Chapter 772 - 97: Cooking For Her Grandma

Just as Angelo thought, Corrine happened to come out for a walk and see everything that happened here.

Thinking of Angelo's behavior just now, Corrine didn't like her even more. She thought Angelo could be braver after so many years, but she was more timid.

"Go back now," ordered Corrine with hate in her tone.

Angelo sighed at her bad fortune in her mind. She had planned to leave the old lady a good impression, but it was totally against her wish.

But thinking of the file Corrine had, Angelo could only say, "Yeah, grandma."

Then she came to Corrine and held her arms.

"Let me support you there, grandma. You shouldn't have walked alone," she said gallantly.

Corrine was surprised because Angelo used to avoid her and had never come to support her before.

So, now she felt a little uncomfortable. She slightly snorted but didn't get rid of Angelo.

She disliked Angelo, but "he" was her grandson anyway, so she would not embarrass "him" in front of others. She still couldn't afford to embarrass herself, too, in front of others.

Besides, she was old. It was every old man's wish to get along well with their grandsons.

When Angelo saw that Corrine didn't get rid of her, she felt that it was a good sign and smiled.

When they arrived at the hall, Drake was there and saw them coming together. His eyes were full of surprise.

He put down the cup and looked at Corrine, looking relaxed.

"Grandma," he said, still the cold voice.

Drake had been looking like this, Corrine was used to it.

"Yeah. Let's have lunch," she said and then sat at the top seat. Soon, some servants served the food on the table.

Looking at the seafood and steak, Corrine didn't have much appetite. As she got older, she preferred home-cooking more.

Since Drake was here eating with her, she ate some but not much. Angelo had been observing her and noticed everything.

She put down her spoon and looked at Corrine.

"Grandma, is the food not to your taste?" she asked with an ingratiating smile.

Drake stopped eating when he heard that. He looked at Corrine and frowned. By then, he realized that he neglected Corrine's requirement.

Corrine didn't expect Angelo to ask that.

"Yeah," she nodded, didn't mean to cover anything.

"Prepare something grandma loves to eat," Drake said to a servant standing by.

Hearing that, Angelo grabbed the servant, who was ready to leave.

To her, it was a chance to please the old lady. So, she came forward to massage Corrine and said, "How about I cook for you, grandma? You can try the food I will be going to prepare for you,"

There was ingratiating full of her tone.

Corrine had never been so close to a grandson, so she was kind of nervous. But soon, she calmed herself down.

"All right."

She closed her eyes and said,

Looking at the old lady, Angelo sighed inside that she was indeed similar to Drake. Then, she just glanced at Drake.

The servant quickly leads Angelo, and she came to the kitchen.

She glanced over the kitchen and picked some vegetables and meat.

With the help of the cook, everything went well. Soon, two dishes were ready.

After serving the dishes on the table, Angelo fumbled her head and said with a shy smile, "I think you must be hungry, so I didn't cook much. Have a try, grandma."

Looking at the delicate dishes, Corrine was surprised. She didn't know Angelo could cook.

However, her long standing dislike of Angelo kept her from praising "him."

"You could only cook these two dishes, could you?" She looked at Angelo awkwardly.

Hearing that, Angelo knew that she had a long way to go. But as she thought of the file, she put on a sweet smile and said, "You'll know, grandma. How about you try them?"

To get the complete file, she would stand the weird old lady.

When Corrine took a bite of the food, surprise appeared in her eyes.

Seeing that, "What do you think of it, grandma?" Angelo asked with a hopeful look. She had been confident with her cooking.

"Edible."

It was Drake's voice.

Angelo spouted and controlled herself not to argue with him.

"Yeah. Just so so."

These words were from Corrine.

Angelo was surprised. She didn't expect to get such feedback from Corrine.

"It can't be."

She started to doubt her cooking. When she was about to taste the dish, she felt a sharp gaze.

Then she saw the unhappy face of Corrine. Suddenly, she seemed to understand something. With a wry smile on her face, she lowered her spoon.

"Take your time, grandma. I'll give you a massage."

Then she walked to the back of Corrine and massaged her shoulders. But on her face, the expression was complicated.

Soon, the plates were empty. Looking at the dishes, Angelo couldn't help sighing that the Thorne members were indeed the same, they just wouldn't tell what they thought in mind.

Now she learned that she shouldn't take Corrine's words seriously. But she had begun to doubt her cooking.

Soon, the servants cleared the table. Drake went to work. So, there was only Angelo and Corrine in the room.

Seeing that Corrine closed her eyes, Angelo stopped her move. As she was about to leave, "Go on," she heard the order from the "Queen."

Under the sharp gaze of Corrine, Angelo couldn't help trembling a bit. So, she hurried to continue the massage.

Now she understood why Drake had such strong momentum. He was like another version of Corrine.

After massaging for a while, Angelo felt that her hands were sore. Looking at Corrine, who was closing her eyes, Angelo lightly called, "Grandma."

For a while, she didn't hear any answer. Then she stopped and quietly walked out. She doesn't want to disturb her this time, even though she wanted to bring out her concern.

But after she left, Corrine opened her eyes, which was unknown to Angelo. Looking at the back of Angelo, Corrine was a little down.
