301 Chapter 301: I’ve Missed You

He paused and blushed. Nathalia noticed and found him lovely. "You have indeed!" she said, pretending to sound a bit angry.

Spencer blushed even more. He coughed a bit and continued, "But I promise it won't happen again."

"You'd better do," Nathalia said firmly, still pretending to be serious. "If it happens again, I won't forgive you so easily."

"Oh, but does that mean you've forgiven me now?" Spencer asked quickly, rather excited and feeling hopeful.

Nathalia looked at him in his eyes and didn't reply. Once again, Spencer blushed, feeling guilty again. "Babe, I assure you that it won't happen again. I was stupid. What you have done is so brave. I'm proud of you. And, and, I'm ashamed of myself." He looked down on the floor, like a guilty puppy, hoping to be forgiven.

Nathalia couldn't help giggling. Startled, Spencer looked up, and when he saw her laughing, he felt relieved. "You are laughing. I guess you, err, you have forgiven me then?" He asked tentatively and extended his hand to take Nathalia's.

Nathalia pouted her lips again and squeezed Spencer's hand as if to say that she was now giving him his punishment.

"Squeeze harder," Spencer said. Though Nathalia did try hard, the pain was easily bearable to Spencer. "I deserve to be punished. I've hurt you. From now on, I will do whatever you tell me to do. You are the boss. I've been proud. My parents never had time for me, and I have always been allowed to do whatever I want without thinking much of the consequences. But, now, now, I have you. Babe, you will help me and guide me, won't you?"

Thinking that he had had a lonely childhood, Nathalia couldn't help feeling empathetic. She released her squeeze and held his hand gently. Looking at him affectionately, she smiled and raised her glass.

Spencer heaved a sigh of relief and said happily, "I've missed your smile so much! I've missed you, everything about you. I couldn't sleep at night."

"But, you never came to talk to me or see me!" Nathalia retorted.

Spencer blushed, looked away, and said quietly, "I felt ashamed. I was worried that you would reject me. I needed some time, you know. But I did miss you terribly." He recalled how she had pushed him away in the hotel room and how much it hurt.

"Silly Spencer," Nathalia whispered and leaned over to give him a kiss.

They had agreed to forgive and forget. Lunch was served, and Nathalia enjoyed it immensely. So did Spencer, especially seeing how much Nathalia liked it.

Instead of going back to work as usual after lunch, Spencer showed Nathalia another surprise. He drove her to a quiet area, just a few blocks from the city center.

Nathalia wandered about, amazed by the flowers and trees. "Is this someone's garden? It's beautiful!"

Spencer picked a rose and handed it to Nathalia, "It's our home. Do you like it?"

It wasn't the villa that Curt gave them. It was one that Spencer spent time looking around and carefully chose with love. It was not far from the city center, but far enough to be safe from the noises of the bustling city and traffic, definitely the best residential area in Miami. There are around twenty villas in the area and all occupied by political leaders or superstars, people of fame and fortune, so the security was surely taken care of, which Spencer cared about the most.

The flat they had now was a bit small, especially when they had kids later on. Spencer didn't like the design much either. After what happened, he was worried that Nathalia would escape back to her flat if they ever argued again.

Nathalia's face lit up. She took the flower, gave it a gentle sniff. "I love it here! Oh, Spencer, this is perfect! There's a swing, a pool, a garden!" She gave him a hug excitedly and quickly ran to the swing.

Birds were chirping happily. Flowers and leaves swayed in the breeze delightfully. Spencer pushed Nathalia on the swing, and she giggled as the swing took her up and down.

Everything's so beautiful here! And I'm with the man I love. Nathalia thought happily.

When Nathalia came off the swing, Spencer took her hand and said, "Come. Let me show you our new home."

The house was of a simple and elegant design, allowing lots of sunlight in. On the first floor, there was a living room, a kitchen, a dining room, and a bathroom. It was all open, with no walls or doors separating the rooms except the bathroom. It was spacious, and the décor made it look cozy.

On the second floor, there were two bedrooms with individual bathrooms and a living room in between. The third floor contained a large bedroom with a bathroom and a study. It was apparently designed for the couple. The bedroom was Nathalia's favorite. She loved that the walls were painted in a cozy beige color, the wooden furniture, the big and tall French windows, and there was a balcony with a view of the garden.

"How do you know this is the room I like?!" She exclaimed excitedly, walking about the room, and stroking every item with love.

Spencer was more excited than Nathalia, seeing how happy she was. "You are my wife. How can I not know?!" He said with a grin.

Nathalia paused by the dressing table, looking at a delicate jewel box. This is the box that was in the audition recently. I remember seeing it on TV by chance. It was sold at a price of one million dollars. Nathalia thought as she stroked the box, feeling the lines on the sandalwood.
