Chapter 626 - 213: I'm Sorry If I Offend You

Sean pinched her ruby cheek gently.

Catherine's face was finally better. He didn't mind that she had rashes on her face. But it bothered Catherine. She was afraid Sean found her hideous.

Now, her face was better. And she became the lively Catherine.

"Ava, Vivian, we should head back. We couldn't intrude any longer," Dora quickly invites them to leave the couple so they could have privacy.

"Why don't you stay for dinner?" Vivian suggested.

"It's okay," said Dora.

"Stay for dinner," said Ava.

"Okay, thanks," said Dora. She was eager to tell her husband the good news. Then she got negative thinking of how Sean agreed to help, which was almost humiliating.

Dora wished Pearl could get rid of her obsession with Sean. All he cared about was Catherine.

The first entering was Thomas Blair, Sean's father. He was in his 50s but looked like in his 40s. He didn't have a stroke of gray. Acting as a perfect gentleman, he kept wearing a smile.

Then came Antonia Blair, who was holding Bentley. He was tall and wore military uniforms. He looked fit and a bit like Sean. He looked like a soldier.

Amanda followed Antonia. She was a perfect match for him. The family looked so happy.

Then there was another man at last. Catherine didn't meet him before. But Sean's family did. He was a close friend serving in the military, and his name was Ethan Hanc.o.c.k.

"Hello," said Ava. She couldn't help grinning from ear to ear seeing her son and grandson.

"Ethan?"

Ethan was tall and handsome. When he smiled, his white teeth were shown. His smile was bright and heart-warming.

"Mrs. Blair, how do you do?" said Ethan.

"I've missed you. It's been a long time," said Ava.

Bentley stayed on his father's l.a.p.s and occasionally came to his grandpa's.

Antonia saw Catherine and said, "This must be Catherine. This is the first time we meet."

"Hello, Antonio," said Catherine.

"Nice girl. No wonder Sean is madly in love with you. And he did a lot of things for you to stay," Antonio teased.

For Catherine, Sean asked Antonia to transfer Catherine's military instructor to Ethan's company for harsh training. Ethan told him the instructor was a tough man. He did all the training without complaining.

So how could a man like that make things hard for Catherine on purpose?

Catherine wouldn't dare to speak. She was intimated by Antonia. The years he spent in the military made him a man of iron will. His smile couldn't hide his presence. One couldn't think of any schemes in front of him.

Catherine thought Antonio's men must be terrified of him.

"Catherine, are you getting shy?" asked Antonio.

Catherine was stunned.

Amanda glared at him in a flirtatious way, "Don't frighten Catherine."

Antonio almost got aroused by Amanda's hot look. He stared at her and couldn't wait to be alone with her.

Amanda got embarrassed and blushed. She secretly complained about Antonio's affection.

"Antonio, how many days will you stay at home?" asked Sean.

"A few days," Antonio said. He decided to spend them with his wife.

Sean noticed that Ethan has been staring at Catherine since he sat down. He frowned and asked, "What are you looking at?"

Ethan realized he was being impolite and said, "I just thought this girl looks familiar."

"She's not any girl. That's Sean's wife."

"I'm sorry," said Ethan.

Sean said, "Is this your best pick-up line?"

"I really thought I know her somewhere."

Catherine was surprised. She looked at Ethan, "Have we met before."

Sean said, "Stay away from her, or you'll get beaten up." His wife couldn't be taken away from him.

Ethan looked at Catherine and said, "I don't think so. I'm Ethan Hanc.o.c.k."

"Catherine Blair."

Ethan didn't recall the name, so he probably didn't meet her before. But he had the feeling of deja-vu. That was insane.

Sean held Catherine in his arms and said, "Pay no attention to him. He's not sane."

Ethan didn't know what to say. He was misunderstood as a playboy. But he was acting impolitely.

Catherine thought for a moment and didn't recall anyone named Ethan in her last life. She probably didn't know him. But she also had a strange feeling that she knew him.

"Catherine, aren't you..."

Ethan was kicked in the leg by Antonio.

"What?" asked Catherine.

"Nothing."

Ethan realized that Antonio told him about the girl going against her military instructor. Then Sean fought him to defend her honor. He was impressed.

The military instructor had to do all the harsh training every day. He couldn't be more exhausted. He wondered whether he ever regretted making things difficult for a girl.

Next, Catherine behaved herself. She didn't even have enough at dinner. She couldn't in front of Mayor Blair and Sean's brother. She had to bring out the best in her not to humiliate Sean.

After dinner, they started small talk in the living room. Catherine noticed Ethan couldn't take his eyes off her. It was like trying to find out where she came from. Catherine got scared. She didn't do anything to offend Ethan.

"I have to go to the bathroom," said Catherine. She felt a bit of tension in the room and left with the excuse.

Mayor Blair knew about Johnson's trouble and didn't hesitate to ask Sean to help out. Luckily, Sean agreed earlier, or it wouldn't end well if Sean refused.

On her way back to the living room, Catherine bumped into Ethan. Her eyelids twitched.

"Major Hanc.o.c.k." Catherine greeted him and left in a hurry.

"Are you scared of me?" asked Ethan.

"I haven't met you before. Why should I be?" asked Catherine. But Ethan felt Catherine was terrified of her. It was interesting.

"Catherine, we really didn't meet before," said Ethan.

Catherine answered, "I don't think so."

Catherine would recognize his face by now if she did, especially such a gorgeous man with personality. She must remember it.

"I'm sorry if I offend you."

Ethan later asked about Catherine from Antonio. He made fun of Ethan and told him not to think about Catherine, or he would end terribly.
