father,' as any normal kid could.

A female journalist asked kindly, "Was life difficult in the past years?"

Matt shook his head and said positively, "Not really. My father has always looked after me. I never lacked money, so I didn't have to worry about that."

Looking at his handsome face and hearing his kind words, the journalist was touched and felt sorry for Matt. "What's the use of money from a father when he doesn't love you?" She said quietly.

The crowd turned to look and recognized the pretty face. "Isn't that Amy Berry? Some say you two are getting engaged soon, is that so?"

Amy got out of the car, smiled, and answered immediately, "It IS indeed. Both of our parents have met and had a serious discussion about it."

Some were jealous while some were happy for them, but all showed their respect and said, "Congratulations."

"I wonder if you will move into the Davidson Mansion or move to a new home when you two get married." Someone asked curiously.

"We will see," Amy said playfully.

Matt knitted his brows but didn't utter a word. He let Amy talk, which she enjoyed doing anyway.

Talking about the Davidson Mansion, surely the crowd all thought of Mrs. Davidson, The mysterious woman, the luckiest and unluckiest woman. She was lucky to marry one of the most powerful and successful men in the world, to have a son so talented and competent. Yet, unfortunately, like a lot of successful men, her husband showed her no loyalty nor respect, sleeping with any woman he liked. He had hardly taken the responsibility as a husband.

"How are you getting along with your brother?" A journalist asked. There were talks about the two brothers fighting for family property, which was understandable if one thought about the sum of money the Davidsons owned.

Matt looked calm and said gently, "Very well."

"You used to be very close to Miss Nathalia Carter. How is it now? Is it awkward now that she's engaged to your brother?" Someone said randomly.

Everyone picked up their ears. One never got bored by the topic of relationship, or to be exact the gossips.

Before Matt answered, Berry, cut in furiously, "Nonsense. There's nothing between Nathalia Carter and my Matt. Ridiculous rumors." Her anger and overreaction led the group to more suspicion.

"What do you say, Mr. Matt Davidson?" The crowd pursued.

"Nathalia and I are friends," Matt said casually.

Friends? The crowd exchanged looks in disbelief. Some went on asking more questions, but Matt assured them that they were just friends.

"What do you think of Miss Nathalia Carter?" One of the journalists changed strategy.

Matt thought for a little while and said, "She's smart, strong-minded, brave and real." Though his tone was calm, he was genuinely and obviously praising Nathalia, from his heart.

Amy stared at him, jealously. Who am I to him? How can he talk about that girl in public just like that?

"It sounds like you think highly of her. What about Miss Amy Berry then? How do you compare them?" The journalist went on.

Matt smiled and said, "Compare them? One can't compare them." Now the journalists didn't know what to think. Does he mean Nathalia Carter is too good to be compared? Or does he mean Amy Berry?

"Can you be a bit more specific and explain, please?"

Amy was growing more and more furious, but she managed to keep her smiley face on and interrupted, "Alright. Alright. Matt and I are getting married soon. Isn't it disrespectful to ask such trivial questions? If you keep on asking silly questions, I'm afraid I won't invite you to our wedding."

"Ha-ha. Miss Amy Berry has got a good sense of humor."

As some of them were about to ask more questions, someone exclaimed, "Look, it's Mr. Spencer Davidson's car."

"He's back."

Everyone had heard that Spencer had argued with his father because of Matt and had taken a holiday abroad.
