Chapter 338 - Send People to the Li Enterprise

Liu Xiaodan didn't know why people were doing the things that they had; neither did he care to change it. It was simply because of the strong yang energy that was bouncing off of him, coupled with the yin oozing from his body. Perhaps, such a very anomalous thing could affect normal people.

He then approached Chuan Nayi with a smile. "Guangru said you needed some company."

"...oh, my, Mr. Wu, you shouldn't have bothered." Chuan Nayi was shocked, but she somewhat enjoyed the view. She had long known that Liu Xiaodan was just being a slob when it came to his appearance. He wasn't inherently below-average in the handsome spectrum. Look at what she had now, gosh, what a handsome young man for a husband! She couldn't even help but blush and hook hair behind her ear.

"Don't be like that. I'd be very happy to sit here with you." As if catching the roleplay vibe Chuan Nayi was initiating—albeit unintentional, Liu Xiaodan decided to act with her. This only made Chuan Nayi lower her face and hope that her face wasn't like a tomato.

Of course, Liu Xiaodan took the chance to sit like a real young master even if he was just acting. The very confident stance didn't fit his personality, but he couldn't help but be smug inwardly. He made Chuan Nayi blush without doing much; he was so proud of himself! Moreover, the Li Enterprise was so beautiful. He hadn't stepped in here, and he was glad he decided not to look like a hoodlum right now.

More when he sensed a familiar presence from afar. When he turned in a direction, he saw Li Heilong coming out of the elevator with his two secretaries. He seemed to be in his full business glory like meeting business partners. Then again, it was too much if he came out here for Chuan Nayi, right?

Well, he really didn't. Someone else was waiting for him somewhere, and the car would be there soon. However, as if sensing the same thing—or just being eagle-eyed, Li Heilong spotted Liu Xiaodan and Chuan Nayi at the lobby. His rather stern face remained the same, even if he was surprised to see the transcendent like this. Of course, he also realized a reason in the next second.

"It's a surprise to see you here, Mr. Wu." Li Heilong, nonetheless, greeted him first.

"I'm just here to fetch Miss Chuan." Liu Xiaodan didn't know why he didn't drop the act, but the lack of change in Li Heilong's face made it less awkward. Stupid Xiaodan, he berated himself. Nonetheless, he still shook the hand Li Heilong offered as a greeting.

"I see." Li Heilong only regarded Chuan Nayi with a nod, who rose with Liu Xiaodan when the greeting started. "I would like to stay and chat, but there are places I have to be."

"Please. Let's have coffee some other time." Knowing that he wasn't here for Chuan Nayi, Liu Xiaodan didn't keep the one-man powerhouse long. After borrowing a filler line from office movies, Liu Xiaodan just watched Li Heilong leave. A green Bentley stopped in front of the building, and he got inside with one of his secretaries. The other just stood there and saw them off quietly.

As for those who had witnessed it, they couldn't react on time. Everyone was frozen at the very moment that their big boss walked the floor of the main lobby. Moreover, he valued this Mr. Wu so much that he greeted the younger male first. Mr. Li never greeted anyone in the lobby first—what's happening?!

It's just that Liu Xiaodan didn't know about it; neither did he care. He just sat down again and quietly chatted with Chuan Nayi as if they were not betrothed to each other. They were actually having fun pretending as if actors in their own film. However, this one was actually a chick flick.

"Miss Chuan." Moments later, someone from the side offices came to invite Chuan Nayi to speak with them. The woman elegantly got up and only excused herself from Liu Xiaodan.

As for this mysterious Mr. Wu, he just waited while reviewing things on his phone. Because he promised Bihan that they would watch period dramas, he was looking up and taking note of the shows he would ask her to choose from. He had no idea that he looked so hardworking yet casual to the people around him. The more he stayed attending to his phone, the more the girls in the lounge wished to get a word in.

Then again, he suddenly twitched as he took a look at the huge luxurious clock on the side. Since the clocks were set in different time zones, he even had to look down at his own watch instead. He then went back to his phone.

One of the girls actually wanted to get up and speak to him, but Chuan Nayi almost skidded across the floor with the brisk walking she did. Her body was shaking as if she was really happy. When she appeared, the girls knew that they had lost their chances. The gorgeous woman with wavy dark hair walked up to the mysterious man, and they spoke for a while before leaving together.

Just when they stepped out of the building, no one knew what exactly happen, but an explosion disturbed the top floor! The glass walls of the top four floors shattered, and screams were everywhere. Chuan Nayi quickly screamed and ducked down while Liu Xiaodan used his body to shield her from the glass shards.

Bang! Bang! Bang! The huge shards produced bone-tingling noises as they crashed on the ground. Some cars parked nearby suffered from the shards while some people coming in and out of the building had been injured. Perhaps, only Liu Xiaodan and Chuan Nayi were the ones safe.

It wasn't because Liu Xiaodan was magical… but because Bihan actually jumped in and shredded the glass headed towards them into dust. The black Aventador was just about to come out from the parking building when it happened. Tang Mingming growled at the event. Clearly, someone wanted to kill someone else.

"Head to the car. Quick." Liu Xiaodan straightened his back, and Chuan Nayi ran to the black Aventador. Tang Mingming opened the door for her, and she only stared at the windshield to see what Liu Xiaodan would do next.

"Detective, you need to send people to the Li Enterprise. A bomb just went off." Liu Xiaodan was able to get Hung Guangjian's contact details, and he quickly reported the event. He then began to retreat backward as if taking a look at the top floor where the explosion happened.

Up there, he could see Guangru standing over the ledge. Behind him was a scorched office. Everything in it was burned and broken by the explosion. Guangru then took a look behind him as he glared at the whole office. Li Heilong's office was toasted as if someone wanted to kill him. However, he ended up getting a call from the hospital, and so he quickly went.

"Baba, they're getting very… very desperate..." Guangru's eyes flicked to the broken wall where the bomb seemed to be, and from the hole peeked a burned human figure.
