323 Chapter 323: It’s Dangerous

Surprised, Nathalia quickly turned around, "Huh? Why?"What does he want to tell me? And why me?

She patted Spencer on his shoulder and said, "Spencer, let me down, please."

"No. It's dangerous." Spencer refused. He only wanted to carry her to the car and get her home safe.

Nathalia rolled her eyes and said casually, "He can't even move now. There's no more danger."

Nathalia insisted, and Spencer had to agree at the end. Yet, instead of letting her down, he carried her towards the stout man.

The man heaved a heavy sigh and said, "You are a strange woman. Are you really not afraid of death?"She looks so delicate, yet she's shockingly brave. I have never met a woman like her. He gazed at Nathalia, amazed by her charm and beauty.

Spencer sensed the admiration in the man's tone and gaze, and he couldn't help feeling a bit jealous. My Nathalia's too charming!

Matt had not yet calmed down. Emotionally, he said to Spencer, "Spencer, how could you let Nathalia come here alone?! It's way too dangerous!"

Spencer sniffed contemptuously and ignored him. This is between Nathalia and me. It's none of your business.

Nathalia smiled at the stout man cheekily and asked one of the bodyguards to fetch the bombs. She threw the lighter to the bodyguard and said, "Light it."

Everyone gasped. The stout man shouted, "What are you doing? Are you crazy?" What the hell?! Shit!

The bodyguard looked at Spencer. Spencer nodded.

He ignited the fuse. Everyone watched nervously. They were too shocked to react, their eyes fixed at the sparks.

The cheeky smile remained on Nathalia's face.

"No, Nathalia, you can't do this," Sophie muttered. I don't want to die. No one replied. Seeing that it was about to explode, she closed her eyes and covered her ears with her hands. "Ah..." she screamed.

But there was silence. She waited for a bit longer, silence still. Then she opened her eyes only to see that the bombs did not explode at all. Huh? Why?

Nathalia giggled like a playful child and said, "It's fake. Hahaha. I tricked all of you."Spencer smiled proudly at her. It can be a bit stressful having a wife as excellent as her, but I'm so proud. She's unique and special. She's wild, brave, and at the same time gentle and loving.

Matt looked at them quietly and realized that he shouldn't have blamed Spencer. He loves her so much. Surely he won't allow her to get hurt.

The stout man felt useless and couldn't help finding it ridiculous. We have been played like fools by a young girl! Hahaha. What else can I say?!

Though the bombs were fake, the bravery that Nathalia showed was not. When she showed them her confidence and fearlessness, she was already winning.

Nathalia pouted her lips and replied casually, "I've been told."

"I can't believe it! I lost it to a woman!" The stout man muttered as the fact that he was defeated suddenly sank in.

Nathalia threw an impatient look at him. Come on. Are you really so shocked? Don't overreact.

She turned to Spencer and asked gently, "Honey, shall we go home? I'm starving." It had been so intense that she felt her body exhausted, and all she wanted was to feed her tummy and have a good rest afterward.

"Sure, babe. Let's go home and get your tummy fed." Spencer replied affectionately.

The stout man watched them walk away, and before they got to the gate, he shouted after them, "It's Amy Berry."

Spencer paused for a bit and moved on.

Matt closed his eyes in deep thought.

"What? No. Impossible. Why would she..." Sophie retorted in disbelief. Then she recalled what had happened earlier at the restaurant and felt a sudden fear. How can people be so evil?

Spencer heaved a sigh of relief as they got into the car. The night had slowly turned into day. The morning light glowed in the east. A new day. They both thought.

When they got home, Mrs. Davidson was sitting in the living room, waiting anxiously. Seated opposite her was Curt. Both were silent and worried.

Nathalia and Spencer looked at each other, surprised. What's going on here?

Mrs. Davidson turned around, saw them standing by the door, and jumped up. "Are you ok? Nathalia, is your friend safe? My goodness, how could you two do this to me? I've been sick worrying about you." There were tears in her eyes.

Spencer threw a reproachful look at Curt, assuming that it was him that had told his mother what happened. Yet before Spencer said anything, Curt scolded, "Spencer, Nathalia! Why the hell did you do that, huh? How could you risk your life like that? What are your bodyguards for? Why didn't you even talk to me first?"

It was obvious that he had also been worried.

Spencer sat down and retorted coldly, "Why should I talk to you?"

Curt was only worried, but now he was also furious. "Spencer, you are ridiculous! What if..."

You are the heir of the Davidsons! You are my son!

Without taking a look at his father, Spencer cut him short, "There's no if."

"Have you thought about your mother then?! How do you think she feels about it, huh?"

Nathalia was leaning on Spencer, drinking water to quench her thirst, but on hearing so, she quickly sat up and said gently, "Mum, we are so sorry for worrying you."

Spencer took the blame immediately and said, "It's my fault, mum..."

Mrs. Davidson glared at both of them angrily. "I don't want to talk to you two." She turned around so as not to look at them. Though she tried to sound angry, she was such a gentle person that her shout was merely a soft scold.

Nathalia went and sat next to Mrs. Davidson, leaned her head on her shoulder, and said gently, "Please, mum, don't be angry. And, and I'm so hungry. It was too exhausting. I was hoping you could make me some yummy food." She pleaded with a grin.
