Chapter 181 - Deluded

Li Feng and Chuan Nayi waited along with some other RS Moses psychics for the return of the RS Noah mediums. When they came, most of them were rather shaken and would chatter about these strange surging energies coming from somewhere that they couldn't tell. However, Ruan Jin only arrived minutes after the last one passed by the stairs. He saw the two and walked with them, his hand rubbing his nape.

"Where's Qiao Shan?" Li Feng stretched his neck to see if Ruan Jin just didn't bother to walk with her. However, Ruan Jin just made this strange sound of not knowing how to say something. Li Feng then glared at him before the horseman spoke: "Seven of us didn't report back on time. They were still going to look if people had died inside. It's just that… something kind of pulsed from somewhere..."

"You didn't run into her?" Li Feng frowned.

"Yeah, I have a feeling that we're on different floors. The RS Moses test earlier was only on one floor so it's easy to run into each other. As for us, we didn't seem to be all together in one. This one girl I ran to spoke to one of her friends, and the friend had to climb up the stairs to get out. Proves my point." Ruan Jin's face twitched as if containing his frustration as well. "Either way, I don't think Qiao Shan should be in trouble. Hop is a King."

Chuan Nayi reached out to tug on Li Feng's shirt. "Let's wait for now. It's not like we can look for her ourselves. Have a little faith in her." Even if she said this, she had her own doubts. That woman was after Liu Xiaodan after all. What if she didn't return for this test because she was busy navigating the Treatment Hall for him?

The black horse's foot only glowed inside Li Feng's pocket to calm him down. However, when he felt it in his pocket, he regretted not giving it to Qiao Shan. In the end, they could only hang out in the cafeteria instead of getting cooped up inside the shared room. Li Feng was on his drawing tablet while Ruan Jin was playing offline games on his phone. Chuan Nayi was reading a book that she had brought with her.

Out of all the participants, these three were the least frustrated by their time in the facility. While everyone was scared for their future, these three could only freely squander their time doing things on their own. The rest of the participants actually looked at them in different lights when they were speaking to the three and when not.

It was only on the surface though; they were only like this because they had no idea how to find Liu Xiaodan in a place that closed its parts during their tests. Perhaps there would be a time when the whole Hall was free to explore. Hidden within their calm exteriors were the excitement and agitation to finally speak to Liu Xiaodan face to face… perhaps also a chance to take him away.

"Ah, what happened to her?" The nurses and staff in the cafeteria were shocked when someone walked in. As if her gaze was enough to pull the attention of the three to her, she did nothing but stare at them. 

Li Feng's eyes widened in shock before rushing to get off of his seat. He ran to her in a hurry and held onto her arms like she was about to fall down. Ruan Jin came to them as well, but Chuan Nayi just waited at their table. The two boys couldn't say anything… but it was because they were a little terrified of Qiao Shan's appearance. Blood smeared on her body, and so her pink dress was tattered at some places.

The most important was her glaring eyes. She was angry, furious… vindictive… but her lips were pressed in a line. She wouldn't even talk. 

"Qiao Shan?" Li Feng called out for her name before Ruan Jin signaled him to take her to their table. Seeing no reaction from the girl, Li Feng picked her up from the floor and carried her to their table. He noticed how Ruan Jin asked for water, and so he just sat Qiao Shan at one of the seats. "Qiao Shan? Are you alright?"

"It dared to eat my Hop…" Qiao Shan's face twitched as if her anger was contorting it. She glared down at her curling fingers in pure rage, hissing like a madwoman. "I won't forgive it… I won't forgive it..."

"Something ate Hop?" Li Feng was shocked. Hop was already a King; did that mean that the Kings of the Treatment Hall were freed again? However, that didn't seem to line up. Qiao Shan wouldn't probably be acting like this. She was fairly scared of the Kings of the Treatment Hall after all.

Ruan Jin returned with a cup of water and a small bowl of fruits. "Here, the chef wants you to have this, Qiao Shan. Can you tell us what happened?"

The woman then eyed Ruan Jin like he was the only one who would understand… which was only because they both met the culprit. "Jin, without Hop, I won't be able to participate in the project anymore. So if you venture back into the Treatment Hall, kill that little girl. I don't care if you'll feel pity for her..."

Ruan Jin was horrified. There was only one little girl, and he was also aware that something was wrong with that Mo Xingli. Then again, he managed to pick up a few things from the seemingly possessed Qiao Shan. He frowned, "Mo Xingli also has a King companion. What can Ling do to her? Besides, if it ate Hop, it could only grow stronger. If she survived, that girl should be out—"

"She killed three participants and acted like it was good riddance!" Qiao Shan slammed a fist on the table. "She was planning to do the same to everyone!" She kept on slamming the table. "I don't care what she is! She needs to die! To die! To die!"

Li Feng took out the horse's foot and pressed it against Qiao Shan's back. She gasped as if snapping back to reality. She then stared at her hands again and started crying on them. "Hop… Hop was the only friend I have… how dare that monster eat her… I won't forgive it..."

Ruan Jin and Li Feng exchanged gazes, and then Chuan Nayi joined their conversation. "I have a feeling that girl would never return here. She's not only a threat to RS Noah… even to RS Moses since we're using the same place. Qiao Shan… tomorrow morning, we will be returning to that Hall. Perhaps I would have a chance to speak with Guangru again. I can ask him to deal with her instead—"

"Heheh, you think Guangru will do it for my sake?" Qiao Shan raised her eyes and glared at Chuan Nayi instead. "You're deluded."

"I'm not. I'm just a demon's mother."
