Chapter 672 - 259: You Won’t Regret This

Seeing how Catherine kept her eyes open and refused to go to sleep, Sean changed his mind about going to bed.

"Why not go to sleep?" asked Sean. He held her in his waist and kept her hands near his c.h.e.s.t in case she got cold.

With the heating on and Sean's body temperature, Catherine didn't feel cold at all.

"I can't go to sleep. I'm still trying to process everything you just told me. Oh man, we've missed a lot. Just think what might have been." Catherine was a bit ecstatic and said.

"You silly bug, don't read too much into this. I don't tell you all those things to increase your psychological burden. I just want you to know how much I care about you. Choosing me is the right decision. Just know that I'll always care for you. How I feel about you is never gonna change."

"Yeah."

Sean smiled, "Do you want to show off how I've been obsessed with you all these years?"

"That's not a bad idea."

Catherine felt her feet on the clouds. Her heart was filled with joy and delight.

"Go to bed. It will be the same after you wake up."

"But I'm afraid this is a dream. The most popular and handsome man in London, Mr. Sean Blair, falls in love with me. It feels better than winning a lottery."

"Huh?" Sean laughed out.

"And you planned for me to see your photo as a teenager. Why? Do you think I will misunderstand the situation again?"

"Catherine, I can tell you're bothered since you saw your butterfly hair pins in my suitcase. So I have to figure out a way to let you know."

"I'm not the jealous type. Besides, you told me you were impressed with her round and big eyes. It sounds like you're talking about your lover."

"And most importantly, how could you forget to ask her name!"

"You are right. I'm sorry." Sean meant it. If he knew her name earlier, he wouldn't allow Lawson to mistreat her and give her the chance to like Marco. He would have charmed Catherine.

"I forgive you." Catherine said, "Now, let's go to sleep."

Since her personal affairs were sorted out, she had time to do something she always wanted. For the sake of Feather, she had to recruit Ken Hosk, the most talented and prospective designer she knew. Another reason she had to sign a contract with him was to stop Pearl from stealing him. As Pearl is her love rival and professional competitor too, Catherine always considered her a threat.

Catherine sat at the coffee shop while looking at the message that read, "Okay. I'll be there by noon." That was Ken Hosk's response to her offer of coffee. She took with her a contract her lawyer drew. For the meeting, she was confident that things would go well.

"Hello, Catherine."

Catherine looked up, and it was Ken. He pulled out the chair and sat down.

"You said you had something to discuss with me?" asked Ken.

"Yeah. I wasn't sure you would come." Catherine said.

"Sophia said you had a wonderful opportunity for me."

"I do. Take a look at this." Catherine placed the contract on the table.

Ken took the contract and started reading. Catherine took one sip of coffee, trying not to let Ken notice how anxious she was.

It didn't take Ken long to ask, "Are you serious?"

"About what?" asked Catherine.

"The terms you offer are extraordinarily generous. Will you really make me the chief designer at Feather and offer me 10% of stock?"

"Yes."

"That's so much less than what Pearl promised," Ken said calmly.

"What? Pearl Johnson has approached you? Did you say yes?" Catherine was surprised.

"Catherine, can you give me one reason I should sign the contract?" asked Ken.

Catherine thought for a second and decided to tell him the truth. She said, "I have faith in you and your talent. I see something unique. When you design an outfit, you are not just making a cloth. You give it life. I know Feather isn't a big name, but I promise you complete design freedom. Feather is the stage for you to play. And you have my full support no matter when. I really think you consider accepting my offer."

"Well..." Ken paused as he stopped on the last page, "I would like to join Feather." Then he signed his name.

"Trust me. You won't regret this!" Catherine was so excited.

Ken looked at the innocent smile on Catherine's face and realized he made the right decision. Feather didn't have many good designers. But it was a great place to start his career. He was certain he could be the change. Although it was hard and challenging, he found the job alluring. He chose Feather over Taylor & Inwood because he had to prioritize his value. Even if Pearl's offer was attractive, he knew his ideas wouldn't be highlighted.

Catherine got up to shake hands with Ken, "Ken, I'm glad you decide to join us."

Ken held her hands back as agreed. He said, "That's it. I have something else to do. I'll see you Monday."

"See you," Catherine said.

Catherine couldn't be more relieved. Securing Ken Hosk was securing the future of Feather, the lifelong work of her father. This marked a nice beginning. She believed that Feather would become better and better with the right leadership.

After signing the contract with Ken, Catherine couldn't wait to share the news with Sean. She came home as fast as she could, but Sean wasn't home yet.

Not long after, Catherine heard the car driving in. As she expected, it was Sean. Upon entering, she gave Sean a huge hug.

"Why are you so happy?"

"I have great news! Ken Hosk agreed to join Feather!"

"Really? Well done, Catherine. I know it's what you're always expecting. I've asked Sarah to pack up your bags. We're going out."

"Where are we going?" asked Catherine.

"You'll see." Sean smiled.

As long as it was Sean, she was willing to follow him anywhere, Catherine thought.
