Chapter 727 - 52: I’m Glad To Help You

With the glory, Angelo got off the stage when Doris walked to her.

"Congratulations, Angelo! I knew you would become the champion!"

After a month at school, Angelo became popular at school. She received many gifts from girls because of her excellent appearance. As for Doris, she just took her as a friend. No special feelings towards her because she's also a woman behind the hidden identity.

But in the eyes of other people, she was dating Doris. They just ignored Stella. Anyway, the Hills was nowhere near as good as the Thorne and the Taylors.

"Thanks."

Angelo took over a bottle of water from Doris and smiled. Then she unscrewed the cap and took a drink, and walked over to Daisy.

Looking at Angelo's back, Doris blushed in shy.

People around saw that and joked with her, which was seen by Stella, who clenched the water bottle hard. Somehow, she sensed that Angelo was more indifferent to her.

She didn't know that the Hills had lost their usefulness to Angelo, who had given up on them.

"Doris, you bitch! I'm Angelo's fiancée!"

Listening to the jokes about Doris. Stella was furious. She unscrewed the cap of the bottle and poured all the water over Doris.

Some people were angry and wanted to teach Stella a lesson but were stopped by Doris, who took over the towel from a student and dried her hair.

She looked at Stella with a sarcastic smile and then approached her ear.

"You are no longer his fiancée tomorrow."

Doris's voice was not quite loud, but Stella heard her. Then Doris turned to leave, and others followed up.

"You are indeed shameless, Doris!" Stella shouted, pointing at Doris's back.

Several of her friends heard that and hurriedly covered her mouth. They knew they could not afford to offend either the Taylors or the Thorne. After those days, they learned that Angelo didn't love Stella.

Angelo was unaware of those things. She waved in front of Daisy, who then came to herself.

Following Daisy's gaze, Angelo saw Darren. Then she shook helplessly.

Darren was invited to the speech contest as a judge. That was one of the reasons Daisy came to the contest.

"Hello, Daisy, Angelo."

Darren also noticed them and came to greet them with a smile.

Daisy ignored Darren and looked away, pretending to be indifferent.

Angelo greeted Darren and looked a little awkward. Then, the smile on Darren's face faded away.

"Congratulations, Angelo!"

"It's all thanks to Daisy."

Darren was unhappy after hearing that, and his slight change was noticed by Daisy.

Then she thought of something and became excited. An idea occurred to her, and she stood on tiptoe to kiss Angelo on the cheek.

"I'm glad to help you," Daisy said with a smile. Then she held Angelo's hand to leave.

Angelo learned what Daisy was up to when she saw Darren's fists and left with her.

Looking at the back of Angelo and Daisy, Darren's smile disappeared.

"Mr. Adams…"

Ben, the president, was about to say something but then stopped when he saw Darren's cold eyes. When Darren walked far, he mumbled, "Darren has been wearing a smile. Why is he as cold as Drake today?"

He wanted to talk with Darren about cooperation. Now he thought he had better talk with him at another time.

At this time, Angelo and Daisy were separated. When she got back to her dormitory and put her trophy on the table, she thought of Drake. Still, she was worried about him. She thought for a while and then decided to go home.

"You are back, Mr. Angelo?"

Hale asked in surprise. Angelo should be at school at this time.

"I miss the food at home, so I'm back. Where's Drake?"

She looked around and found Drake was not back yet, so she asked like she knew nothing.

"Mr. Drake had an accident. He is in the hospital now. You'd better check him now."

Hearing that, Angelo gave a surprising look. She asked about Drake's ward and then went to the hospital.

When Angelo arrived at the hospital, she walked directly to the ward Drake was in. She knocked at the door and then heard Drake's cold voice, "Come in, please."

Drake didn't expect Angelo to come. He put the newspaper aside.

"You should be at school at this time? What are you doing here?"

"I went home. Hale told me you are in the hospital. So, here I am."

Angelo lowered her head as she spoke, she was guilty of lying to him.

Drake, however, looked at Angelo like this and had a familiar feeling. Somehow, he felt that he had met Angelo this month.

Angelo sensed Drake's gaze, breaking into a cold sweat. She wondered if Drake found out her identity as a girl. But then she ignored the thought. She didn't think Drake could recognize her because he was in a coma when she was saving him.

"Since you are fine, I'd better go back to school," she finally decided to flee.

She thought she had better not appear in front of Drake. Since Drake was fine, she was in a hurry to leave.

"Wait. I have something to ask you," Drake stopped her.

Angelo stayed there, turned around, and forced a smile.

"What?"

She pinched her sleeves, wondering if Drake had discovered everything and would blame her now.

"Tell me, do you love Stella or not?"

Angelo gave a long breathe when she heard that. She loosened her sleeves and said without hesitation, "I don't like her."

Since she decided to give up Stella, she should be decisive. Besides, she didn't forget that Nathan was one of the people who indirectly killed her.

Drake didn't expect to hear that from Angelo because he had been insisting on marrying Stella.

But he just froze for a moment, then he took out his cell phone and sent a text message to his secretary.

Then he put down his phone and looked at Angelo.

"You'll break off your engagement to Stella tomorrow."

Angelo realized what he meant after a minute. She had thought about that but didn't expect it to come so soon.
