Chapter 357 - Spiting Miss Wu

Li Xin felt like the conversation in front of her was so strange. Then again, since Wang Yusheng behaved like he had reasons to believe Liu Xiaodan, she didn't question his words at all. This doctor was still one of Li Heilong's most trusted men. Now that he believed that Wu Shuang had a reason to actually harm her, then she accepted it just the same.

It's just that… it hurt to hear that she was harmed by someone for the sake of harming her older cousin brother. However, it turned out that it was all for naught. "Stupid woman..." Wang Yusheng couldn't help his tongue right now and clicked it. In the face of the shocked and offended Li Xin, the doctor remembered that she was still one of her patients. "Don't be afraid. Three more days, and you will be fixed." Wang Yusheng regained his gentle face, but Li Xin was still shaking. She… was dying?

"Dr. Wang treated my friend in a few hours before… it was this serum Miss Wu spoke of." Liu Xiaodan hummed. "That was because everything he needed was in the laboratory in that place. You don't have to worry about it failing. Dr. Wang is also a god like your older brother."

Li Xin moved her eyes in Liu Xiaodan's direction and frowned. She didn't need reminding that Li Heilong was a god, but this man next to her was a lesser one for sure. However, she still lowered her head and stared at her bleeding halved upper arm. "I want my big brother..."

While they were talking, Wang Yusheng was already packing his stuff. When he heard her murmur, he could only disappoint her. "Boss is at work. You can't see him. I'll tell him you want him to come."

Li Xin glared that Wang Yusheng again. 'But you never did.' No matter how much she asked this lesser god to call on her older brother, Li Heilong never came.

"...Miss Li, is it true that you tried to kill your big brother?" Liu Xiaodan asked somewhat casually, and the woman was shocked. It didn't matter if it would go without saying, but how dare he ask her this casually? Was the crime that light to this man? Liu Xiaodan smiled. "Miss Li, please tell me what you know of Miss Wu."

The woman snorted. "Only when you can return my arm!"

"What are you?" Li Xin murmured as she felt nothing but fear. She locked her eyes on him and saw nothing much but the smile of a dead person. Her lips trembled, and she opened her mouth. "I only knew her from galas and parties. Big Brother never showed up in pointless gatherings, and so I always represent the Li family. Please don't hurt me. I beg you, I'll tell you everything you need!"

"I actually don't need much from you. I don't think you can give me more than what you just said." Liu Xiaodan smiled. "I only want to spite Miss Wu, so… can you please get better?"

She remained quiet. The man let go of her, and the time freeze somewhat dissipated as soon as it came. Liu Xiaodan got up from the bed and went to fetch the two people. He was done for the day. As for what happened next, he was just going to wait. Besides, Wang Yusheng had already mentioned a timeline. In three days, she should be able to start her recovery.

Moreover, in that time that she was in the time freeze, Guangru and Bihan were going through her thoughts. It might not be her memories, but it was enough for her to recall their meeting and the words that this Miss Wu had spoken. Most importantly, they located the place of the prosthetic arm.
