291 Chapter 291: What’s The Logic Here?

Yet, no one uttered a word. They had learned that Nathalia was the one in charge, and they were here just to watch. Sadly, Anna hadn't realized it yet.

One of Nathalia's bodyguards was holding Anna so that she couldn't move. She shouted a few curses, but no one paid her attention.

Nathalia pouted her lips, thought for a few seconds, and went into the bathroom. When she came out, she had a bucket of water in her hands, and mercilessly, she splashed the water at Spencer. He was soaking wet. Everyone gasped.

Slowly, Spencer moved his heavy head and opened his eyes. As soon as he saw Nathalia, he sat straight up. "Babe, what happened? Why are you angry? Who upset you?" He asked worriedly, and only then did he feel his head aching terribly.

Nathalia made no reply. Spencer wanted to hug her, but Nathalia moved away instantly. What's the matter? Why is she upset? He wondered.

The crowd noticed the oddness in Spencer's reaction.

"Silly Spencer!" Nathalia replied finally and hit his shoulder with a little angry punch. It didn't really hurt Spencer, but it did shock him. Did I upset her?

He still had no idea what happened, and his terribly aching head didn't help.

Anna somehow freed herself from the bodyguard and threw herself into Spencer's arms. "Oh, Spencer. Spencer. I know it's my fault, but I couldn't help it. I love you. I'm so glad we did it..." she said pitifully.

"We did it?!" Spencer pushed her away instantly, and Anna felt over. What did the hell happen? He then looked down at himself and was shocked to see himself naked and quickly covered himself with the blanket.

"Babe, listen to me. I didn't do anything unfair to you. Please trust me. Nothing happened, I swear!" He looked at Nathalia pleadingly. Shit, they set me up! Aunt Emma! Why? I trusted her.

Just then, aunt Emma appeared at the door, wearing a black silk dressing gown, "What is it? I heard some commotion and thought I would come and check."

When she saw the group of people, her jaw dropped. Anna stumbled over and hugged aunt Emma, sobbing, "Oh, aunt Emma, what am I to do? Spencer won't admit it. We did it, but he won't admit it. It's my first time. Oh..."

What a horrible bitch! The crowd thought.

Aunt Emma stroked Anna's head and said calmly, "Anna, don't cry. I know Spencer. He won't just leave you like this."

At the sight of Emma, Spencer narrowed his eyes, and his face turned stern. Why did she do that? Why?

Aunt Emma acted like she was completely innocent. Righteously, she said, "Spencer, you are an honest man, and you can't just deny it. You are responsible for what you've done..."

Anna burst out crying. Is this all I get? Aunt Emma was taken aback for a bit and quickly composed herself. "So you did it when you were drunk. It's not an excuse. You will still take your responsibility, won't you?"

Wow. She sounds so righteous! What's the logic here?

What responsibility? Ask Spencer Davidson to divorce his wife and marry this bitch? The journalists found it ridiculous.

Spencer glared at aunt Emma for a while without saying a word. He heard himself say in his head that 'I don't want to see her pretentious face anymore.' A bitter smile appeared on his face. He turned to Nathalia, and very helplessly, he said, "Nathalia, I didn't do it."

There was nothing else he could say. It sounded like a plea and a silent explanation. I've promised that I will love her and protect her, that I will never let her get hurt. Yet, now it was me that had hurt her. Will she ever forgive me?

Nathalia replied calmly and clearly, "We need to prove it." As if he had seen hope, he answered instantly, "I will do whatever you want to prove it. You know me, I've never wasted a glance at someone like her. She's a pathetic bitch." He glared at Anna with disdain.

Anna's face went pale. "Spencer, but, but, you said I'm prettier than her. You said I make you happy..." she said with a trembling voice.

Nathalia totally ignored Anna and kept her eyes on Spencer. "You will do whatever I ask you, right?"

"Yes." Spencer looked her into her eyes, remorsefully.

Nathalia nodded and turned around and said to a man in a white shirt and a woman in a pale blue dress, both carrying a box with the sign of a red cross on, "Dr. Cooper and Dr. Jones, please go ahead."

The crowd then recognized the two best-known doctors in town. What is Mrs. Nathalia Davidson planning? She's even got the doctors here.

"Sure. Mrs. Nathalia Davidson." Dr. Cooper said.

"We are going to have a check on Mr. Spencer Davidson. Will you please excuse us?"

Nathalia turned around to leave, and everyone followed. Anna and Emma refused to leave, but Spencer demanded them to.

Anna started to feel worried. "Nathalia, what the hell are you doing?"

Nathalia sat herself down on an armchair in the living room. She replied calmly as she played with her hair casually, "Why? To make sure that Spencer should take responsibility. That's what you asked for, right?"

Anna was even more confused now. What has it got to do with the body-check?

Then Nathalia noticed the shirt Anna was wearing, and she knitted her brows. "Take off the shirt and give it back to me." She recalled buying the shirt for Spencer when they went shopping together once.
