Chapter 732 - 57: He Is Scary

As soon as Daisy handed over her test paper, she was dragged away by Angelo. A sly look appeared in her eyes when she saw the anxious gaze of Angelo.

"What was Drake here for, Daisy?" She quickly asked Daisy, and a surge of anxiety run through her head. Angelo was afraid that her real identity would soon be exposed.

"He showed me a photo that was taken the time you modeled my creation and asked me who you are."

Daisy fiddled with her fingers, looked sorry, and said in broken words.

"You know he's scary. I… I'm sorry. I felt nervous with him,"

Hearing that, Angelo gave a desperate look. She clutched her hair and made it a mess, imagining that she was kicking out of the Thorne family.

"I'm screwed. I'm really screwed this time,"

She murmured in a desperate tone. Daisy then realized that she went too far. She hurried up and held Angelo's hand.

"No. I was joking with you. I told him that it was just a model I paid, and I had no idea who she was. How would I betray my best friend?" She soothed her, and a naughty smile came along the way.

"It's all right… I see… Hearing your words now made me relieved,"

Angelo thought Daisy was apologizing and was about to comfort her when she realized what she was talking about.

She stepped forward and held Daisy tight with anxiety full of her eyes.

"Really? You didn't tell him my identity?"

"No, I didn't. Don't worry. I have fooled him."

Daisy tried to comfort Angelo with a smile and then was held tight by her.

"You can't play jokes like this on me. I'm scared. You naughty girl, I was about to freak out. I thought Drake had found out my real identity,"

People around all cheered for them because they didn't know Angelo was a girl.

Right then, a man came over.

It was Darren. He came to negotiate some cooperation with Ben. He never expected to see the sweet gesture between Angelo and Daisy.

He saw Daisy and Angelo held with each other just as he reached the classroom. His eyes dimmed. Then he stepped forward and split the two apart.

He forced a smile with concern, "Daisy, you'd better mind your behavior at school."

Daisy blushed when she saw Darren and looked away. "It's none of your business," she said in a muffled voice.

Hearing that, Darren felt embarrassed. He coughed and straightened his tie.

Angelo smiled at the scene. An idea suddenly occurred to her, and then she held Daisy in her arms.

"Mr. Adams. We're a.d.u.l.ts now. There is no need to hide such things from others. What is your opinion, Daisy?"

"Yeah."

Daisy learned what she wanted to do and nodded. Then she demurely spoke to Angelo, "Can you help me with French, Angelo? There are some points I don't understand."

With that, she gave a sweet smile. Angelo nodded, grabbed Daisy's hand, and walked to the classroom.

"Daisy!"

Darren grabbed Daisy with an awkward look.

Daisy turned around and looked at him with some expectation.

After a moment of silence, "Daisy… Angelo is not the right one for you," Darren finally said because he can't bear to see Daisy was with Angelo.

"I'm not sure if we're right for each other. But I know that you are not the right one for her. You refused her, didn't you?"

As Angelo spoke, she smiled defiantly at Darren. She had to put some pressure on Darren, or she wasn't sure when the two could have a happy ending.

At this moment, Daisy thought of how Darren refused her at her birthday party. Looking at Darren, she became angry.

She dumped Darren's hand and said sarcastically, "You'd better mind your behavior at school, Mr. Darren."

Then she turned around to the classroom, holding Angelo's hand. Darren looked at the two left with a complex look.

Darren looked back at Darren and then gave a wry smile. She lowered her head down and kissed gently on Daisy's face.

Darren clenched his fists, then he walked straight to Daisy and dragged her out of the classroom.

"What are you doing, Darren?"

Daisy was stunned and tried to struggle but was picked up by Darren.

"Darren!"

Daisy shouted, hitting Darren on the shoulders.

"Stop it. I have to talk to you," Darren said in a low voice.

Then he walked away. Holding his waist, Daisy blushed and buried her head in Darren's c.h.e.s.t.

Looking at the back of the two people, Angelo shook her head. Those two loved each other and should be together. Even she was anxious for them.

They might have a change after this incident.

"Well, I'd better go home to make sure of something."

Looking at the book, Angelo felt uneasy. She put the book away and walked out.

When she arrived at the Thorne's house, she looked for Drake but didn't find him.

"Where's Drake, Hale?"

"He went out," Hale answered, continuing to sort papers.

Angelo sat on the couch and then found a pile of files.

Out of curiosity, she picked up the files, only to find photos of her and Daisy in the design contest.

Hale noticed "his" move and went up to take the files away from "him" with an apologetic gaze.

"Mr. Drake said no one could touch these files."

"Yeah."

Angelo picked up a strawberry from a compote, put it in her mouth, and pretended to ask casually, "What is he doing recently?"

"He's busy investigating the girl who saved him. And he had canceled some meetings for it. Just now, he got some clues and went out for it."

Hearing that, Angelo was quite anxious. She knew Drake would look for her around but didn't expect him to be so serious about it.

If he kept doing this, he would find out her identity sooner or later. That was not what she wanted.

Just then, Patrick came in and saw Angelo sitting on the couch. A look of contempt appeared on his face.

He had been looking down upon this adopted kid.
