Chapter 607 - 194: She’s Defeated Again

People started to criticize Madison, "I have never heard a song sung twice. Is there no rehearsal? Why is she doing this in front of so many people? Is she an idiot, humiliating herself?"

These words made Madison angry. She tried to calm down and stayed there.

Madison thought she couldn't leave. She thought to herself, "If I go away, Catherine will be happy. But she makes me shameful. People will believe I sing terribly and had a terrible show for the welcome party. My voice is different from Catherine's voice. Why don't they recognize it?"

"Um. It is just an accident. Someone played tricks. I am the only one that sang the song. It is not dual. Sorry. Here comes my voice. Let's get started again." Madison retorted and quickly composed herself.

Madison had a beautiful voice and these sincere words comforted anxious students.

But some of the students still didn't accept her apology. Even though Madison had explained it immediately, yet these students believed that it was her voice.

The melody sounded. Madison thought to herself, "I believe that Pearl and Iris can handle Catherine. They can bring her on stage and reveal what she did. People must hate her though she danced perfectly. No one loves a vicious person."

All the people in the room, including Elliot and Pearl, kept staring at Catherine and put their microphones aside as if Catherine was a suspect.

Cecil held Catherine's arms, "Cathy, they are watching you."

A triumphant smile makes the way in the corner of her lips, and with confidence, she said, "Don't worry. I don't break the law."

Catherine did make trouble. Madison had to sing the song again because of her.

"Since you have finished your program, why not go back to your class? Don't make trouble."

"But I want to enjoy the show."

"Is there a person waiting for you?" said Pearl coldly.

"Huh, you know that?" asked Catherine. She knew Pearl wanted to suggest that Sean came to find her.

"It won't last long. I will leave when Madison finishes singing."

Pearl was confused.

When Madison sang the first line, she was relieved because there was no Catherine's voice.

But when she sang the climax of the song, the melody changed. An opera sounded, and its voice was deep, "A mighty will, great glory. These are yours for all time."

"Uh-huh."

Ethel lowered her head and coughed again and again. She felt funny when she heard that, but she knew it was improper to laugh.

The song was mixed with lovely and serious melodies.

Madison was getting desperate, and her eyelids kept jumping, but she had to finish singing the song with the wrong melody.

"Catherine Stewart. Stop! Enough!" Iris ran over to grab her phone.

"What are you doing? Please be nice."

"Don't make trouble again. It is inappropriate to make trouble in front of others, where's your manner?"

"I don't make trouble. I am listening to music. Don't you like the song? It's nice to hear it mostly coming from Madison,"

Um… It is a little bit impassioned. Okay, I change the music."

Then, Catherine played the theme song of King Arthur.

The music made Ethel almost rolling on the floor laughing.

Cecil and Sophia couldn't help but laugh too.

"Come on. Sing along with me."

Soon, people sang the song together.

People became excited when they sang a familiar song.

No one cared about Madison though she was still singing.

The theme song of King Arthur made them excited. Most of them loved the song.

Madison was standing on stage, holding a microphone. Her face turned pale.

Although the lyrics kept changing, Madison didn't want to sing anymore.

Madison had practiced again and again for the welcome party. Many senior students praised her for singing very well during the rehearsal.

Madison got dressed and put on makeup. She would have thought it was time to show. However, she felt a deep sense of shame now. It was because Catherine had put her into that situation.

"How could it be?" Madison thought to herself.

Her mind went blank, and she had completely lost, including her dignity. She was defeated by Catherine again, and she couldn't accept it easily.

Catherine succeeded. The party turned into a fan meeting.

"Cathy, it is so funny. I can't stand it. I laughed a lot so that my stomach got hurt," said Ethel.

She put hands on her belly and laughed.

"Stop laughing. Be careful."

"Have you heard that?"

"Of course, I can."

"Enough," said Pearl. She walked over, standing in front of Catherine.

Pearl was a little taller than Catherine.

She is condescending, looking at Catherine.

"It is a party. What are you doing? You should accept the consequences and explain everything to the leaders of the university tomorrow," said Pearl.

It was the first time that Pearl had experienced it. She hated Catherine.

Catherine asked innocently, "What? Explain? I just listen to music. They don't like the song that Madison sings, but they love this one. How can I stop them?"

"Nonsenses!"

"Whatever. All right. I need to go."

Elliot had to say something, "You make so many troubles, Catherine."

"Senior Elliot, you are wrong. It is not my fault. Someone wants to make me in a dilemma, but I am not a weak man, and I have to fight."

"You!"

"Aren't you going to continue the party? Madison finished."

Madison was angry, walking to Catherine, "Sister Catherine, why do you treat me in this way?"

"What are you saying? What did I do?"

"You!"

"You are more vicious. You even wanted to reveal that I lip-sync."

"What?" Elliot frowned and asked.

"Woman business. It is none of your business."

"You made me ashamed in front of so many students."

"Do I? I believe no one will remember you."

Catherine told the truth. Madison just sang an ordinary song.

"Your face looks pale. Remove your makeup. I have to go now."

"Be careful."

Catherine let Sophia give the skirt to the student union.

Actually, Catherine was able to make such a skirt if she had enough time.
