392 Chapter 392: My Husband Is Waiting For Me

Nathalia felt so weak that she had to lean onto Lisa. She opened her mouth to try to speak, but no words came out. She slowly sat back down, helplessly.

"I'm sorry. Please try to stay calm. We are trying. We are doing the best we can..." The president tried to calm them down, though deep down, he knew that it wasn't hopeful.

Nathalia read his mind, and she felt a sudden rage. "You are trying your best?! What the fuck does that mean?! Huh?! What's..." she lost control of her emotions, and all of a sudden, she slapped herself on her face. It was so hard and loud that it echoed in the room. Everyone was stunned by her reaction while the pain stung Nathalia awake.

Lisa quickly embraced her. "Nathalia, hush, hush," she whispered to her ear gently. "Calm down, my girl, calm down."

"I am calm! My husband is not dead. I know. He's still alive." She looked fiercely determined as if she was suddenly possessed by some incredible strength.

"Mrs. Nathalia Davidson, I can understand how you feel, but..."

Nathalia threw an icy look at the president and said coldly, "Give me the location. I will go find him!"

Again, it stunned everyone.

"Err... are you..."

The crew, as well as Curt's assistants, had been working busily, each with two phones, a computer. All of a sudden, one of the assistants stood up and said with excitement, "Mr. Davidson, we found the location of Mr. Spencer Davidson's phone."

Chips had been inserted into Spencer's phone and a necklace he wore, which were connected to the satellites owned by the Davidsons. Everyone's face lit up. Curt placed an order immediately, "Get the helicopter ready. We are going to rescue my son. He's a brave and strong one. I know he will survive."

Nathalia follows Curt without hesitation. She couldn't just stay here and waited. It was too much torture to her. Sue wanted to come along, but she could barely stand up.

Curt persuaded her to stay. He looked at Matt, sincerely and said, "Matt, I trust you to take care of everything here. Look after Sue. I know you won't let me down."

Matt nodded. "I won't let you down, dad."

Nathalia's face said impatience. Every second count. Every second count. She repeated to herself.

Lisa knew it would be useless to try to ask Nathalia to stay. Once she had decided to do something, she took action. Worried, Lisa said, "I will come with you, Nathalia." This is when she needs support the most. Anything could happen. What if, what if Spencer... and she... Lisa didn't dare to think about the worst consequence.

It was true that there was a lot of work to do at the company, and she could hardly afford to be absent for one day, but she was too worried to allow Nathalia to go alone.

Sophie, who had been weeping, quietly asked meekly, "Mum, will you please let me go with Nathalia?" She was scared. She was scared of many things, scared of death, of losing Nathalia, of parting.

Nathalia had done so much for her. She had even saved her life. This is the time when I can do something for Nathalia. She thought to herself, and told herself to be brave, be strong for Nathalia.

Nathalia was rather taken aback as she had always thought Sophie to be a little girl protected by her mother, living an innocent life.

Lisa nodded, feeling proud of her daughter. "Yes. Take care of Nathalia and yourself. Remember to stay calm. Mum's always here for you two." Lisa thought it would be good for Nathalia to have someone to accompany her. She's very responsible. Perhaps having Sophie around will help her divert her attention a bit and stay calm.

"Yes, mum."

As they walked out of the VIP room, a few journalists rushed over with their cameras. "Mr. Curt Davidson, is it true that your son was in a plane crash?"

"What are you going to do with the company? Will your younger son take over instead?"

They asked all sorts of ridiculous questions. Curt looked stern and annoyed. The airline manager was stunned to see the journalists and quickly got his staff to get them out.

They were, however, very persistent. "We just want to know what happened to Mr. Spencer Davidson. Where is he?"

Nathalia looked at the questioner icily and said, "He's still alive. We are going to find him. Please excuse us." She didn't really dislike them usually, but she found them extremely annoying now.

"Mrs. Nathalia Davidson, do you mean you are joining the rescue team? Why don't you just wait at home?" The journalists were shocked, though they knew that Nathalia always took unexpected actions.

Nathalia bit her lips slightly and said, "My husband is waiting for me. I have to go."

They exchanged doubtful looks, and a certain female journalist asked unkindly, "Someone said you are cursed and you bring bad luck. It seems to be true. How do you feel about that?"

Nathalia had always been the girl that everyone was jealous of. Now all of a sudden, the perfect life she had seemed to have disappeared, and they pitied her.

Nonsense! Brainless! Lisa was so angry that she was about to retort when Nathalia replied clearly and icily, "I'm not cursed. I don't have any magical power to bring bad luck to people. Anyone who has a brain won't believe that sort of nonsense."
