Chapter 264 - A Human with an Aura of a Ghost

The father used his fingertips to feel the scabbing on the lines on Ruan Jin's skin. He didn't know how to remove such things, but neither Guangru nor Li Feng was around. He was about to say something, but Chuan Nayi reached out her hand. "Doctor, do you have a scalpel? Li Feng once said that one stroke can make or break seals. Maybe… maybe if we put additional strokes on the seal, it will lose power…"

"Alright." Jiu Yuanli actually had a scalpel, but he didn't let Chuan Nayi touch his patient. His precise cuts somewhat replicated the lines originally made to carve the diagram on Ruan Jin's body. He didn't know how to alter such things, but he still went with his instinct of choosing the negative words and changing them.

Soon enough, they started to feel like negative energy was being released from his body. Jiu Yuanli was an ordinary person so he instantly felt very heavy when it started. There was a low howl as if a hole was made and had been blowing out air. Jiu Yuanli's hand lifted the blade away from the skin. "…did I mess up?"

"Not at all." A female voice echoed, and they saw a black smoke actually entered Ruan Jin's body. It was so dense that one could tell that it was a rather strong spirit. Ye Ling felt the seal being severed slowly, and so she dashed until she got inside the room. Just nice, the gap she left started calling out to her.

Liu Xiaodan had seen how God Raven and the rest would jump inside his body. It was like this, albeit that the body was freely welcoming them without creating a gap for them to fill. As for Chuan Nayi, she was rather feeling strange before Ye Ling had entered her body once—did this happen, too?

Due to his mindset regarding the spirits, Jiu Yuanli was not shocked, but he was still speechless from the sight. He was told that this Ruan Jin had a ghost companion that was almost at the King level. To actually hear her and see her enter his body… "Wait. The thing Song Qixi did to him is hard to reverse. Don't push to heal him; I am already giving him the correct treatment."

Giggling echoed in the wind, like tinkling bells that could daze some men. "I know what you are doing, doctor. Also, I'm not Guangru. I can't heal him even if I want to…"

Along with her words was Ruan Jin's eyes opening. However, the way he looked at Liu Xiaodan made everyone know that it was still Ye Ling. She then continued, "Xiaodan, the things that they are afraid of… it's here. You should go for now. If they reached this place, everyone you kept safe would be dead within minutes. Old Doctor told us about the Black March. He said it was the same thing that ate the village that once stood here.

"The only difference was that they captured the entities in the place. God Raven and the dead forest spirit are few of those who had taken along with him." Ye Ling pursed the lips. "He said that there are demons in that group. You should be very careful. Without Guangru, you might find trouble."

Liu Xiaodan wanted to double-check. "Where are they now?"

"…they entered from that one hall past the Treatment Hall, he said." Ye Ling wished she could have gotten a clearer name for that place. However, she didn't know that Liu Xiaodan knew that there was only one Hall that was directly connected to the Treatment Hall. Liu Xiaodan only nodded.

The man turned to the doctor. "Dr. Jiu, please take care of Nayi and Jin. I won't let them go past me." He then reached out to stroke at Chuan Nayi's face. "If you can escape this place first, I will be very happy. Don't worry about me. As long as you believe in me, I will never die."

Liu Xiaodan dropped his hand and walked outside the room. Tang Mingming and the rest were waiting for him, and they jumped inside his body as if going with him even if it could be a suicide battle. The man took out his lamp and waved it a little…

"Xiaodan." The Mother crawled out from a nook in the dark. Liu Xiaodan looked up at her. "God Raven found Guangru. They're in the Treatment Hall… but… you might want to be ready for what you're about to see."

A loud thud echoed when Qiao Shan collapsed to the floor. The blood on her body had returned, but it was hers this time. Her face was deathly pale from the blood that she had lost. However, when she lifted her eyes, she could see that the entire shower room was covered in blood… as if something actually exploded. She looked down at the blood on her… "Do I have to shower again?"

She didn't even bother with drying herself. Even if the facility was supposed to be cold, the lack of power had made the place hot and humid. The only reason why she felt comfortable was that her body had become rather cold from the inside already.

"Is this what Xiaodan felt like every day?" Qiao Shan wondered if the man had ever felt like everything was cold.

It didn't take her a lot of time to reach the Administrative Hall without running into any other troublesome spirits. It was either she scared them away by killing one of the demons. Even if they were all scattered in the Lodging Hall, none of them had come to the call of her aura.

However, she forgot about taunting the other spirits when she saw the destruction in the lobby. Bullet shells were all over the place, and that meant that some soldiers had already met with the entities of the Black March. She could also get a whiff of her father's scent. He was nearby.

Her nose followed it to a place, but the entrance was protected by a few top-notch shamans. When they saw Qiao Shan approaching, they still readied to attack. She then stopped in front of them. "Are you… really attacking your family princess? I want to see my father."

"How would we know if you're really Young Lady Shan?" One of the shamans doubted the identity of the person in front of them. The family princess was one of the weakest shamans of her generation and even the whole Qiao family. The one standing in front of them was a ghost wearing the face of the family princess—there was no way a human would have the aura of a ghost. This woman must have been possessed!

"How?" Qiao Shan didn't have anything on her. She only looked down at herself and thought that only her blood would be able to prove it. Then again, she realized something. A smile then curled her lips. "I don't know how, but do I really have to prove it?"
