Chapter 295 - Wish Me Luck

Li Feng could simply tell her where the front yard was since they just passed it at the next corner. However, he couldn't help but feel pitiful towards these people. He was scared that they would all turn into vegetables and beg the child's father to haunt him. Sigh.

"I'll walk you to it. Guys, let's head back." Li Feng stopped jogging since his body had pretty much cooled down while he was waiting for them. However, he didn't really care that they all collapsed on the ground as he walked past them to guide the car driving at a walking speed.

"Whew, another day, another failed five laps!" Li Yunru laughed out as she stretched and caught up with Li Feng. She didn't even take Ruan Jin with her since he could pretty much steer the wheelchair on his own.

With weak breaths, Qiao Shan followed the two walking away. Ruan Jin actually laughed some more before he reversed the wheelchair and did his best to turn it around with no help. Then again, Ye Ling still jumped out of his body and pushed the wheelchair for him.

Liu Xiaodan, Wen Taio, and Xu Disung only made dog laughs as they felt abandoned on the streets of the Mian Residence. Xu Disung then went to pull on Liu Xiaodan's nose by hooking his finger on it. "How dare you trick us into this?! Repent!"

Jiang Yanyu could see the three wrestle in her side mirror, but she only gave them a few seconds before eyeing Li Feng who was huffing as he walked. "They're too early to be having fun with Liu Xiaodan. The sun isn't even up yet, and they're already visiting?"

"Not really. When we got to the hospital yesterday, Jin was to be discharged; he was already doing way better. He only needed bed rest. I felt free to invite them for dinner to celebrate Jin's recovery, but Grandfather said they could stay the night," Li Feng spoke fast as if trying to catch his breath.

"Right now, they decided to accompany Xiaodan in the morning run. Nayi didn't come because she has something on." Li Feng smiled at her. "I guess she meant you're picking her up early."

The mother only nodded before looking ahead longer so she could make a good turn at the corner. From there, she could see the face of the house. "Yeah, we have to go somewhere on the other side of the city. I hope she's already awake. Well, she must be awake since Xiaodan is already out here."

When they got to the doors, Jiang Yanyu parked the car at the side instead. She tried to park right in front since she's just going to pick up Chuan Nayi, but Li Feng told her that the spot was reserved. She already had to park at the side so she just got out of the car just the same.

"You're really early. Good thing I skipped on my morning run." Chuan Nayi opened the door and spoke to her mom with a smile. Until her normal clothes, she was wearing an office lady outfit. Her shape was accentuated by the pink blouse and dark pencil skirt, but she looked powerful in that tailored blazer. Her hair was also pulled up in a bun, letting some strands and fringe frame her small face.

"Whoa, are you going for a job interview?" Li Feng did have a girlfriend, but it didn't mean that everyone was now ugly to him. Besides, it was Chuan Nayi, the ultimate belle of the Film and TV Prod course. Of course, he was smitten. Even Qiao Shan and Li Yunru were stunned—she wouldn't even lose to Ren Shanyue!

Chuan Nayi only smiled at him. Job interview? Could someone score a CEO position from a job interview?

She was about to get inside the car when her eyes found a few figures in the distance. Liu Xiaodan and the rest had reached the corner, and the man seemed to have a power boost when he saw her. There were at least thirty meters between them, but Liu Xiaodan crossed it a few seconds when he ghost-walked.

"Hey…" Liu Xiaodan had been drying his sweat earlier so he wasn't really sticky-looking anymore. He even combed his hair back to get the fringe off of his forehead. However, the sweat acted like a gel that stuck his hair to the back. Even if he looked slick and smooth, he could only produce one word as he stared at a Chuan Nayi who wore her full beauty today.

"Haha, I can't be around the whole day today. I have to run a few things like I said before." Chuan Nayi smiled deeper at the boyfriend, even her eyes curving at the sight. Ah, he was stunned stupid.

She then reached out to pat Liu Xiaodan's cheek with the back of her fingers, feeling its stickiness from sweat. "Erm, I would hug you, but you're so sweaty."

"Ah, sorry, we were—" Liu Xiaodan wanted to justify the thing, but Chuan Nayi actually slid her thumb to wipe his lips as if making sure a bead of sweat didn't drip down. Then, she leaned forward to deliver a kiss, her lipstick not smudging because it was kiss-proof.

She then pumped her fist close to her body and flashed a smile like nothing happened. "Wish me luck!"

Liu Xiaodan could only nod and stand still like a tree stump. He even just waved at her like a small child when she got inside the car. The car drove off after a few seconds, but Liu Xiaodan was still on his spot. His eyes followed the car out of the residence, his friends even waving at the car as well.

"Hey, you're standing there for too long!" Li Yunru nudged at the father's back. "Next time, be cool like Feng'er! No standing, just kissing for real!"

"W-What? I don't make out with anyone saying goodbye for an interview..." Li Feng received a towel from the maids and dried his face carefully. Then, he felt someone nudging at him weakly from the side. When he turned, it was Qiao Shan. She then whispered, "Do you… like things like that?"

"...I like everything you do." Li Feng chuckled. Damn, the girlfriend got jealous.

The kiss was actually an encouragement to Chuan Nayi. She arrived in front of Wu Corporation, but she was first met by Hao Chengyi, the secretary from Li Enterprise. Actually, this young man was also not bad. His airs were not easy to trample, and his very strict and stoic face made people not joke with him. However, he's the type that would marry his job and leave hearts handed to him in freezers.

He offered his hand and shook with Jiang Yanyu and Chuan Nayi. "Thank you for arriving on time, Miss Chuan. I have here everything that we need." He gestured to the door. "After you."
