A loud laugh came from Li Feng. He even bent down so carelessly that his shades were thrown off of his head. He had a good laugh before spoke in an attempt to rein in the laughter. Not only was it particularly shocking to hear, but he even suddenly saw how much these hors.e.m.e.n were taking after one another. Was that Liu Xiaodan earlier—or Ruan Jin? Man, the noise they made was too identical.
"C-Come on, haha, I'm Li Feng! That's exactly why I can be a god!" He found it too funny, sorry.
He then waved his hand with a wide grin on his face. "Hey, all my friends aren't serious with the course, so I didn't really bring them to things like this, and it had gotten lonely. Call Jin and the rest, and don't forget to say it's on Friday next week. Like always though, behave. I will not get kicked out because of you guys."
Liu Xiaodan nodded and simply drew out his phone. He dialed for Ruan Jin and relayed the news. While he was at it, Li Feng ducked to pick up his shades. Whether he broke it or not, it didn't really matter. However, when he bent down, he caught a glimpse of a face under a bench as if it was peeking under the seat.
Actually, they were at the empty main lobby of the driving center. There were benches next to them, but none of them were sitting down; they were actually standing around the vending machine. They were told to wait there while the license was being processed on the spot. Normally, this would take days.
"Xiaodan, we have company..." Li Feng only showed surprise for a short while before smiling at the face underneath the bench. It was actually a child ghost, but Li Feng didn't feel particularly spooked about it even if it was said that child ghosts were the worse kind. Well, if he wasn't used to Guangru, perhaps it wouldn't be too bad for the ghost trying to scare them.
"He's been following us since earlier outside." Liu Xiaodan took a look at the bench where the child should be. Since he was hiding inside the bench, the father didn't expose him. Now that he showed himself to Li Feng, the father only spoke casually about him.
"He's a little too young. Did he get into an accident?" At once, pity took over Li Feng's expression. "Poor boy—"
As if those words actually triggered the ghost, the child ghost phased out of his hiding spot and attacked Li Feng. However, the man only drew out a talisman from his back pocket quickly. He didn't want to burn the ghost so he just made a shield where it collided against.
Li Feng then sat on his ankles. "Do you want prayers, little boy? I can help you cross over."
However, the ghost felt fear towards the paper and ran back inside the bench. It even shuddered as if he was scared of them. Just like a boy that didn't know that he was already gone. Then again, he seemed to be conscious about the possibility as well.
"Can we leave him here?" Liu Xiaodan only hummed as he sat down next to Li Feng. They were both watching the bench, not giving the child ghost time to escape. Li Feng only frowned in response. "He tried to attack me. If he was docile, we could have just offered a prayer."
"Are we going to catch him?"
"Can't Ming pick up his a.s.s and chase this one?" Li Feng found an opportunity to mock Tang Mingming, and the ghost only laughed from inside.
Liu Xiaodan only stifled a laugh. He then got to his feet before walking off. "I'll ask if some people get sick around here or that someone had died. By then, I'll make Ming pick up his exquisite a.s.s to catch the kid."
The shaman didn't leave the company of the small child. Li Feng only sat on the cold floor, attending to his soft drink. The child ghost actually peeked out again and then gazed at the man on the floor. He crawled from under the bench and stared at the shaman. Something about this man was attracting him as a ghost.
"Haven't seen a shaman before?" Li Feng asked the child, but the ghost didn't seem to be capable of speech anymore. His spirit was also deteriorating, evident of his time in the place. "Did a car hit you? You reacted when I spoke to you. You don't like being called poor boy?"
"..." The boy only stared at the shaman. However, he turned in a direction and felt like he had frozen in his stance. At the same time, Li Feng picked up a vile entity in the area. It seemed to have come for the child ghost.
A howling voice then resounding in the lobby. "Lang'er..."
The voice then echoed again. "Oh, I smell someone so delicious. Lang'er, did you bring him here for me?" A black shadow phased through the wall, and it turned into a woman in a black hoodie dress that revealed her broken legs. She seemed to be a victim of an accident as well.
"...Big Brother, I'm sorry..." The child called Lang'er actually uttered as he clutched at Li Feng's shirt. He was actually keeping people in the place to feed this greater ghost because he didn't want to get eaten. He wanted to stay here as long as he needed.
"Seriously?" Li Feng growled. The entities thought that he was frustrated because of them, but none of them actually knew that it was only because another ghost called him Big Brother. Though it was excusable this time, Li Feng still felt strange and indignant.
The broken-legged woman screamed and attacked Li Feng, and the shaman then threw out the talisman and let his rage channel into purifying the woman. What shocked the child ghost and the broken woman was that Li Feng was a very capable shaman! He wasn't in a garb like what they saw in TV, and they couldn't feel his power as he was more powerful than them. The broken woman could only regret attacking.
In a blast, the broken woman was disintegrated due to the flames of purification. The child ghost let go of Li Feng, and he walked backward in fear. He was scared that he was next. No, he couldn't disappear yet… he should wait here. He must be good and wait here!
When he tried to run away, he turned around and made a run for it. However, it was as if his legs were frozen when he saw the other child standing right in front of him. Lang'er crashed to the floor and held onto his head. A demon… he's going to get eaten for sure!
