Chapter 333 - Bringing Disaster to People

The drive from the Vehicle Administration Office to the Mian Residence would take an hour due to the noontime traffic. Moreover, Li Feng decided to treat Liu Xiaodan for passing without a hitch. They were supposed to have lunch in this five-star restaurant.

At a red light, Li Feng started to feel strange. The car wasn't cold, but he could feel the hairs on the back of his neck rise. He glanced at Liu Xiaodan and saw that the man was only on his phone, catching up with chats and messages to him. Then, he lifted his eyes to take a look at the rearview mirror.

"What the shit?!" Li Feng screamed in fright all of a sudden. He wouldn't be startled if he saw a woman in the backseat because Liu Xiaodan said that an entity was among the girls. However, he didn't expect to see a woman clinging to the car's roof and was actually pressing her face against the mirror. Well, her face was actually just made up of contours as if she was a painting that was left unfinished.

"Hm, you didn't notice her earlier?" Liu Xiaodan was actually startled by Li Feng instead. Then, he figured it was because of the woman in the car with them. "You can't see her?"

"I can see her f.u.c.k.i.n.g face in my rearview mirror, alright." Li Feng couldn't really see the ghost, and so he just reached out to slip his hand between her face and the mirror in an attempt to push her off. When his hand tried, he could somewhat feel a face against his palm, but he couldn't really see her—

Li Feng was not even finished thinking when the woman's eyes opened. Slits drew across where the eyes should be, and the diamond-shaped holes seemed to be deeper than they should be. Soon, her mouth also opened with a slit and moved to actually bite at Li Feng's face.

It's just that Liu Xiaodan reached out and grabbed the woman's open mouth by the lower teeth. His fingers bled from the lips though, but it didn't mean anything much. Moreover, the gross faded blood in his system should have frozen the woman's body. "I let you in here because you are behaved. Don't make me feed you to my friends. Do you hear me?"

"...okay..." A strange yet soft howling of a woman echoed, and the woman moved to sit back on the backseat.

"Xiaodan… how could you control a demon that isn't even connected to you…?" Li Feng gulped down the lump in his throat. Since the green light showed up, he had the excuse of thinking of something else. Then again, that actually gave him a good reason as to why the woman was invisible. It was a demon… probably one that was newly released from her seal.

"It's a demon?" Liu Xiaodan glanced at the backseat and saw the woman sit there as if she was a statue. "That's strange. Did you hear about what happened to Nayi last night? The surveyors of that building she wanted were attacked by another demon and the Qiao family tried to reseal Guangru again."

A glare came from Li Feng, and his tone grew into a growl. "Why didn't I hear about this?"

"I think it's because you're busy doing someone?"

"It's normal. I have a girlfriend." Li Feng actually rolled his eyes before gnashing his teeth again. "How's Guangru? Was he affected by the seal? And the demon? What happened to it?"

Liu Xiaodan chuckled. He glanced at the woman again as if he was attracting her attention with that rather mischievous smile on his face. "It got eaten… along with that sealed demon in the building."

The woman twitched and decided to scoot at the side further from Liu Xiaodan. She was scared that this hybrid would suddenly give in to his hunger and eat her up without warning. She was newly released from her seal, and she was told to follow a certain scent as if it was her key to freedom. That actually led her to this hybrid; how scary. Then again, she wanted to know why they wanted the person dead…

"...you ate three demons in two days, Xiaodan! Two days!" Li Feng suddenly growled. Ever since he had gotten out of the facility, he was undeniably less of a human. However, this was too much for being a monster. Still, he figured that with more friends depending on him, why would he not be so hungry and attracted to places where the food was? It was actually good that he wasn't eating humans—

Damn, he was also digesting humans. Everything his spawned Kings eat would be his food. Those things were not his friends. Damn, how unlucky could Li Feng be by getting seated next to a demon and a cannibal of both entities and human beings? Gosh, he was losing his appetite.

Luckily, he still had something else to think about. The demons… who was releasing them?

Li Feng adjusted his emotions and cleared his throat. "Xiaodan, could it be that the Qiao family was releasing sealed demons just to keep you and Guangru on the go? The more things you can eat out there, the more places they can set traps for you. It could also be why they started with demolishing the big families now."

"...I can see that happening." Liu Xiaodan only hummed as he leaned against the back of his seat. "Then again, it's not like I can do something. I just got legally bound to serve the Mian family. Even if I had the choice not to go, how would I feel? Do you think I can sit through a discussion of me bringing disaster to a lot of people because I denied responsibility over what is happening right now?"

"Are you looking back at the incidents at Ting?" Li Feng glanced at the man. Well, it sounded true. How many people had died because Liu Xiaodan didn't care about how Guangru's presence affected the residents of the place? How many died after when he openly told Li Feng not to stop him at all? He even caused an innocent person to fall from the heights of his glory. It's him—Li Feng was talking about himself.

Even if he didn't blame Liu Xiaodan for the things that happened to him, he still blamed the hybrid for the death of Jiang Hou. He even said things that drove Liu Xiaodan to finally shed blood.

Thinking about these things almost made them forget where they were headed. Li Feng almost took the turn to go straight to the Mian Residence. However, he still drove to the restaurant. It was because he suddenly felt a familiar presence inside the car.

From the shadow under the dashboard came Guangru who hopped on Li Feng's l.a.p. His big round dark eyes got pinned at the shaman's face. "Big Brother, I'm hungry."
