Chapter 788 - 113: New Contract

But Clarence thought Angelo didn't want to tell them. "It's alright if you don't want to say it," he said.

Angelo felt embarrassed. She took a sip of the coffee and looked to Daisy and Drake. She didn't know what Daisy was going to do, so she was also very curious.

Clarence read the contract through again. When he was sure there was nothing wrong with it, he asked, "You only have a problem with the last clause, right?"

Angelo took her eyes back and nodded.

After a while, Drake and Daisy walked back. Seeing the smile on Daisy's face, Angelo understood something. When Daisy sat down, she whispered, "You got him?"

Daisy gave her an OK sign and looked quite proud, "Of course, I'm Daisy Clark!"

Opposite them, Drake was talking to Clarence. Soon, Clarence nodded and gave a complimenting smile, "Well, let's do it as you said."

With that, he took the pen and crossed over the last clause of the contract. Then he wrote something below it.

Angelo was very curious but controlled herself. Subconsciously, she looked to the contract.

A few seconds later, Clarence handed the contract to Karol, who looked shocked after a glance. But soon, she stood up and went to a photocopy room with the contract. Angelo was more curious.

A while later, Karol came back with a new contract. She handed it to Clarence, who then gave it to Angelo with a warm smile.

"What do you think of the modification now, Miss Watts? If you have no problem, let's sign it now."

Angelo took over the contract and thought that she could finally see the contract. Quickly, she turned it to the last page.

"Karol Davis is tentatively appointed as the agent of Angeline Watts and Daisy Clark the assistant. Daisy Clark will be Angeline Watts's agent when she was qualified," read Daisy word by word.

Angelo was so surprised that she gave Daisy a look of admiration.

It was the first time she had seen this kind of contract. Daisy was so great that she could negotiate such a request, she thought.

What impressed her more was that Daisy could convince Drake.

"No. I have no problem with it," answered Angelo. Quickly, she signed her name on it and gave it back to Clarence, who checked it to make sure there was nothing wrong with it before putting it back.

"Wish us happy cooperation!"

Clarence stood up and looked at Angelo with a smile. Angelo also got up and was about to shake hands with Clarence when Drake suddenly held her hand.

Sensing the coldness from Drake's hand, Angelo was surprised. Her heart raced, and her face blushed.

"Happy cooperation!" said Drake.

Angelo then came to herself. She quickly withdrew her hand back and said gently, "Happy cooperation!"

When Drake saw Angelo's actions, his eyes deepened. He withdrew his hand casually and then said to Clarence, "Let's go back to talk about other things of Glamor, all right?"

After that, he turned to leave. Clarence then withdrew his hand and smiled at Angelo before leaving.

Seeing them go far, Daisy then laughed. Angelo knew why she was laughing. Thinking of the scene just now, she felt annoyed.

But Daisy just laughed wilder. Finally, Angelo reached out to touch Daisy's forehead and gave a confused expression, "It's not hot. Why are you suddenly crazy?"

"Stop it," replied Daisy, patting Angelo's hand down. Then she pointed in the direction Drake left and said, "See? Drake was jealous?"

Hearing that, Angelo's heart raced. She looked away, but her face burned.

"How's that possible? Stop thinking about nonsense."

Though saying that, she agreed with Daisy. Thinking of the scene just now, she smiled and felt sweet in her heart.

Seeing Angelo like this, Daisy laughed, "Look! Mr. Angelo is shy." With that, she pinched Angelo's face but saw a cautious face.

"What?" she asked, didn't know what was wrong.

Angelo approached Daisy and whispered in her ear, "Daisy, I'm a celebrity now, so I may be tapped anytime. As my assistant, you should be cautious about your words."

"Especially my identity as Angelo, you can't say it casually," added Angelo seriously.

At this point, a light flashed through, making her squint. When she opened her eyes, she saw a middle-aged man running away.

"Dame it!" cursed her in a low voice, clenching her fists. Thinking of the posture between Daisy and her, she felt annoyed.

Daisy looked in the direction of the running man and guessed that they must be photographed just now.

"What should we do now?"

Looking at Angelo's expression, she felt kind of guilty. She was Angelo's assistant now, and it should her taken care of the problem, but she didn't know what to do.

Just then, Angelo's phone rang. It was an unknown number. Angelo hesitated but still answered it.

"Hello, Miss Watts. This is Karol, and this is my personal number. Please save it and call me if you have any problems."

Hearing that, Angelo thought her savior came. She knew Karol's ability, so she just told her about what had happened just now.

"Were you looking very close?"

"Yeah." Angelo nodded.

There was a moment of silence before Karol spoke again, "All right. I knew it. Don't worry. I'll deal with it."

Hearing that, Angelo was finally relieved. "Thanks, Karol!" she said before hanging up.

Beside her, Daisy looked aggrieved. She spouted and looked at Angelo cautiously, "I'm so useless, Angelo. I can't do anything."

Angelo couldn't help laughing at her words. She poked at Daisy's head and joked on her, "When did Miss Clark feel aggrieved for such a thing?"

But Daisy's face froze when she heard that. Then, she just walked away.

Seeing that, Angelo hurried to catch up and wondered whether Daisy felt aggrieved or not.

"All right. I was just kidding. You have no experience, so you don't know how to handle this. But it's easy to learn. So, you just need to do your job as my assistant well now."

"Really?" Daisy hurried to ask.

Angelo then nodded. Then she thought of something and firmly said, "Since you can convince Drake, you will be a good agent."

"Of course."
